KTM 690 Enduro: Testing The Limits - MVDBR Enduro

- Dougie & I got ourselves into some wet, slippery, gnarly single track on the big 690 Enduros on this ride. It was a lot of fun, even though we had the bikes stuck in tricky predicaments on several occasions. Greasy roots and treacherous red clay kept us on our toes for most of the ride. #ktm #ktm690enduro #mvdbr #hardadventure #dirtbikes #enduro

This vid is pure gold. Dougies roll over backwards with a twist and ending sitting on his arse was impressive.
Rolling around in the mud so soon on a ride, hahah classic cheers man
Outstanding day playing in the grease😬.
Twas a good'un, thank you sir 🍻
Well done fellas and steeds, great movie as usual Josh, it certainly did not disapoint. ✌️😎
Cheers Juddster, we (me Black Betty & Brewster) miss you n Hopper! Hope ya find time for us soon mate 🍻
Nice Josh, loved the intro 👍
Dougie has drawn the short straw on 2 occasions with it being greasy moist 💦
But yeah cool stuff 😎
Mate it's like that 24/7 for the last couple of months, no getting around it 😬 Hopefully we gonna get a beautiful dry autumn this year, be riding every feckin day 👌🤘
Just quickly; the T7 trip up to QLD is not going ahead but I rekon I might just throw the GasGas on a trailer and come up for a Brap with that!!
Early May 😎
@@CalumT700 now that will be fun 😎💪
Making me want a 690 and to live somewhere where exploration like this is possible 😂
😁👏
Hard days work in a greasy environment, and forced to drink ladies drinks definitely rough working conditions. Thanks for taking us along again . Cheers 🍻
Bloody ladies drinks just the final nail in the coffin after a day like that 😬 Altho that Bilson's & vodka... pretty tasty 🤩 Cheers Willy C
Great ride Josh, gets a bit greasy in them these hills as we all know. My two sons are learning about the red clay out at Mary’s, funny stuff, cheers.🤙
Cheers Andrew, I'm looking forward to some dusty conditions for a bit of a change haha 😎
Good to have you back on YT!! Cheers mate
Good to be back! 😅
Some quality conditions for some fun , cheers 4 sharing sir.
Cheers big feller, mate we need to do a beach ride or something soon ish if ya keen 🤔
@@MVDBR pretty sure i can't keep up with you two
@@JustTex yeah right, I've seen your sand dune skills!
Bahaha start of the video had me
Worried I was like uhhh Josh please don’t change 😂
Nah mate can never shut me up for too long when the camera is rolling 😜
Rear facing footage looks the goods!
Was a bit shaky tho, damn GoPro 👊 cheers bro
Love ya tee mate, some who wander aren't lost 👌
Good stuff mate 💪💪
Hello Josh, fantastic ride, Gnarly steep climbs and slipper down hills and the creek crossing thru clay, very funny; both bikes having a rest...muddy wet conditions...loved every second. David....Adelaide/Kilburn....Triumph Tiger 900 & MG V7 Stone...touring.....
Thanks David, not gonna lie I'm looking forward to some dry conditions if it ever stops raining for long enough in QLD 😁
Well its dry, hot and sunny here in SA....you can always come over to dry out! LOL...@@MVDBR
@@davidcauchi2837 sounds good 😎😎
Great days riding mate , cant wait to get back on mine .
Hope ya gonna come for a rip with me for real chief 🍻
Great video 🤘🏻
Love the 690 it seems to suit your riding style and makes the best content IMO 🚀
Glad ya like this stuff mate it's the most fun riding. I kinda feel like the 690 content doesn't really appeal to a wide audience tho, the enduro guys are unimpressed cause it's not real hard enduro, and the adventure guys are unimpressed cause we're not doing this shit on big heavy twins 😅🤦♂ Ah well whatever as long as blokes like you keep watching 🤘🤘
That clay at the creek was fkn hectic! 😂
Yeah the rain sure didn't help 😅
WOWZERS, proper slimefest. Great followcam footage through the lantarna.
Once you start getting tired, it all feels so much harder to achieve don't it. I can see the T7 getting sold with how well you seem to be gelling with the 690.
I think that was possibly the toughest ride you've shared, certainly of recent times! 🙂
It definitely felt like the toughest mate I was absolutely stuffed at the end of that day! I dunno about selling the T7, the 690 is great for these kinds of rides but I dunno about the bigger rides, and camping. Tenere's definitely the tool for that job but I'll see what happens I think I'll have to downsize to one bike again eventually. Thanks for watching Pete 🍻
@@MVDBR it is tough finding that Goldilocks of motorcycles... am kind of wanting to amalgamate my Tuareg and Beta into a single do it all bike, but being short in the leg really toughens up the choices
Awesome man looked hectic ,,,
It was a workout for these old dogs that's for sure man 🙈🥴🍻
Nice one josh
Thank you sir 😎
@14:50 made me laugh fellas, nothing like a good roll around in wet clay to top off a ride 🤣
😅 greasy clay in the rain, there's nothing quite like it mate 😁🍻
Harte Jungs. Hard Boys.
Alte Jungs 😬 haha cheers man
Good ride. Imagine doing this on the T7.
Yeah nah 😅 I'd give most of that a crack in the dry, but in the wet.... no spanx 💩
I like the 💩 talk😂😂 gold Josh...
Ah I knew at least one person would dig it 😅 cheers man
man that looked kinda fun in a painfull way 🤣👌 slippery red clay is a real bitch hay 🤬
loving the content Josh & Dougie😁👍
keep well guys and ride safe-ish 😉🍺
Cheers Jeff, hope ya managing to get that Rekluse tweaked just right mate 🍻
what a brutal wet ride! but looked fun none the less, sucks about the cameras!
Cheers Jeff, thankfully was only temporary malfunctioning 🍻
👍👍👍
💪💪
Slippin' n slidin' on the 606's.
Speaking of slippery stuff..I know you know the perils of slimey concrete causeways, I watched YT clip of a young lady having a slow speed off, and breaking her leg. It's "Rem Adventures", a fellow Queenslander, on a CRF 300 Rally.
Yeah I did catch that vid mate, same road Juddy took a spill on but don't think it was the same causeway. Unlucky 😬 cheers
Here's a few canuck bucks for a new GoPro!
Thanks man! It still works but whenever it gets a drop of water on that USB port or something it says nope, no more. But all good I'll put that coin towards a new Insta360 🍻
@@MVDBR Get enough water in there and it might stop working for good! But yes an Insta360 would be good too, heck an X3 might be a neat addition to get you those extra camera angles you use. 🤔
I gotta get a 690.
They're a lotta fun!
Is that amber light on your dash a low fuel light? It's making me anxious and I'm just parked on the couch😅
Nah ABS 🍻
Dunlop will never sponsor you with that kind of attitude 😂
😅😅
Which mode are you riding on the 690. TC on or off ?
My 2018 doesn't have such a switch, so off 🍻 Pretty sure Dougie rides with his off.
Loving the 690 content mate.
How many k's range ya getting fuel wise?
I'm seriously considering a 690 or 701 as a replacement for my pimped DR 650.
Cheers for sharing bro.🍻
It's not real good mate haha, Dougie's fuel light has come on at I think around the 140km mark on the last 2 rides. Mine is not far behind usually at around 150-160, so probably looking at 200 tops from the main tank. The Rade Garage aux tank is good for those longer rides but ya really feel that extra 6kg up front, so I don't carry fuel in that unless I'm sure I'm gonna need it. Mate the 70hp fun factor over the DR is probably still worth it haha but I don't wanna be a bad influence 😬 Cheers Glenn
@MVDBR yeah that 70hp has me curious.
The Pig is a great exploration bike for remote trips like the Simpson etc, but I must admit it's as boring as fck for most things 🤣
@@glennaltschwager5234 yeah mate reliability is great but life's too short to not have that fun factor. Like the T7 is mad fun but the 690 is in a different league, it's 100% hoon bike 😅👍
I didn’t bend the throttle tube on my 2019 690 like Josh and Dougie and often got 280km/160 miles out of a tank. Bike was 100% stock exhaust and motor-wise. 20,000km/12,000 miles with no issues.
@@paulvanhout9695 280! 🤔🤔
21:34 were your phone gone josh
Tank bag 👍
@@MVDBR 👋🤠👍
2:46 bad workman blames there tools 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
The 606 is not a tool it's a piece of poo 😁🍻
@@MVDBR don't tell mark from biker bits he swears by them 👋🤠👍
@@cliff1551 I know 😬 they're not that bad lol just not that good. But we'll see if I do any better with a different tyre 🥴
@@MVDBR TUSK 2 TRACK tires ,I'm thinking my next change from TKC80s to these
