Arnold Schwarzenegger told a story about how on one occasion he happened to be eating in a hotel dining room and he answered some reporter questions. Then Schwarzenegger says that Charles Bronson also happened to be eating in the dining room that day and that when somebody walked to Bronson's table and asked him questions about his movies, Bronson replies:"I hate small talk." Schwarzenegger says that after that everybody in the Hotel dining room avoided Bronson.
I disagree with him saying The Mechanic is the only genuinely good film Winner made. The first Death Wish is still a great film and character study that remains compelling to this day. Chato's Land was also great, as was Jokers from 1967
I Agree, and the reason for Death Wish 1's Success and favourite of all the Death Wish movies (Amongst Fans ) Was because Deno De Laurentiis Produced it ! . 👍
If Alex knew what Bronson was going through with his wife Jill being sickly , then he could have spoken a bit nicer about Charles Bronson an if anyone knew of Bronson's life history - he had a lot of hard times growing up - so there was no need for him to bash him -- critique him maybe of his acting skills but not sound mean of him - loved all 5 Death Wish films . Alex is a good actor but, giving critique of other actors he should be much nicer about it.
This isnt exactly TRUE. First they started shooting the movie in East New York. About 20-25% into the shoot, The mayor of New York, David Dinkins became enraged at the film portraying the City of New York & the police as totally inept. He took away their filming permit so Michael Winner was not going to stop him so he then ordered the production to recreate an area of England to look more South Bronx than East new York because (no joke)_ they couldn't recreate the utter burned out decay of East New York so he went with a South Bronx set.

Can't blame Bronson for just wanting to eat his dinner.
Just finished Death Wish 3. Im scared of anyone over 50 now
Drew Nichols lol
Death Wish 3 is a masterpiece!
It's bloody so is wow 10 mins later in still in tears 😭🤣
This interview was most excellent
Before Bill and Ted, part of a gang in Death Wish 3 with Bronson.
The first Death Wish is more of a drama. The sequels are over the top action flicks. My favorite is Death Wish 2.
Death Wish 3 is awesome
I recently saw Alex Winter interviewed on Kevin Pollack's chat show and was very impressed. Well worth an hour of your time if you care to look it up.
Death wish 3.
Oscar winner? No
Entertaining? YES!
You could see part of the set going on the train going towards Waterloo station at the time.

Bronson could not stand many of the films he did in the 1980's so it does not surprise me that he showed no enthusiasm for yet another vigilante role.
Great interview

um, Ed Koch was mayor of NYC at the time of filming DW3, not Dinkins.
Great guy
YES! YES! YES!
a fine actor, very undderated, he shouldve had more screen time....
Winner was definitely a hack but I highly recommend his 1967 comedy, The Jokers.
