Death in Fire when I was a 16 year old kid discovering metal, the video clip on TV with these men windmill headbanging on a live stage playing a style that was dark but ultra melodic at the same time. I thought I'd come into a goldmine.
but you did. amon amarth have been forging bangers since 1992 bby
omg same here, here we are
Same bitch. Uranium with julya or whatever her name was and my guy Johan was like "😃the end of the world...as we know it😃" lmfao! I was instantly a fan
For the Stabwounds in our backs, my head is part of the riff
Thousands years of oppression and Rainbow bridge are legendary. My favorites of this amazing album
Same here haha. These ones slap extra hard!
They still haven't touched this album. I love the band don't get me wrong. But I can't fathom how this album isn't highlighted as THE MASTERPIECE. It's fucking perfect all the way through. That perfect ground that viking metal is always trying to find in between meaning and heavy without being cheesy or a novelty. This album hits no matter what. If you've never heard it before or the genre. It's perfect after all these years.
IMO Oden equals it, although that album's a little too short. Twilight has individual songs that match this quality but the album as a whole isn't as strong
It’s almost perfect but I find myself skipping Bloodshed sometimes when I listen to it. The Avenger is king for me
I think the only other album which comes close is sutur rising
the band literally always says "we're not viking metal" but ok
@@manfrombritain6816 fair enough, frankly I haven't listened to anything they say since this album lol. And this album for sure seems pretty damn vikingish too me. But hey let's argue more semantics about genres.
Still my favorite album of all time, dont care what you think.
of Amon Amarth, or of all bands altogether ? If it's option 2, what's your second top album of all-time after this one ?
@@yoe91 favorite of all time. The second is actually a really hard question. This album is special to me because I listened to it so much in high school when I was getting into metal and I love how grandiose this one sounds while still having the old school super condensed death metal tone. My next would be a tie between :
Carach angren: where the corpses sink forever
Gojira: terra incognita
All shall perish : price of existence
Job for a cowboy: suneater
Watain: sworn to the dark
I have to put some more thought into this lol
@@darthtrolleus1947 Berzerker is easily their worst album
@@darthtrolleus1947 👍🤘
I don't care what you think either! This is the first album I heard from Amon Amarth! Love it! Kudos to you and Amon Amarth! That's how I feel!
This album started a long journey into melodic death metal for me, whose end is still not within sight
Un grupo de rock muy bueno
Same
Death in the fire - amazing drums and everything !
Death in fire. Still sounds good!💪
forgot how much i love this album, geez i was literally 13 -14 listening to this everydady. crazy
Yes Bro truely the same. For me it was the first album that I heard with 8 years and finally later again with 13-16 years. And is the best album of Amon Amarh in my opinion.
This is one of a few albums I consider epic.
When did I write this comment?

Same here
I like Amon Amarth because unlike many other "Melodic Death Metal" bands, this is mostly still derived from Death Metal as opposed to Power Metal.
You should try intestinal baalism or argohslent (argohslent are racist though)
Try God Dethroned sometime :)
Thank you again to my viking friend Chris. Such a good album and such a good friend! I will never forget either!
Across the Rainbow Bridge is one of the best metal songs I've ever heard, top 5. Or even just one of the best songs regardless of genre. It's like 1000 pages of Tolkien wrapped into 4 minutes.
It's definitely a more boring metal song imo, especially for Amon Amarth.
Try out Valkyria, Fate of Norns, any song off Surtur Rising as well
Yeah agreed! The riff at the end is simple epic bliss. Not a heavy song but awesome~!
Such an emotional track. Never misses
It’s up there my boy
The best AA album and one of the best death Metal of all times
Normally I don't really like death metal, but these guys put more effort than most of them and actually sound good. Lots of great riffs and love the album art, too.
amon amarth are one of the safest bands out there. I don't see "more effort put than most of them" in this band. While yes, this is a great album, the band got very repetitive and boring after twilight of the thunder god.
I'm not keen on growly vocals
But this fella is awesome
And you can actually hear the words
😁🤘
We covered "Death in Fire" with our band almost 15 years ago, when we were teens. We also tried to cover "Down the Slopes of Death" but our drummer just couldn't keep up...
A classic!
I was never a great drummer, but Death in Fire was so much fun to play!
Same. We were 16 and 17. I had the tapping part on guitar, and I'd come up with a version that required just the left hand, so I could gently shush the crowd with the other hand lol coz they got loud because the other instruments stopped.
please share with us the version!
Great classic stuff 🤘🤘🤘
This is what I always wanted from metal. One of my favorite albums of all time and I’m not even a metal head
Awesome Record! The Drum Sound is so perfect🤘👌
"Bloodshed", "Where Silent Gods Stand Guard" and "Versus the World" are the best songs on this album..
The Best Titel from Amon Amarth...
Found this album inside salvaged audio tape. The only track I was able to understand was "Bloodshed", so I searched "Bloodshed metal song" and find it ! Glad to discover another band this way ! (previously God Dethroned on the same tape, but the Amon Amarth one was cut at the end because of the lack of space)
This is an album that every track is great, holy shit, so good! Congrats from Brazil.
the best album!!!
Diskutabilno, in vino/pivo/rum/pelin/jager/whiskers veritas. Is. 😁👌 Ili vodka. Al 1. 7. 8. - > Thallasici.
would buy this cd
and this bois, is how you make an album. epic from start to finish.
My first metal album i heard 🙌
And so a legend was born...
"With Oden On Our Side" and this album are Amon Amarth's best albums.
This is my favorite from them, by far.
Man IVE ALWAYS LOVED THIS ALBUM Since i was a kid. When metal was alive and taking over the world for the 90s , 2000 anyway. i still have this cd album and booklet.
One of the Best Metal Albums You heard Growing up ! One of there best albums hands down
WHERE SILENT GODS STAND GUARD is my favourite AMON AMARTH song.
First Amon Amarth album I heard.
Way ahead of its time , about 15 years later people woke up to them😂
Their best album.
Great album.👍🎶🎼🎵
Still the greatest Amon album to date. And I doubt they'll ever make a better one.
Wholly agree
With Oden on Our Side is about as good, but you're right, they're certainly not on track to make anything better after the last two clunkers.
thx for uploading

Makin Odin proud brothers.
Love how literal is the album cover
Bestes Album by Amon Amarth ever!!!
best amon album forever
Accross the rainbow Bridge
Here for the 20th Anniversary of this album 1.14.2023. SKOL!
🤘
Yes sound cek good
Planet Amon Amarth
Living out the last days of my House . In despair .
But the prophecy remain .
While the company be true
This is probably my fourth favorite album from Amon Amarth behind Twilight of the Thunder God,Deciever of the Gods & Oden on our side. It's still a bad ass album though.
Deceiver is trash compared to this
@@Transilvanian90 I strongly disagree I really would have a hard time deciding which one was my favorite out of the three. VS the world is a very good album. But I don't think it's even close to the three I mentioned.
@@davidlairson7998 Even Surtur rising is better than Deciever of the gods imo
We need this advice to survive the most morally corrupt society to ever exist.
It's was released in my 2 yrs old birthday!
it was realeased on my 6 year old bday! and this is one of my favorite bands today!
You can't tell me this wasn't the inspiration for Dethklok, 'cause I won't believe it.
Viking Power 💪
Death in fire before I was 4, was immitating Dad, zie Electrition...😼 Just w8in for the slower to choose side already...
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Amon Amart
Playing Skyrim with this album.im an orc that joined the stormcloaks.
hail to the true sons and daughters of Skyrim!
KULTALBUM!!!!! 💥💥💥💥👁👁🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘😎😎😎😎
Call me crazy but both the 2013 (from MetalBlade) and 2016 uploads (from Amon Amarth) sound better to my ears. This one has kinda harsh treble
How can I get a hold of the 2013 remastered of this? Vs. The World
🤘🔥⚔️🌩️🌪️🌋
last good one
Viking blood and Pegan soul💪💪💪
Death fire talking

Just listen to the old upload of this so you dont get fucked by endless shoved in ads in this one here
Just use a freakin' adblocker and you'll be fine. It's 2022 and it's been around for years now...
Other groups playing Amon amarth ......kill.....I have three months listen them.
Why does it have to be so angry and violent?
lol
You must be new.

Actually old. :) Just poking fun at all the people that get bent out of shape when I accidentally play my music out loud...
This is the way.

@@hvitekristesdod That's what I'm talking about. Excellent ranking!
@@Transilvanian90 your opinion. And I really don t care about your opinion
@@andrecastanho6833 That's great bro. And your ranking just proves that you're a casual who likes the most shallow AA material like Berserker and Jomsviking. That album doesn't belong anywhere NEAR a top 5 of their stuff.
Disappointed in the band’s diversity pandering, but live long enough, & 98% of all your favorite bands will disappoint you. A great album on doubt, perhaps their best!
