Love the ending about film film projection, wonder whether there are any psychological differences of how viewer perceives the film, attention span and so on

I would think that if there is some benefit to the alternating image and darkness of the analog film projector, it would be a simple task to write a program that recreates this effect by causing a blackout every other fraction of a second during the rendering out the final movie.
