Im a foreign-educated nurse from the Philippines🇵🇭, did self review while working as a RN at the OR. I asked my staff scheduler to place me in the afternoon shift (2-10pm), so I can study in the morning. I used Kaplan CATs and qbanks💜 and LaCharity ebook💚 for 6 weeks. Did the CAT first to diagnose myself🔬before running the qbanks and to identify what topics to dive deeper for content review📘. Then I had 3 CATs going into the last few days prior to exam day. Passed all 4 CATs✅. Took the NCLEX June 2023 and passed first take, 85 questions🎉. My best advice to anyone aspiring to pass the NCLEX RN is to pray everyday, because God will provide you with all the breakthroughs you need based on your current situation❤. In my case, working full time gave me limited time to prepare but the Lord was still sweet as ever! ✅✅✅
ATI is the death of me. I have two ATI Exams today for Peds and OB. I Just ordered an NCLEX study notebook from Nurseinthemakings store. I’ll be Graduating in April.
depends on what you have tried prior. It is tough when you have been out of class for that long but not impossible. I would start with practice questions and seeing where your knowledge gaps lie then start studying from there
Can you show us your examples of How do you ladies take notes during assigned textbook reading, and how to take notes during in class lectures for pre-requisites general class and core requisites for the nursing program?
I did not know this. Thank you guys for this. My hubby is military and we have to move before I get my approval. I’ve been unsure because my hubby was just told we leave by Dec 24 and I grad Dec 24
Is fresh heart from or get 2 nurse to 1 patient. Do they try extubate heart patient within 6 to 12 hours. My mom having open heart aortic valve replacement and aortic root surgery.
The ratios are different at every facility. I used to recover fresh heart patients and also have another assignment (1 nurse 2 patients). Patients who are stable should ideally be fast tracked for extubation but depends on how they are doing clinically. Good luck to your mom!
Really helpful! I am a nurse graduating with my BScN in Canada 🇨🇦.

10 years since I graduated, failed 4 times. What do you recommend? Shouldn’t I read everything again? I really need my license.
