New grad MSN CVICU nurse here! I’m trying to make it into CRNA school within 1-2 years. It’s definitely nerve wrecking but I look forward to hearing more about your journey! Subscribed to your content 👍🏼
Congratulations! I hope school is going well for you. What do you think made you stand out in your interview? I have a chemistry degree with a 2.5 gpa and a bsn with. 3.75. Like you said it haunts you. Been rejected from two schools and finally got an interview at the 3rd one.
I feel like a lot of what helped me feel valid as a candidate was everything I did outside of school. I was charge a lot on my unit, PICC nurse, transport nurse, and more. I made sure to really sell myself in the interviews.
I’m a newer NICU nurse that’s considering CRNA within the next 10 years. If you could do it over again, would you do a few years in adult ICU or do you feel NICU experience was adequate?
Overall GPA of 3.46…. Debating taking A grad level biostats and seeing if that helps at all just to boost me to closer to a 3.5 in the eyes of admissions counselors
That’s an excellent GPA. if you want to grad level classes I recommend doing it. Although you are a fantastic candidate without it. I’m sure you’ll have no trouble gaining acceptance!
@@jeenaalexandracrna thank you for responding!! I think I might just do physics instead because I’ve never taken any physics at all, and I’ve been warned CRNA physics is difficult. Your comment gave me hope ☺️ thank you
Hi!! I know this was posted long ago but do CRNA school go by your program grading school or by what you scored on the course? In my program a 93.8 is an A- a 92 is a B. I’m not sure how CRNA schools calculate Applicants GPAs
@@jeenaalexandracrna Thanks for the reply. I'm hoping to work in Peds Surgery (you probably have the same goal) and I want to stay true to my goals without following the cookie cutter path to CRNA school.
Hello ma'am, I am a nurse anesthetist from Indonesia. I have 8 years of experience. I want to register as a registered nurse anesthetist. Do I still have to start college from the beginning?
Thanks for your reply! Im gonna be starting in a level 3 NICU in july and want to give crna school a shot in a few years 🙈 I dont know if i’d be able to get in but I’d rather try and fail then never try at all 🙂 thanks for all your videos i havent found many NICU nurse to CRNA’s except for you!
I like how you quickly go straight to the point
Thank you

This is most realistic because I been seeing videos that you need a 4.0 gpa to get into crna school and graduating the top of the class.
Congratulations on your acceptance and thank you for sharing 😃
Thank you for sharing these information with us. I really appreciate it. Keep following your dreams.

Hi! I'm curious if you had to complete a scholarly project or manuscript for a scientific journal during the CRNA program. Thanks!
@@jeenaalexandracrna Do have any idea of what it might be?
Oh, I forgot to ask, how are you liking the program so far? I didn’t know you were in your second semester!

@@jeenaalexandracrna WOW! 😮 You are quite the success story. Thank you for the motivation!
When did you graduate from your BSN?
Did you have to take general chemistry and organic since you got you ASN degree first?
May I please ask which CRNA are you currently attending?

She recently stated that her bachelors in Biology GPA was a 2.42 but her BSN is a 3.4 so overall her GPA was a 2.9
Competitive BSN GPA’s are 3.6-3.7+
