I already knew you were happy with the bike but it seems like you are totally in love with it and rightly so, definitely the right bike for the majority of your riding and as you say, you still have the Ripmo for other stuff and Spain (not long now mate - I am getting really excited). Love the video, may sound like a daft thing to pick up on but it really works with you chatting directly to the camera occasionally, makes it feel more like you are addressing us, if that makes sense 👍

When I buy a new bike I don't ride it for the first month. I just keep it in the house and admire it every chance I can. I come in the house, to the bedroom and stand there for a good 10 minutes, gushing over the perfect bike in full appreciation and joy. It is so beautiful. My wife of course just rolls her eyes and laughs, but she of course is used to it by now. Alas, I take it out and put it through the paces never to see it new again! But of course, it is the riding of the machine that is the point! 😂

@@davemtbpowell3965 I honestly can’t see me riding the ripmo very much. The Scott is really good going down. Actually thinking about just putting another set of wheels on when doing anything rough like lakes rides, where do you take yours. And what’s the travel. This Scott is 120 130.
@@TrailFinder it's an orange stage evo so same travel as yours. I've been absolutely everywhere on it and I've not felt under biked yet. Tbf ive not done an uplift on it yet but it's fine coz I dont do them much anyway and if I do I'm sure it will be fine for the odd 1 or 2 a year. It suites me and the 90% of the riding I do perfectly.

Lovely bike, I got schooled the other day guiding a guy on a 120mm down country bike round the four passes. If you want mega fast rolling tyres I've been pretty impressed with my maxxis recon race , there excellent on rock maybe a bit lacking on muddy stuff.

When my e-bike was needing a new motor earlier in the year under warranty I needed a bike for a 50th birthday trip to the lakes (was going to the canaries but thought I'd do the lakes instead and include some MTBing due to being easter 😊). I missed out on a few reduced XC bikes, eventually I found a Lapierre xr 5.9. not being sure of the brand and its absolute entry level compared to yours, but at less than a grand and a half for a new carbon XC full suss I've been really impressed with what its capable of. Obviously not as capable on the rough stuff, but still able and great on climbs and really nimble and quick covering ground.
@@Dalbymtb the standard Scarhouse loop is 100% weather friendly. But this route the 2 descents which start at the shooting huts can get abit muddy over winter

@@HallMarc_Trails got new XC tyres on now. And I’m beating Strava times by minutes not seconds. It cruises along on the flat a 20mph, so quick, Wasn’t bothered about the tyre wiz. But now I’ve got it. It’s great to see the pressures all the time on the garmin. And will always have the correct pressure in there
Thought it would be pretty much exactly this. Nice to see another convert to the joys of remote lockout on tarmac. No idea how you get away with those pressures though, no wonder you have so much climbing grip.

@@dazbbgful a wheel only becomes untrue as it’s 3 different parts. A hub spokes and a rim. These are all on pieces of carbon. The hubs spokes and rims is all one piece. They are very stiff. But if they did flex. The would just flex back into position,
I bought a Whyte E150rs 4 years ago and it's done 3 miles! I have exactly the same thoughts as you in that I'm not quite ready yet but have riding buddies who are progressing to E bikes, so the time will come when I start to ride it to keep up😀@@TrailFinder
