Very entertaining first part of the video! I don't blame you spending big in order to get more of the Space GWPs - basically a £50 free set, which might appreciate even more in a year or two.
Thanks for watching. My face is a picture, and I love how it takes me an eternity to figure out what had happened. That gwp is a fab set and I'm glad I have a few of them now.
Thanks. I love how I just get lost in the moment and it takes me ages to fight what's happened! I think the police training set uses the cactus costume arms from a former minifigure, but recoloured to match the police uniform
Hi Iain, Nice video mate. Thank you. Space shuttle is interesting me, also the Elderado set. Little pricey at the moment, will keep looking. Cheers Iain.
I hope the auction house can get your sets back for you. I purchased the space gwp for £35 including postage as there's nothing here to buy. Looking forward to 1 March
I was tempted by the cantina, but I decided to get for other sets and get the gwp instead. I'm sure the Cantina willbe reduced again later in the year.
I got that police set on the Argos deal to use as MOC pieces, some really nice bits in it including a puppy and dog that would cost almost £3 for the pair on pick a brick alone. Wheels, tyres and wheel connecters are really expensive as well and you get 6 in the set, the tyres alone are £1.44 each the wheels are 82p each. For a £10 set as part of an Argos deal it's really good value. I still use Argos as have a major one open late a 10 mins walk away, really convenient to buy something and pick it up the same day, usually within the same hour.
A lot of city sets get overlooked but I acquite like this one. As you say, lots of unusual and expensive parts. Unfortunately my nearest Argos is a 30 min drive away so I find it much easier to get stuff delivered from Amazon
Very good deals and the variety suits your selling platform. I seen the auctions possibly from where you have purchased, was very tempting but as you say before when you add in the fees and VAT plus shipping it can add up alot even if your buying retired sets just to build. For what i was interested in not much better than Ebay prices. I could be wrong but i feel you need to have a healthy budget when you to the auction so you can buy multiple sets to reduce some postage costs? When the price is going £3-500 on a set or £150 on a minifigure those fees tend to jump. Well done on grabbing any bargins.
Thanks. I do spend a lot of time looking at prices of sets on these auctions. I will factor in fees and postage and put my max bids in. I've learned not to go above my max bids and if I get outbid, the so be it. There's definitely profit still to be made on these auctioned sets, as long as you don't but too high.
I’m Andy and so is my wife!! … sorry, couldn’t resist the “Life of Brian” Monty Python joke there!! 😂 Sorry to hear they messed you about, fingers crossed this gets sorted quickly!! Nice haul as usual and good luck with Hampshire Brick Festival!!
@@iainsbricks Don’t blame you, I’d be doing the same … stupid to say as I know you’ll post a video, but keep us posted on how you do? Interested to see how busy it’ll be this early in the year, although personally I think LEGO being LEGO it’ll do well!!
Your Auction house wrong order is something similar that happened to me this week and also put a mistrust of ordering through Amazon. I ordered a brand new iPad from Amazon as they were 25% off and received an LED ceiling light, probably worth around £25. My faith in Amazon has dropped somewhat after that. I guess somebody else ordered a ceiling light and received an iPad. I wonder if they’ll be returning their item 🤔
These thing do happen from time to time with delivery companies. Hopefully you will eventually get your ipad. I'm fairly confident the auction house will be able to sort this all out.
I’ve raised a return for a full refund on the iPad and won’t buy one from there again. If you bought from Vectis then they are pretty good but if you did then I would be surprised they made the mistake tbh.
Ian I would be the same with the order. Sry I haven't be here much yesterday I got a tooth pulled so wasn't in the mood for UA-cam. Great video as always ❤
What a shambles. And they have the audacity to charge huge postage - surely they didn't charge you individual postage for each item and send them in one parcel but not combined? Hope you get your correct order ASAP. I'm.not using them.
I'm sure it will get sorted out. They have a clear pricing structure for their items, although I should have really queried it with them as it was a bit high. I'll know to check next time.
@@iainsbricks There's no excuse for Argos, as they could insist that their supplier put extra packaging around the boxes, then Argos tell their staff to be extra careful with them.
They obviously write the names on the shipping boxes to marry up to the shipping labels so someone at the auction house has screwed up. I wonder if this Andy has your parcel or if they have really, really screwed up and there are multiple people with the wrong parcels. I hope you’ll do a quick video when you find out what happened and what they are going to do to resolve the situation because I would be interested to learn what the outcome was.
I hope my auction order is what i bid on, although the action man does go for a fairly good price. And yes need to do your research and bid accordingly, and its probably best not to watch it live as you tend to over bid.
I'm sure the items I was sent are worth much more than the Lego I bid on, but I'm no expon those sorts of sets. I just hope I can get my Lego and the owner of these sets can be located.
Beware George/Asda have started shipping Lego in plastic bags, received a Ninjago Destiny's Bounty set that looked like it had been trod on,squashed, torn & completely open.Customer services were great & they are collecting it & have warned them not to become another Argos.
Oh dear - that's a shame. Thanks for the heads up. I tend not to buy from Asda as my nearest stores never have much Lego in and the Online offers tend not to last very long.
I bet that your order went to ANDY APPLETON. HMM I HOPE YOU GET YOUR ORDER MATE GEE I HOPE you let us know what happened with your order and why the business you ordered from. Sent you the wrong order that is bad business I hope it’s not the postie fault. Hmm well I hope you do do another video when u get your right order to you. Soon so we all can see what you ordered . My question is to you is will you be ordering again from that business that sent you the wrong order. Hmm be interesting your view on it. Dude from Lego Kate
I'm pretty sure my order willbe with this Andy guy. These things happen. Doesn't put me off ordering from the same company again. The outer box definitely had my name and address on the box. I just thin they have somehow mixed up the order.
The fact you said you brought sets you wouldn't of brought for a gift with purchase shows youre on the verge of an unhealthy addiction. Be careful my friend.
I always like to get a few good gwp's when they are available. I've been Lego investing for a while so it's commonplace for me to buy sets in advance of them retiring.
The expressions on your face when you worked out you got the wrong order!!! Should have checked to see if it was worth more then the LEGO!!
It is probably worth more than what I bought, but it's just not my thing so I'm happy to send it on to its rightful owner.
Those classic space GWPs are very popular so it's definitely worth buying a full price set just to get them!
had me in stitches ......sorry loved the wtf face . priceless vid

I did the same exact thing for the space GWP; I picked up the Eldorado Fortress
Excellent choice
Just had my first Quidco cash back come through / thanks for the recommendation.
That's excellent.
3.27 is priceless
It took a while for my brain to figure out what was going on
3:27 - You can time stamp videos by writing the numbers separated by colons, and that reaction from Iain was great! 😁
Nice video :) Funny face when you saw something else in the box :-O
It was weird as I knew it wasn't Lego but it took my brain quite a while to figure out exactly what was going on! 😅
Thanks Ian. Love the videos! Great entertainment when you realised you had the wrong order🤣.
Matt from Dorset.

Hi Iain, Nice video mate. Thank you. Space shuttle is interesting me, also the Elderado set. Little pricey at the moment, will keep looking. Cheers Iain.
Yes, both have to potential to be reduced at some point, but I don't mind paying full price from Lego if the GWP is good.
Your not going to believe it I also purchased the Shuttle last week and it came today 😂
Great minds think alike!
good reaction video, specially when you noticed that they send you the wrong box, cheers
Thanks for watching

How are you getting Amazon to price match Argos? Is this a life hack I don't know about?
So Amazon have been a bit sneaky and the 2 for £20 deals and the 2 for £30 deals only show once you have clicked on the item.
I just happened to look on ebay and I must say you've made out like a bandit with the Dark troopers lol you planning on selling any at HBE?
Did they sell out in November? As it seems they were 80 ish in November aswell.
Yes, I'm glad I got a few of them. I may take 1 to the HBE to see if it sells.
Yes, I think they did sell out in November or early December. It doesn't take too long for sets like this to increase in value if they are popular
