It's such a great resort for a vacation! I am still missing the taco cart out by the pool. And the craft cocktails in the lobby lounge in the evening. Enjoy.
That's a hard one to answer. They tell you everything is included at the all-inclusive resorts, but about half the people I see there do tip. So it is a personal decision whether to tip or not.
This might sound silly, but i've never been to an "all-inclusive resort", so please bear with me; are all the food and drinks REALLY free? Or are only a couple spots actually free, with the rest being charged extra?
At most all-inclusive resorts, there is a VIP section, that has a separate restaurant and bar for those that pay extra for it. And there might be an item or two on the menu that has an up-charge (but they clearly state how much it is). Like a premium steak, for example, instead of a regular steak. But for the most part, all the food places are included and all the drinks. Most all-inclsuives in Cancun have multiple restaurants, such as an Asian restaurant, an Italian, a Mexican, etc. And lots of bars. They try to provide variety so everyone is happy. I highly recommend this Marriott for quality of the food, and drinks. I didn't pay extra for anything.
@@Passporttotravel Thank you for your detailed response! With all the free options, it doesn't feel necessary to pay for any upcharges/premium packages. Was there a drink/food limit, when you went?
Drinks are included. Maybe if you asked for an expensive premium liquor, there would be an uncharge, but all regular drinks I had were included, and they were really great cocktails.
I understand beer and wine are included... is the liquor such as scotch, vodka, bourbon and the like and mixed cocktails on drinks like daiquiris, pina coladas, mai tais and so forth also included?
On the website states: Minibar, for a fee! I have never seen this at an All inclusive. Also option Elevate & Indulge: Supreme Sips Adults Package Premium Add-On Include: Premium Beverages for two adults *Additional guests will be pay Premium bar at check in. fee of 1368.00 USD for 1 week, is this worth it?
Is room service and mini bar included in the all-inclusive? We're arriving late night and want to know if we'll be able to get some dinner if the restaurants are closed.
@@Passporttotravel Marriott Cancun. I asked the front desk and they told me the minibar is not included . Could it have been a communication problem? Possibly
@@mattbateh8717 So people that aren't staying there don't enter and take advantage of the free food and drinks. You wear a visible wristband for that purpose.
No they did not. I would say they are close to completion, but I would email down to them and ask for a date, so that you don't make reservations and are then disappointed. It wouldn't surprise me if it was open this summer.
Yes they do, and the best deal is if you have enough points to book at least 5 nights, you will receive one free night! But you must book whole stay paying with points only..,you will need around 320,000 points to book 5 nights, depending on season (points will be used to pay 4 nights and 5th night is free). I recently booked 5 nights for January 2025 paying with my points only:)
@@Passporttotravel will do. I've been to the Excellence resorts twice and it was awesome. Have you been at any of there resorts? If so, I assume you are going to say they were alot nicer than Marriott all inclusive?
Yes there is. Expect live music. We saw a band in the front courtyard, an also a children's faire set-up out there too. The hotel has a schedule that changes every night.
Ooh, was looking for this review! Thank you!
Hope you like it!
Keep these awesome travel videos coming.!
Thanks! Will do!
Thanks for the video. I am thinking of looking into a booking at this resort. I love properties that are new and clean.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the great review. I'll be visiting in December. My wife booked and I wasn't sure what to expect until now.

We're going in January. Please let me know how your experience was when you get home. Enjoy.
When you eat at the restaurants, are you expected to tip or are tips included?

No there wasn't. You could eat and drink as much as you wanted.
@@Passporttotravel Awesome! Thank you!
How would you rate the beach for snorkeling? Any fish?🐟
The water is a little too rough for snorkeling IMO.
Are the alcohol drinks included in the prices, or are those subject to an additional charge?
Drinks are included. Maybe if you asked for an expensive premium liquor, there would be an uncharge, but all regular drinks I had were included, and they were really great cocktails.
@@Passporttotravel Is there a limit to how many you can have in one day?
I don't think so. They don't charge it into a tab, so no one is keeping track of it.
We’re traveling in October. Do you know if the water park renovations will be completed by then?
I don't know, but based on how far along they were when I was there in May, I would think they would be.
Do they have lazy river? And what about kids area and pool?
No lazy river. Yes they have a kids water area with slides.
I have only been to Adult only All Inclusives. I saw on your review they have an Adult only pool, do they have an Adult only restaurant?
I don't think so.
What are the wine options? I assume just red and white house wine that's included?
Yes, just house wine.

Yes mini bar and room service is included in your room price. Have fun!
@@Passporttotravel Umm, they told me the mini bar is not included in the room price. I didn't ask about room service.

@@Passporttotravel Marriott Cancun. I asked the front desk and they told me the minibar is not included . Could it have been a communication problem? Possibly
I would ask again, as mini bar should be included. Mine was.
Out of curiosity how often did they check wristbands/key cards? Going to a weeding in October, don't want to stay on resort because of cost...
I never had mine checked, but I was wearing the band the whole time, so it was always. visible.

You need them only for the teppanyaki restaurant, as it is the most popular.
