@@gustavoelninogamer3309Satan is way less "evil" than people give him credit for. The thing is - Lucifer was the closest angel to God himself, the most beautiful one. But pride got the best of him - he started to think that he is better than God himself, and for that he was overthrown. To be fair, if you follow the Bible, the worst sin you can commit is to abandon God. And that's why Satan is considered to be the worst - he was the first to betray God. But it never mentioned that Satan would be lustful, gluttonuos, greedy or anything of the sort. He doesn't go around murdering people or sexually abusing someone or torturing innocent souls. That's on humanity, we do such things. What Satan and his legion of demons (who were also angels at some point, mind you, who decided to follow Lucifer instead) are doing is trying to corrupt the souls of humans to lead them away from God. So I think even Satan would be despised by looking at what humans are capable of

No one may believe me but in the mid 2000s, when I was very young, I and my sister played a small portion of the original Sad Satan. I had carried memories of this game long before the internet had picked up its existence as a somewhat mainstream "deepweb" game and also long before I even really knew of UA-cam as a platform. (My father refused to upgrade our internet even well after the era of Dialup so even loading videos was a feat of patience at the time and most of my gaming experiences were reduced to extremely obscure and early internet catalogues of downloadable free games.) It was not uncommon for my sister and I to scroll websites like addicting games and sit for a few hours around the family computer playing while I usually watched. We had somehow, as sometimes we did, found ourselves clicking multiple links offsite into a game which I only vaguely remembered as being titled something Satan related. (Normally this single memory would be written off as false remembering or an outright lie but as a child growing up in a fairly strict religious household, anything to do with demonic imagery was exceedingly taboo and by proxy, extremely memorable.) At this time I thank the circumstances in which I was raised because It meant that I was able to hold onto the memory of this game far better than most due to the fact that we mutually knew we should not be anywhere near a game like this and if caught would be banned immediately from our parents seeing the name alone. I remember an environment of extremely basic rectangles of black and white (as the entire game would be colored as such) and the horribly disorienting sloppy scribbled style. It was a walking simulator with nothing but exploration as its main gameplay. The sound design was nearly silent as I recall with static often appearing onscreen and auditorily and even now as I describe it I can feel the uneasiness the game oozed as a child. The game remains one of the memories I never fully understood. I was too young to even know what was unsettling about it but when I stumbled across its name and the story surrounding it with the gameplay footage, it was like a switch flipped in my brain the moment I saw it and I was shot back to that game. It was surreal seeing something I knew was real debated and recreated by hundreds who were carrying it like little more than a ghost story. The original game contained no illicit child imagery as I recall, but the most unsettling thing about it was despite not thinking about this experience for years, I believe my memory serves true, and that by simply exploring the web, any child could click the wrong link at the wrong time to witness something that many in the future would see as illegal and one of the most twisted underground games to be made. I'm thankful I had played the original and not the subsequent version riddled with child imagery and viruses from a troll wanting to add "shock value"

But Sad Satan was made in the Terror Engine, and it didn't exist before the 2010s. Unless this version you're saying was made in another engine idk.
If I remember correctly and aren't confusing this with a similar game, Sad Satan was just an urban legend akin to The Grifter or Dafu Love, a fake piece of deepweb media that was said to have fucked up shit in it but never really existed until people started making their own versions of it. The original/first recreation just being a very primitive (but still low-key effective) walking simulator with none of the more fucked up aspects to it. Going off that this was most likely a couple of weirdos attempt at marketing a recreation that failed pretty spectacularly in the end, especially since some bastard (related to the project or not) actually threw in the fucked up shit at some point.
yeah thats what i always thought there was never a true "real" version of Sad Satan just a bunch of peoples interpretations on it some being more messed up then others.
Iirc there was a deep analysis into it’s background (it’s probably one of MamaMax’s deleted videos) where they found Obscure Horror Corner’s other YT account where they posted weird cryptic shit.
More digging showed that a guy was arrested and his same name appearing in the files of the game that was sent to Obscure Horror Corner

Huh. This actually reminds me, someone a while ago remade this game for vrchat. It was renamed "Sad Amelia" it was fully playable. Had all the textures and filters and was a decent horror map for the platform. Sadly it is gone now, since the guy behind it didn't like that vrchat went with a new updated sdk and decided to take all of his maps away from vrc. I don't know if he moved them to chillout vr or not but a lot of good horror maps were lost. If you try finding anything from the maker now you just see a world where he set up a tribute to himself

I discovered the game in early 2023 and even if it was censored, it gave me some REALLY scared nights and thoughts and ended up having to tell my parents about it. This game changed my WHOLE ENTIRE life, for the worst.

This game has always creeped me out. Not really because of what it is, but what it represents. The game is very much against PDF-files, but it still contained a lot of CP images flashing on the screen, just to prove a point? Yeah, that's like murdering someone and saying "see how horrible murder is!" So it's missing the mark.
As for that text file that kept appearing on the desktop with random characters: That sounds like a base64 encoded image. And considering what the other images were in the game, you probably wouldn't want to decode it and see what's on it...

2023... and people are still dealing with this game. It's all said and done. For me it's 10% art, 10% disgust and 80% garbage. In its original version it's a waste of time with the risk of long trauma from the superimposed images. Had the "pleasure" of playing the original in 2016. Don't look for it....
