Wonderful recipe. They have such a unique colour, almost like saffron rolls but more red. The texture is melty-soft straight out of the oven and even when warmed up after they've cooled. But they're still substantial which I really like. Definitely a keeper, thanks for the fun!

You are giving me some confidence that I could do this . I will give this a shot for my Christmas dinner gathering . I haven't tried it before, so I am not 100% sure of this, but it could be possible. The dough should be at room temperature right before baking, so I would freeze before it starts rising, seal the pan tightly with plastic wrap, move it to the fridge to thaw it overnight, and let it rise fully at room temperature. It's important that the dough is fully risen before baking to create the fluffy texture but not too much since eventually it'll collapse with too much fermentation. Hope that helps!.
Welcome! I won't recommend using cake flour for this since the protein is too low for the bread. I will test it with all purpose flour in the future and see if it works!

these look beyond delicious. would the recipe work with Murasaki as well? what percentage protein did you use?
It should work but the flavor will be a bit different. I've used bread flour with 10 and 12% protein level, they both worked good!

Hi aya, I've seen some recipes using potato🥔..is it the same outcome with sweet potato🍠in term of taste, texture & longevity?
I don't know about other recipes but I think you can alternate it with regular potato. I haven't tested it but the taste should changes slightly!
