"Eventually you'll get older" pshh totally unrealistic scenario Ivan, I bet next your going to tell me I'm not indestructible.
I'm 22 years old, so Im basically superman
He's never met Grey Death Adder who once won a body building competition just by taking off his pants. Now that's real strength.
@@victoryordnance336 😂😂😂😂
Anything is destructible
@@victoryordnance336 well played...
Agreed that in general out of the box the Glock will perform satisfactorily. The tactical slide racker is a worthy upgrade. When under stress, fine motor skills decrease. If you have to do a slight de manipulation under stress, it's a big help.
I really thought it was a joke till I tried it. I'm sold on it now.
I've tried all but baseplates and love them. Good useable video. Thanks!
Right on Mike, I think the base plates are one of my favorites, clean and functional.
Thanks for the video. I'll be giving several of these a try.
Cool Chris, let me know how they treat you.
Thanks Ivan. This VDO is really helpful for me. I have a Gen 3 Glock 34, and I find the stock Mag Release to be hard to engage and sharp edged. The slide is also hard to rack. Think I'm going to pick up all six of these upgrades. Did not know about them before...and all six appear to be very solid, useful and functional upgrades.
Right on man, let me know how they work for you.
great info, thank you for sharing
Thank you!
That racking wing comes from factory in some HK guns, like the vp9sk, it's important to have in case your other hand is incapacitated for some reason and you can only use one hand, so you can rack and load it on something like your belt
Sights work great as well.
Great video, very informative!
Thanks buddy!
Great Video, and I've installed most of that Kit on my Glock20SF Gen3.......🤝🏾🇺🇸💪🏾
Awesome video 👍!
Great video!
I need to get one of these.
Some solid stuff at an affordable price. :)
Thanks for the video Ivan
Right on man, thank you for watching.
I put rubber texture talon grips on my all black glock 43x I love it
Nice... now all I have to do is purchase my first Glock! I've got the 45MOS on my someday list!!
Hahaha. :)
I like the Glock 45 MOS 9x19mm too. 🇦🇹. I owned 4+ Glocks. I added a few after market parts to them. I'd suggest steel 3 dot night sights, a Glockstore.com take down, slide lock. A excellent part for any carry Glock. I add orange Glock mag base pads for training, ranges 👀. The DD Glock Glockstore.com connector is nice but not mandatory. Overwatch Precision TAC triggers are ✅. I might add one to my new Glock 33 .357sig.
One great video. Utilitarian upgrades that won't break the bank. And as usual, kick A55 music. Thanks!
Right on, thanks Ed!
I have a Glock 19 thank you for doing a review on aftermarket parts.
Right on, let me know how those do if you try any.
I like the slide assist, punch, and the base plates.
The Base Plates are a automatic upgrade on most of my pistols. :)
Good vid bro, ty
Thanks for watching Chris!
Appreciate the info. Building my first g19, I see some improvements.
Glad to share it. :)
Good review!
Thanks Keith.
Extended slide stop, Extended take down tabs, Grip texture or sleeve, and night sights, That's all the mods I need the internals will always remain stock.
The only upgrade my Glocks need are Sights. That $140 will get you just about any type of aftermarket sights available. Good aftermarket sights will usually have a flat face on the rear sight so you can charge off your belt, your shoe, or a a number of other raised surfaces. So that takes care of your slimy handed racking issues. That’s just my opinion, and it’s free.
Huh, I never realized that a flat face trigger will give you feedback. I always thought it was a purely aesthetic/ergonomic preference. I always learn something new from your videos!
Also, I had the subtitles on and "Glock" came up as "block"... which pretty much speaks for itself.
Glock is synonymous with Block. :)
Love those base plates
Definitely one of my favorites.
Love my Gen 5 19 MOS. Work horse reliable couldn’t be happier.
They did way better on the 5 than the 4.
I prefer the new Glock 45 MOS 9mm but maybe in 6mo 12mo Glock 🇦🇹 will bring out more gen 5 series guns. 22/23/27, 21/30, 29/20/40.
@@DavidLLambertmobile maybe a 30 sf 💪
Im not going to jump to any conclusions until Gray Death Adder weighs in.
Safe bet...
I wished you did a close up of the other parts before featuring them.
Funny... I was just looking at the slide stop/release, but I have a high firm grip & tend to ride the slide release/stop.
Try the one by Kagworks.
i love those mag base plates
Probably my favorites as well Jeff.
Great video also where did you get those gloves from nice
Thinking of buying a LE trade in Glock on friday - good timing on the video!
Nice!
Cant go wrong with em
I'm against 🚔 Glocks. I got a trade in, factory service Glock 21, gen 4 pistol in 2014. The gun slide stop started to fail after 500rd. I added a Tango Down Slide Stop part. It fixed the problem.
@@DavidLLambertmobile Mine has issue with brass ejecting at my face. I have parts coming to fix it though. But research quickly showed this is a known issue. Oh well it was cheap!
Hopefully in .40, they're fun to shoot.
Great vid!
Any recommendations for sights for gen5 g19? I really like the drop/bucket style on the stock sights but wish that I could see them in the dark. Also, sorry for the noob question but would you advise adding flashlight or laser for EDC?
Trijicon makes some good ones. Lights and lasers have their place, with training.
My opinion:
Sights - mandatory
Improved grip texture - mandatory
Vickers TD slide stop stops the slide at a more forward position than OEM. I don't like that. Test for yourself by taping the slide and frame together. Cut the tape between slide and frame to allow cycling. Replace slide stop and you will notice if the two pieces of tape match.
Yep, sights are a gimme. Factory ones are place holders.
Best of luck to Larry!
If you over ride your slide lock i recommend kagwerks extended i just bent them a little bit so they dont scratch up the frame as much.
I've seen them but haven't used them. Heard good things about them though.
@@KitBadger want me to send you one? i got an extra gen 5
@@savage5764 no, thank you though. I need to get caught up on other videos.
Night sights and a polished connector. That is all.
Crazy thing is right after you talk about the slide racker extension you go into the trigger and I had to rewind it a couple times to see it bunch you say something like" next up we have the carry trigger " and my stupid Alexa hears " Alexa what is a character?"
No experience with Tango Down but I like Vickers Tactical. Realistic upgrades that actually work, unlike Glock Store "range toy" products and they won't mess up your reliability like Lone Wolf products.
Tango Down manufactures the Vickers Tactical Parts.
@@KitBadger oic, usually order from 3rd party sellers. Good to know though, thanks for the info!
Do you have any beta on a mag floorplate that fills in the half moon cutout? I have meathook hands and my sausage fingers get pinched in the cutout when shooting it. Ive heard they are a thing but cant find any available.
No, sorry Jeremy. I'd look at maybe sanding it smooth, rounding everything off and seeing if that helps.
Great introduction music!
Thanks!
Agree!
Ivan/anyone recommend any decent mag extensions for the Glock 26? Just curious what you guys run in terms of mag extensions for the G26, if you guys carry the gun.
Not sure on that one. Tango Down may have some, or theirs might just be for the 43.
Great Vid Ivan!! You Rock!!
Thanks buddy!
Great upgrades, just seen your video. How many rounds do you have in the gen5 19??
I don’t recall, sorry man.
What gloves are those you’re wearing?
Where did you get your gloves?
Slide Racker: Vickers Tango Down Tactial Racker from Brownell's, although Milspin's is now on Amazon (it's a lot wider). For those who scoff: I don't think John Browning designed the 1911 or High Power to be carried unchambered; Jeff Cooper is right that cocked 'n' locked in a holster was the way to go. In other words semi-autos were originally - for 50 years? View as a military tool, which revolvers for mere mortal civilians. Hence the vestigial cocking serrations on 1911's and High Powers. All the subsequent efforts to make cocking serrations usable under any degree of stress, wetness, or oil seepage just can't match the HK VP9 mini-wings for effectiveness.
For appendix carry, NOTHING beats empty chamber carry (too many easy steps to an AD even if we have a thumb safety, Murphy's Law). And nothing beats racking wings for chambering if necessary.
Its so easy to pull it back
Are your shooting glasses prescription and if so what brand are you using?
Yes: kitbadger.com/director-tactical-rx/
Those are bear country g20 upgrades ...colored base plate for dangerous games loaded mags?
On a Gen 4 or earlier G20, upgrade to a steel guide rod & spring. SLR Rifleworks makes some 10mm + capacity baseplates, if you can't get away with using aftermarket +0 G21/45ACP plates.
I've never thought about colored base plates for some backcountry loads, but that would be good.
For a glock 19 3rd gen tho they said gen 5 is a cop gun or sum lik3 tht
Hey Ivan what jacket are you wearing?
Prometheus Design Werx, link in the video description.
Drop the link to your gloves plz.
Still in the description... :)
Beautiful background but please, we need well lit closeups!!!
Factory I always felt was too smooth
Zev tech pro compact magwell. Or there pro plus magwell for the gen 5👍
I haven't tried those, do they work with base plates?
Kit Badger yes! I've had no problem with Taran Tactical, Zev, Strike industries & Arredondo base plates. & the magwell work's with the back straps.
I'd go with the pro compact 👌👍
@@joelbeckley2107 right on, good to know.
Is that an OEM extended mag release or an after market?
Vickers Tactical
Really only must upgrade would be night sights.
Secondary upgrades would be extended take down because the stock ones feel very short. Enhanced slide stop is only used for locking gun back for me. I rarely use it to release slide during a reload.
Some people put extra textures in places but I use talon grip tape to put where my thumb rests.
Sights are always a must.
Let’s not forget to practice shot placement. No ‘tacticool’ parts will save your ass if you can’t hit your target.
Thank you for not saying this expensive trigger or super expensive things that are not worth it. I am not a super fan of glocks but I have a 19 that is bone stock and I can shoot it as good as my other higher quality guns. I think I’m going change my sights and carry it now though. I can shoot the daylights out of it.
Sights are a must have.
What gloves are you running?
SKD Tactical.
WTF was with that reload at 6:12? Why do you tip the mag well to the right and take so long to release the mag? I want the mag out ASAP before I grab the new one so if I have an ejection issue I can use my other hand to rip out the mag.
Was it too slow? Are you triggered? I have no idea, haha.
@@KitBadger No, lol. Just asking to see if there was a tactical reason. When the slide locks back on mine I tip the gun back to make sure it's locked back because the mag is empty and not because of a stovepipe or other jam. Just trying to ask if you were doing something like that.
@@TheGunguy461 nah, probably me just turning the gun some to reach the mag release.
@@KitBadger I see. The way you do it you have a mag in your left hand before the mag in the gun ejects. This could be problematic if you have a double feed or another issue where the mag fails to eject. Just something I noticed, great content BTW!
@@TheGunguy461 I always bring the new magazine up, trying to clear and then go for the magazine is wasted movement.
How are those gloves stacking up to the first spear contacts?
They do pretty good. They are a consumable at the end of the day though. Eventually they all wear out.
@@KitBadger thank you for replying, I've been thinking about what you said about the middle finger of the OCGs, I wasnt sure how these ones were reinforced, and if they were good for outdoor bushcraft type work.
@@codymarkley8372 not necessarily. They are all pretty light for that kind of work.
@@KitBadger thank you kit, I appreciate your content, and quality of your videos very much.
If I had a Glock, I would add the recycling codes.
That would be awesome.
The what????
efi rizaki plastics are marked with a “code” that determines if they are recyclable. I think the codes would be a funny joke about the Glock’s polymer construction
You see, plastic is the most durable material for a gun, why? Cause it doesn't rust and doesn't rot like wood, in humidity, damp and dirty conditions that guns will usually see deployment
Pretty much every military moved from wood furniture to some type of polymer, like the AKs from hard wood, then laminate wood, then Bakelite, now plastic like the Magpul one
Good idea.
What gloves are those?
SKD, linked in the description.
7:57 ... RUN
First video of yours that I watch. But the impression I get is that you’re really cold or really stoned.
Why does it have to be either or? Isn’t the world divisive enough right now?
They're great, all you have to do is change a bunch of stuff about them lol
The only thing you "have" to change is the sights. :)
#oldmanstrength lmao!!! 😆
I love this album, and I love this song, but sometimes Tim just makes me shake my head. Don't get me wrong-he's one of my favorite song writers, but he needs to go back to school on this one, man. So many 'spheres' would have worked. Atmosphere, stratosphere, hell even ionosphere. Hemisphere, on the other hand....
I love ya Tim. Always have, always will.
At least it sounds cool😎
Fuckin, what, mate?
What is the title of that song?
@@IgazBor Go on rise up by Rancid from the Troublemaker album🤘🏼
I would really like to own a select fire Glock 18,but im not much for becoming a class 3 FFL holder ,or much interested in possible prison time, revoking of my firearm rights ,and labeled a terrorist because I did not. I'm also not that invested in "full auto" theres just something about a Glock capable of auto that's pretty appealing to me. My actual interest is in optics/bolt action rifles.
A type 3 ffl is for collectors of curios and relics so that wouldn't cover nfa items or full auto anyway.
I think I saw a Sasquatch in the woods behind you.
Probably...
The only mod you need for a glock is called a fun switch
A fed time switch you mean ?
Wait... how much does a licensed glock roughly cost in US ??
I bought my glock 22 gen 4 used for little over 300. Mine was a police trade in with 3 mags and night sights. Price included transfer and shipping.
Damn I thought I got a good price on my G22 Police trade in I paid 400 not including transfer fee and bullets
Just get a VP9 and be done with it lol
No.
Vp9 is nice but its not very reliable
I love my glock, but now adays i will buy a gun that needs less to be more, lately im loving cz
Upgrades? Ammo, mags, good holster and a gun belt. Money left over? Range time.
Sure.
How can you could say the upgrades won't make you a better shooter? The idea is to upgrade the pistol, but the real question is are you willing to become a better shooter? Don't firget the tacticool factor.
#moist
Extended slide stop is something glock needs to make standard from the factory. The factory slide stop is terrible. The Tango Down slide stop is not much better than factory.
I clicked this video to see if the wish auto sears were in here
You mean you don't advocate "Uber-Douche" pistols that cost more than an entry level motorcycle?
I put together a custom g19 frame with custom slide, barrel and stock internals for $800. Its not glittery or flashy, but i ended up with extra parts for another Glock. "Glock Perfection", lol.
@@cafenightster4548 I've done similar twice now. There was a lot of sarcasm and snark in that comment.
My glock only needs bullets
You know, you could buy a factory h&k vp9 and have a gun with all of the aftermarket parts you put on your glock for less money in the long run. Glock is a reliable gun but so is a Taurus g3. The only difference is the taurus comes with a double action trigger, better grip, better sights and its half the price. I've owned three different glocks and can confidently say, I was ripped off all 3 times. Dont waste your money people.
You tell ‘em Robert!
I dont care for flat face triggers Ivan. Probably due to old dog new tricks I guess.
It is definitely a person thing.
another comment for Al Gores Rythm
the best upgrade is 100 dollars worth of ammo and 20 hours of training
That’s not a pistol upgrade, that’s a you upgrade.
The easiest glock upgrade is a p320 haha
LOL...I was about to suggest the M2.0 swap 😆
I put the Glock and the P320 side by side when I was going to purchase my first carry gun and the Glock just appeared slimmer. It was part of what persuaded me to pick the Glock. Of course time has passed and I'm interested in getting another pistol. P320 is definitely on the list because I did feel very accurate with it.
I'll get the RMA from Sig ready for you, dear Customer.
Glock upgrade for -100 ...Buy a Walther
Whatever works for you. :)
If Glock is perfection, why upgrade? 🤔
NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
C A - upgrades are not necessary. Perfection is subjective. The design is ready for combat right out of the box.
Up grades hmmm people buy cars change the color buy tires and wheels tint windows change engine all kinds of modifications for there preference as with trucks boats most anything you get or buy nowadays there are personal and functional up grades you can make nature of the beast not everything is perfect when designed for a fit all that work perfect for every one some one might have small large medium size or extremely large hands or deformed hands or something like that that’s why most anything made you buy stock or get the way it was originally make can be up graded
@@dsbiddle well, except for the rear sight thats easily bumped out of place.
@@cjames9320 - I had to drive my Glock polymer rear sight out with a hammer and wooden dowel. It was plenty secure. If you’re going to frame houses using the polymer sights as a hammer, then yes, Glock is a poor choice. And when I drove out the sight, it didn’t break or crack. It was perfectly intact and functional.
Laughs in Frankensteined aftermarket Glock parts. My "Glock Perfection" is only oem internals.
How are those “perfection” sights? :)
All those upgrades, or buy a better firearm. Your Glock with all the upgrades, your Block costs ? Don’t be this guy.
Best mod is a trash can, get a 1911
Two. World. Wars.
Best mod for your glock would be a stainless elite sig 229. This would be slightly more than 140🤑
Stainless.. bling bling 😂
7 views +48 thumbs up (plus mine) = UA-cam math.
The only thing to change is the sights of your choice, and that isn’t needed.
Anyone that puts paint in the letters, puts punisher plates and grip plugs is a child.
Who cares what it looks like, it’s a tool.
Changing any of these other parts is just inviting a malfunction.
Take your fashion advice from mr gq here.
Vickers is just making money of you idiots that buy This crap.
Save your money and buy ammunition and seek training if you have not had any.
Dry practice will make you better prepared than this guy’s advice.
You probably meant to say "off you idiots", but I get where you are going...
Only one upgrade for a Glock.....Springfield XD.
1 upgrade to do to your glock. SELL IT and buy a real gun lol.
You tell them Jose!
@@KitBadger lmao good video man!
What brand are those gloves?
SKD Pig Delta. I bought a couple pairs based on Ivan's recommendation and I love them. They are comfortable, pretty good for pistol manipulation, and provide a good enough grip for rope climbing.
Yep, the Deltas. Link in the video description.
Thanks guys
