Apologies for all the wind noise, poor quality filming and terrible editing! And all the incorrect information... Watch at your own risk of boredom and possible loss of sanity.
A Slightly Shambolic Shuffle Around the 2021 Buntingford Classic Car Show: Part Two of Two - • A Slightly Shambolic S...
The Slightly Shambolic Shuffles are back! This time, we are at the 2021 Buntingford Classic Car Show, held in the centre of Buntingford in Hertfordshire, which sees cars invade the centre of the small historic market town for a day in September.
Be prepared for lots of American classics, general ignorance about them, lots of cars from the MG Rover era, an Austin A40 Farina, a trio of TVRs, many AC Cobra replicas and very little of any importance at all. Nothing untoward, then!
As an independent vehicle consultant, I take potential buyers through the whole car buying process from choosing a make and model to a vehicle handover and road tax. In addition to information on this service, I also have a selection of written and video reviews of cars that I have owned, hired, borrowed or have somehow come into my possession. Please use the Contact Me page on my website to get in touch, visit my Facebook page for latest updates and share this video if you like it! Thank you for watching.

Superb event, thank you for the experience, and I was honoured to be your guest and arrive in your 45 with a group of very cool MG enthusiasts.
We certainly did form quite a crowd with the four MG ZS and Rover 45 V6 models, didn't we? It was quite a day, thank you for joining in!
For me the star of the show was that super rare Ford Cortina 2.3S - wow that was nice! But in its own way it is just as good to see humdrum workaday vehicles as the old Mk1 Ford Transit getting some love and attention at long last - I spent more time behind the wheel of those things than I care to remember.
The Cortina was sublime, sir, but that Mark I Transit is also exceptionally rare, and would never normally make it to a show.
Nooo way a kawasaki kh passes ha my all time classic bike . Lots of lovely cars there too ,big respect to owners keeping them alive and like new condition, great video thank You again.
Glad someone can actually identify the motorcycles in the video! More to come tomorrow, I think. Yes, some superb cars at the show today!
Another great presentation!
The green Chevrolet was a 1960 Impala, and the Thunderbird was a 1955-57. 1958 onwards became two door four seat coupes until 1967.
An amazing amount of both American and British classics! Excellent!
Thank you, sir! I knew that someone would be able to inform me about the American cars given that my knowledge of them is absolutely dreadful.
@@lloydvehicleconsulting You are being too hard on yourself Joseph! I wouldn't say you are dreadful, far from it, you are not familiar with US vehicles. Many of the British vehicles you are familiar with, to which some I am not, your knowledge is quite remarkable, and I applaud that!
I certainly do not want to criticise but to educate, as you educate me with your knowledge of vehicles I'm unfamiliar with.
I enjoy immensely your reviews, "Shambolic Shuffle", the time and effort you put into posting all this information, thank you very much!
@@frothe42 , thank you ever so much indeed, sir! You are very kind.
@@lloydvehicleconsulting You're most welcome!
Fantastic group of cars , I think that dial under the dash on the Thunderbird may be the electric bench seat adjustment toggle it was an extra if I remember correctly 🤔👍
Thank you, Carl! I thought someone would know about it. Hope you enjoyed the second part as well.
Correct Carl. That was my tbird. It’s a very rare option and was also the first memory seat used on any production car....
@@pinnaclerestoration6773 Thanks for confirming 🙏... its a beautiful car for sure 👌👍
@@pinnaclerestoration6773 , thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting!
AHH....that is why there were so many old cars about over that way yesterday. Went out on the motorbike and saw loads of interesting cars around
Yes, lots and lots of cars there, too many for one part, I uploaded the second part this afternoon! Hope you enjoyed the video.
Very good sir. That Renault 5 Monaco was quite the spot. Can't remember when I last saw one of those
Indeed, sir! I can't remember either, but especially as it has a beige leather interior, I quite want one....
Most enjoyable, nice of you to spend a bit of time with the Americans. Those 'Super' Anglias were the height of luxury- a go-faster stripe, a cigarette lighter and you didn't have to crash first gear LOL
The Anglia Super didn't have a Kent engine any more, I think it had a 2.0 Zetec... We do like synchromesh on first gear, sir, it does help very much!
Wow a MK4 2.3S Cortina, what a find. The MK4 had poor rust protection (versus the MK5) and apparently why so few remain. I never seen one except in a Ford brochure...
Yes, an extremely rare car. Only two now survive, apparently. You are right about that rust... One of Mr Coleman's favourite cars, as you might imagine!
How could you pick favourites at that show, all the cars and motorcycles are beautiful, great work sir. I do seem to be drawn to that Renault 5 beautiful car, would make a very nice everyday classic sir.
The Renault 5 Monaco is a sublime car, sir... It has a beige leather interior, so it must be. I hope that you enjoyed the second video as well!
Barely over the shock of seing that Nova when the R6 Monaco cane into view.
I still have the 1989 brochure but have never seen one in the metal. 😍😍😍
Well sir, the Renault 5 Monaco is the one that we want, especially as it had a beige leather interior!
@@lloydvehicleconsulting And the 1721 engine, PAS and remote central locking and a under parcel shelf garment case. Such indulgence for a 1980s small hatchback.
@@markonmotoring , absolute sheer decadence, sir!
Brilliant! The Cortina 2.3 S was my favourite - or maybe the very late Rover P6.
I think a lot of people liked that Cortina, sir! Mr Coleman was one of them.
The dial on the 57 tbird is electric dial a matic memory seats. That was my 57 tbird! This was new for ‘57 and the first car in the world to have memory seats.....
Fantastic, I can't believe that a car had electric memory seats in 1957. Astonishing!
The Cortina Mk4 S was a rare sight and arguably the best looking Mk4, but the 2.3 V6 was very exclusive, I think that I may have seen one in my lifetime.
Oh Sir, Renault Super Cinq MONACO. 👍
We do like a bit of Monaco specification Renault 5s, don't we? Especially with beige leather interiors. Mr Coleman very much appreciated the Cortina, as you can imagine.
Great selection of cars on display, looking forward to part 2 of the shuffle.
We aim to please, sir! Part Two is coming up tomorrow....
That is the first Wolsley 1300 have seen since my mum's. 😍❤ them!
I think we may be seeing some more of them later on this month too!
@@lloydvehicleconsulting oooh goody. This subscriber does like a Wolsley!😊👍👍
@@allanfoster6965 , we do like Wolseleys and Rileys on this channel too...
@@lloydvehicleconsulting oh yes with twin SU carbs please😊
@@allanfoster6965 , we will see, sir....
I'm at 9:09 and I cannot imagine it gets better than this :-).
It wasn't bad, was it, sir?
I'm pretty sure the Kawasaki was the 750cc H2C three cylinder 2-stroke - known as the "widow maker!"
Thank you, sir! I knew someone would be much better informed about motorcycles than me.
Well I'd like to see this done on Ealing Broadway or Chiswick high road...........maybe not! I never knew the P6 went on to S reg, that means there was a 2 year overlap with the SD1! wow!!
The New Avengers started production in April 1976, and in the first episode they had to keep the then yet to be released Rover 3500 under wraps between filming locations. P6 production finished in March 1977, so it was about a year or so of overlap. This S plate car, just like the last P6 made, was a late registration.
@@lloydvehicleconsulting there was a very early sd1 on a P plate for sale on car and classic a couple of years ago though
@@trabali5168 , yes, the car from The New Avengers (also used in early episodes of The Professionals) was also on a P plate, so that makes perfect sense!
That Rover P6 TC has a circular badge in the middle of the boot lid. I wonder if he previously had a spare wheel bracket in top?
Yes, many P6s did have the spare wheel mounted on top of the boot, so that would make perfect sense.
Sorry a can not watch this am a purist old cars should be as they left the factory see you next time 😲
I think that you should skip the first section of the video then, sir! My car appears a bit later on and that is nice and standard....
@@lloydvehicleconsulting cheers some nice cars there at first I thought you had gone rogue on us normal service is resumed 👍👌
I got all the American stuff out of the way first so that I didn't have to return later.
