I changed one on 2016 Maxima , for $60 from Amazon .. didn’t have to unbolt the seat . Took 5 minutes
Good job friend, that is very good. I like people getting creative and finding short cut.
I did this without having to unbolt the seat.
Great video!
Thank you, friend.
What are you using to remove the bolts? I put a 16mm on an impact driver and it’s stripping.
Oh boy, stripping head of the bolt is not good. If stripped bolt you will need to find a socket that remove stripped bolt. You can find it at any parts store in USA. I used metric socket but can’t remember what size.
It only stripped a tiny bit before I stopped. When I looked at the ones behind the seat, they didn’t look like regular bolts. That’s when I found out that these are allen bolts. I got the correct socket and they’re off now.😅
Thanks!
I got the same issue, this video was very helpful. Now could pls tell me where to order that switch?
Allen wrench drill bit. I don’t remember the size.
@@sukhjitsingh2504 You can get the switch from the dealer or maybe parts store. For this vehicle, I got the switch from the dealer.
Can I do this on older models? I have a 2008.
I don’t know to be honest with you. Hard to tell without seeing your vehicle. If your vehicle is the same in the video, you be able to do it.
How did you diagnose that it was the switch that was the problem?
This one was, goes forward but not backward.
Nice job.
Can I do this without taking the 4 bolts out
no. it’s only 4 bolts dude
I just did on a 2012, which appears to be built the same way. I pulled the side trim on the seat out at the top without removing any screws, popped the old switch out and the new one in, and pushed it back into place. Five minutes and looks like new.
Perfect video. Seat is stuck in front so it’s going to be a struggle lol
You can do it friend.👍
What was the point in unbolting the seat? Totally unnecessary.
If you want to struggle a$$ sh!!t then don’t remove the bolts. Do what as you see fit. I’m here to help people. If you don’t appreciate go somewhere else.
@@autorepairprocedures Ass shit🤣...Clever coming from a guy who can barely speak English. That's probably the first two words that you learned in English. There is no struggle in removing the switch from the side of the seat. If you're here to help people then do just that. No need to make them do extra unnecessary steps.
