I hope there will be also a apple-login.
That would be really convenient, but don't forget, if your phone gets stolen then it can possiblly get all stolen too. I've heard of too many people losing their iPhone and their entire iOS life.
Probably going to get a lot of push back from the community. I personally am mixed on this.
I love the innovation and tech. I'm concerned about enabling masses of uneducated people
into a community governance space. Convenience is great for the individual (at least short term)
but typically doesn't work out well for the community (especially in the long term). I believe self custody
is important. I get that it's not for everyone and I'm not exclusionary but this does raise some concerns.
I highly doubt someone that doesn’t save their keys would then take the next step to voting in governance and miss align values with greed.
I get what you’re saying but I don’t think the uneducated will move to governance. It’s a bit of a step.
@LearnCardano I would agree with things like Catalyst proposals, but staking is still lending concensus power. The masses have already shown they will trade personal freedoms and privacy for cheap or "free" stuff. I don't think they would draw the line at decentralization.
To boost adoption, Meld introduced an option to create a wallet with your Google credentials but the Cardano community was so hostile at that time. Along with your Google credentials, you also had the classic option to create a wallet with a Seed phrase .The Cardano community forced Meld to abandon their Google solution. Let's see how the community will tolerate this again.
Unfortunately most people in Cardano don't trust MELD. They're not really building anything on the blockchain itself.
Times have change and I think Meld did a good job of putting it into people's minds. There are now multiple solutions that do the same thing. So we should see more and more and be more accepting of it over time.

Just like many of the web3 wallets such as VESPR and tokeopay do, they create your account and wallet and let you trade, even if you haven’t saved your seed phrase yet. You need to take the next step b
