As a professional hedge cutter I take my hat of to you. Great engineering project. As someone else noted unfortunately you hit it to hard at the end. But hey it’s your hedge and definitely saved you a lot of work or money. Keep up the good ideas 💪

@@edwinmodu3178 oh you are full of 💩. For starters yew is one of the only conifers that does recover. Second I did say his hedge so if he’s happy not a big deal. And for your information I cut more hedges in the last two months than most professional gardeners or tree surgeons cut in a lifetime. I run Stihl hs87T 40” and normally have two in van at a time. One for cutting one for a back up. I cut approx 40 to 50 gardens with hedges a day. I have twi labours clearing up behind me and we lift approx one ton of leaf a day. We do approx 800 gardens then we will repeat this doing same hedges another twice before December. This is a small part of my business and only one contract!!! So yes think I can call my self a professional!!! Please feel free to put your money where your mouth is and come out cutting for a day and we will see who the real full is!! Arm chair gangster that you are would love to see your credentials. So many sad people who can’t watch a video and just leave a positive response with out banging your chest and quite frankly making a full of your self because you just got schooled 👍

If they are conifers they will never green up again if you dont leave at least three inches of green on them.

Just use the hedge trimmer normally they put handles on them for a reason…..your feet save badly cutting your hedge and wasting a lot of time building this and then you still have to manually cut the top anyway and move all the branches out the way so your device can move forward. I also run my own gardening company and this idea to me is crazy.

Don't be jealous, Samuel. It took him a while to build his machine, but he can use it whenever he wants to trim his hedge. And physics is on his side: he needs less strength to lift his hedge trimmer, and he's not limited by the size of his arms to cut high. It's very ingenious, too bad you'd rather envy the idea than be inspired by it.
