I'm just imagining a betrayal route where you cause the core to start melting and you have to get out of there before it explodes but a bunch of monsters are trying to stop you
that's similar to what I was thinking when I made this I thought that if Mettaton could re-arrange the CORE in the pacifist and neutral routes, he might be able to make it self-destruct in a genocide route, as a last attempt to kill the player
@@selene5948 That's really cool, and it fits Mettatons character cause im p sure he would have doubts about doing that, he would lose a good portion of his fanbase, but he wouldn't even be able to have a fanbase if the player killed them all
@@jonbomb1480 like as your trying to leave all the core monsters are trying to hold you back and mettaton is the final boss and you have a time limit to get out. The will sacrifice themselfs if it means saving the rest of monster kind
to be honest, this should've been in the original game because the ice wolf dude that chucks ice into the core actually evacuates from snowdin so the core overheating actually could be possible
I could imagine if the core melts down it would cause a XK Class end of the world scenario, where the fabric of space and time get slowly ripped apart as everyone gets thrown into the void, and the world slowly melts down and collapses from the inside. Now that I'm thinking about it the core is way more of a threat than anything else in the entire series.
@@B_4035mn you are right, it'd literally be the end of an entire timeline/AU, cause as we see in Gaster's case, you cant come back from the void. and so, in a sense, it's the ERASE button but alot bigger... and it wont just reset the timeline or send you to another world. in short, it crashes the game and deletes all save data along with assets and files. Everything would be gone in that case.
I imagine you fleeing from the core during a genocide run, where every few seconds a monster fight begins, you one-shot the monster, rush forward a little more, and then it repeats until you make it out of the core.
