I got one of those as well. No cab on mine. Bought her for $1k knowing that there was probably a bent rod. 3 actual mechanics went and tried to get it running. All failed. Me and my junkyard mechanic skills got her fired up in 30 minutes. 30 minutes after that I sent that rod straight through the side of the block and caught her on fire. It’s gonna get fixed and it’ll be freaking sweet. Half the hydraulics will then need rebuilt. They work but leak everywhere. Then I need to buy or build a bucket and forks. Then get the bushings bored out and it’ll be good as new.
My dad had one of these machines. Pretty sure the drive lines take grease on these too. These machines are simple and just run. Have to appreciate that compared to the new stuff.
yea i had greased the entire driveline but unfortunately the footage for that was messed up. these machines are great just not to spend more than a hour or two at a time in them!
You could and maybe should pop a turbo on that one [Salvage yard turbo to start with] :-)) LED lights would make a big difference. Wouldn't take much to pop some Air conditioning in it for the hot months as well. Cool rig!
Hey, A turbo would dramatically improve that machine, the B models were turbo charged but this was a straight 544 model. however.... I sold this machine to buy something else. Video coming soon if I can ever get time to finish it!
Cool machine!
It sure is!

Sweet machine! No emissions!
thanks its a simple old machine just my style!
For a yard machine or extra unit it would be fine
Oh yea it is a great spare unit. Definitely not a front line machine but perfect for a yard machine!
