    You pay more for the shipping from China than the cost of the unit. That's the downside for a $2,500 excavator, but there isn't much other choice for a cheap unit.

    • @AbramsExcavating
      @AbramsExcavating 2 години тому

      Yea honestly your best bet if you can swing it is to buy a full container and split the shipping/sell off the extra units. I’ve been approached multiple times by these manufacturers for this

      Nah I sold The machine over a year ago. Honestly it was built to the price point. If you expect a $25,000 machine you will be disappointed. But if you expect a brand new $5-7,000 machine you’ll be happy. It’s cheaply built. The steel Quality is cheap and the controls are a little jerky. But it’s better than a shovel and a rake and if you are mechanically inclined enough to keep an eye on things and repair/maintain it as you use it it’ll work well. It’s not something I would take out on a job site to make a living. But if i needed something around my property and had no other equipment it would be a good Choice

    Can you rearrange the labels on the remote? Because it might be smarter to arrange the buttons in order of function. Eg, top left = table in, middle left = clamp down, bottom left = table out, top right = saw down, middle right = clamp up. Then you only need to press the buttons in order from top left down, top right down. You could also use that spare button to do two functions at once, or connect a latching relay to turn on work lights etc. Also a tip, when you've cut piece, table out an inch first, then clamp down, then finish table out. This will give you a little gap so the wood falls into the splitter section nicely.

    • @AbramsExcavating
      @AbramsExcavating 3 місяці тому

      Yes you can change the labels on the remote. They sent a huge sheet of different labels. The way I’ve got it set right now flows pretty well. The only thing I mess up once in awhile is the direction of the table. Thanks for the tip! I usually try to inch it back a touch. But at the same time I’m trying to get as long as possible pieces cut since I’m feeding an out door wood boiler. If I was splitting for an indoor stove I would make some sort of guide to keep pieces consistent and that would give me the kerf gap to make the pieces drop out easier. Thanks for watching!
