    "If you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life."
    It's apparent that you love what you do and the pride in workmanship shows through. Definitely looking forward to more videos.
    My wedding present to my wife in 1978 was a 67 GTA fastback. 390, 63B interior, full power, just a really nice car. The engine had been overheated (cracked heads, radiator shot), it had been repainted (poorly) and the interior was well worn, but it was a rust free California car and I knew it was a keeper.
    I'll be retiring in a few months and it ranks high on my list of projects to begin.
    I'll be watching closely for tips to help me along.

    I get it, in a classic you’d want to keep as much original as possible but I saw your video when you found that in the woods. No choice! Better to replace and put back on the road than let it keep rotting in the woods. Love watching you bring these back to life. If you’d ever consider a bump side Ford truck let me know. I’ve been hanging on to my grandpa’s 70 highboy for over 20 years. It too far gone for me but can’t bring myself to let it go. I’ve always wanted to restore it or restomod it. Probably childs play for you 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Good advice for the person looking to buy and restore an old Mustang, They are ALWAYS worse than they look and with mine once I peeled back the layers I ended up replacing the entire rear including frame rails. I know it seems daunting but I agree that if you buy something that is obviously in trouble you will know exactly what needs replacing and will save a lot of money on the purchase.

    Coming up to 50 and x panelbeater in Australia when we fixed a rust or panel damage 30 year ago on or muscle cars all you had was 2nd hand parts to deal with. If we had repop panels I would have used them and now we do for eg monaros, chargers, gt falcons thats the go. But there will always be another opinion. No one's wrong just how people feel. I live about 2 hours west from your area. I have seen some fastback mustangs that were in southern Huntingdon County. I thought you would be able to repair and turn them around. I figured you had enough work lined up. Maybe the next one I see I'll pass it along with an email. As you know, some people want too much money for their rust buckets. The rear spring hanger extenders really date that car. Alot of mustangs and cameos had those to give it that "stance" back when I was just getting into cars.

It make the vehicle looks more even imo.

    @houseofno Рік тому +1

    I am somewhat amused at this people you say get angry at you for removing so much metal. You look like you know what you're doing. I doubt any serious vehicle judge really has time to tear apart the interior of a car to see how much metal was "replaced' rather than rust. These people obviously don't realize that, despite their shortsighted preference for original steel, the original sheetmetal had extremely poor corrosion resistance and wasn't very strong to begin with. The reproduction sheetmetal, even if they don't always get the contours right, are made using much better corrosion resistance and manufacturing proceses. I'd bet my neck on repro sheetmetal over the iron oxide holding the car together anyway. You might as well be asking Bondo or plastic sheeting to protect you from bullets. Not a reliable material to bet your neck on.
