I don't have a favorite...love them both! I love making rope baskets, but you can only keep so many. Giving them away as a lovely gift is a wonderful idea!
These are so pretty, and so unusual! The open spots toward the top make them so unique and special. You make it look so easy, but your experience shows. Love your idea for the garden basket and the items you found to fill it!! Your friends are well-blessed to get those - made with love and skills - priceless!! ♥
Hi Mimi, I love your bowls. I love the way you give instructions and your calming voice. I am excited to try the dyeing and making creative bowls. i will be watching for more of you creativity. Thank you and have a blessed day. Carla
Hi Mimi - both bowls are just gorgeous! I love them both. After watching your video I now want to try some bowls like yours. Thank you for doing these helpful videos. Hope you have a blessed day! JUDY
Oh So Cute!! LOVE! Ty! About how wide did you make the base before you started building the sides? It seems a perfect size for plants! Great gift idea…now I am off to the dollar store today hoping to find some similar items!
I’ve never tried tempera paint so I am not exactly sure what the results would be. I would sample a small piece of rope and see how it does. I may give that a try! I think I have some in my paint stash. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you! I always end up giving most of my bowls away. It’s better to give than receive!😊
I am speechless. I am so thankful for you and sharing your talent. Thank you so much
Wow, thank you! You have really brightened my day!

I think it was a 5” base. I really need to start writing these measurements down! Enjoy!😊
You a amazing, your bowls are outstanding. Can you recommend what size and where to buy the bowls for dying the rope
I use cheap stainless steel bowls that I picked up from Walmart. The paint washes right out and doesn’t stain the bowls. Thank you!😊
I love your basket. Where did you find the plastic garden bowl?
Thank you! Found them at Dollar Tree in the party aisle.
Hey Mimi! Just wondering if you could tell me me how to make a totebag or purse from this?
What a fabulous idea! Let me get to work on that! Thank you!😊
Do you have to use acrylic paint or can you use tempera paint as well? Are there disadvantages to using tempera paint? Thanks.

If I decide to try it, I'll let you know how it goes.
