Our church ladies ministry used to buy the laundry baskets at Dollar Tree (when everything was still $1) and fill them up with food to give out for Thanksgiving. We included everything needed for a dinner. Turkey , not in the basket, a carton of eggs, rolls, canned sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, a pie, potatoes, chicken broth... Our needy families were so happy to receive not only the food but a bonus basket.
Giving in the name of Jesus brings such gratitude and blessing. It's all about those smiles of gratitude one receives. This is what encourages one to do this kind of thing. "As every man purposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly or out of compulsion; for God loveth the cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:7) "Giving with a cheerful heart." says the Lord. Never expecting anything in return. It truly brings imnwdiate gratification and blessing when you see the huge smiles of gratitude from ppl who truly are appreciative. For me, and for many this is where our true reward comes from.
We do a charity drive every year for the kids and families in our village and we use large boxes that I wrap with gift wrap to turn them into large hamper/baskets to fill up. It really is such a cost saver and a great way to recycle. I love the idea of using the cloth, I might try that. Makes it look a bit more high end. Thanks again for your great tips and tricks, I really look forward to these !!
Woman, when do you sleep?!? Between the great DIYs, the gifts and your long link lists I’m amazed! And grateful! I wanna craft with Patti! Lol You deserve the most Merry Christmas and Happy New Year ever! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- Kristin
For gift boxes….children/grandchildren…I save all boxes starting around mid August. Instant oatmeal, cereal, chocolate…any clean boxes. Wrap in pretty paper, sometimes add ribbon. Great, as they have no idea what’s in them. I add bells or pine cones, popsicles sticks, anything that makes a noise when they’re wrapped. Great money saver!
I certainly loved all these ideas! Thank you. Here is what I do to take the stamping the gift wrap one step farther. I use alphabet stamps and stamp their name in the same fashion. In favorite colors if I know. Stamp in some occasion specific stamps- happy birthday, merry Christmas or whatever it needs. It has been an absolute hit! I use white or kraft paper on a roll.
Patti you just amaze me every time! You are so creative and do a beautiful job with everything you make😊 Thank you for sharing your amazingly creative inspiration us!
Love your merry Christmas stamp, what a beautiful font!!! Your ideas are brilliant!! I have been making gift baskets for years. I repurpose aluminum cans 29oz size and cover the outside with Christmas pattern card stock. These are so versatile for cookies or candies, Carmel corn, toiletries, just about anything. I wrap In cellophane with bow. I also repurpose glass jars for gift baskets. For Christmas this year I did Italian themed baskets. Used metal buckets. Canned marinara sauce and including as part of the gift. I just found your channel and thrilled you have so many great ideas. Thank you
Patti, of course you think of our 4 legged family members! I love these! Busy, busy, busy... I want to be you when I grow up! Thank you for showing us how to do these. They're all wonderful! Pattie
Hi from the uk your ideas are so lovely thank you .I use oven gloves I fill them with wooden spoons and perhaps tea towels or an apron and cookie dough.but I go to boot fares and I buy inexpensive glittery wallpaper maybe a pound a roll I get so much more wrapping for my money and every one loved it x
Absolutely BRILLIANT!!!!...such beautiful thoughtful gifts. I'd love to recieve any of these beautiful gifts. I'm very lucky and have learnt this sort of gift making from my mother. Who was a Florist. She had businesses all my life. As kids mum showed us how to make things like this from a young age. Mum had 3 daughters . So we all did gifts like this for mums shop for Christmas and other times in the year. Even Dad could do wiring and taping and gift making. We often went collecting nature pieces with mum .. like bark for bark pictures, dried pods and gum nuts and flowers. As kids us girls loved treasure hunting in nature. There were many times where we laughed so much from mishaps while gathering things for crafts. I suppose we were lucky to grow up amoung the Florist and Gift Shop trade. It really was a wonderful time in my life. We drove to many places to collect natural treasures for craft. I've done this all my life for my own family.
Thank you so much. That is wonderful that you had a mom to show you how to make things. My grandmother taught me alot about crafting. Looking in nature for craft items is a great idea. I may have to go on a treasure hunt soon myself. Thank you so much for sharing your story with me.
Patti I love all of your videos! Your designs look easy and classy! I like that you get right to the project and don’t waste time with a bunch of jibber-jabber. You also give great instructions and tips too. Thank you for sharing your amazing talents! Merry Christmas!🎄
I made my own popouri using peels from oranges adding cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. I let the orange peels dry and then added it to my mix. It smelled wonderful. I gave it to my staff as part of the 12 days of Christmas gifts.
Patti, thank you so much for the soap and lotion bar recipes. I have never made anything like this but you have inspired me to start. Perfect gift with a personal touch. Merry Christmas🎄
You always think of everything and make everything look so elegant! I’ve used a lot of your wrapping techniques and snow globe gift card ideas! Love you and your channel! ❤❤
Such great ideas! I make a family gift basket when we head over to the in laws as all the kids are grown now. I love the idea of using those beauty sets broken into smaller gifts to add to my basket this year. I will add those mulling spice packets too. THANK YOU!
My husband and son tease me for saving all kinds of macaroni boxes or cracker boxes etc! 😆 They are wonderful for recycling gift boxes. Love all your ideas! My phone is filled with all kinds of snapshots of crafts and gift boxes that I want to put together. Thank you for the great tips.
I collect baskets and mugs from thrift stores to use a vessels for holiday gifts. I gift my custom jellies and other homemade food items. People come back asking to buy more from me.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Patti. I really love them all. Even recycled can be gorgeous 😍. I recycle whenever I can. Our family gets excited every year to see what I've made. I made ornaments out of canning lids I saved and painted snowmen, Santa's, and gingerbread people. I covered the backs with festive fabrics and trimmed with leftover ribbons and beads.
I use a ton of Amazon shipping boxes to make all kinds of gift containers, including A newborn changing table box w/ diapers, shampoo, lotion, powder, etc. Then wrap shrinkwrap bag & ribbon bow
Hi Patti! Your video popped into my feed. So grateful! What fun and useful gifts with adorable packaging. So many ideas. I’ve made my own wrapping paper using Christmas and initial stamps. Really fun and personalized. I’ve repurposed Kleenex cube boxes, cereal boxes, baskets, and trays then wrapped with card stock, tissue paper, or material to personalize. Glad I found your channel. 🩷🩷
Just recently I began keeping some cartons and other packaging. I added more cardboard to a box using hot glue then used packing paper and mod podge to glue on. A rope handle on each side and I now have a sturdy box to keep my jars and bottles in. I love that you use the fabric napkins and many things that can be used after unwrapping. When I was young I made wrapping paper from some paper a printing place had discarded. Using carrots and potatoes I carved hearts and stars, etc. pouring some paint on a damp sponge to make a stamp pad. It was fun and I had about forty huge sheets of wrapping paper. Oddly I only used one or two and sold the rest but honestly it was such great fun to make something with discarded paper.
Oh my goodness what adorable and creative gifting ideas! There are genius! I have made my own gift wrap with some stamps and it turned out so pretty! I love everything you did but the box covered with the napkin and decorated is my favorite and clear tote bags next!😊
I've made my share of homemade gifts but none as beautiful and creative as yours. I wish I was getting the one with baklava. I love it. Thank you for sharing 💜☃️🦌👼🎄🐧🎅🤶
I love your ideas. Please consider showing us what we’re going to make before you start making. We don’t know what the final item looks like until the end. Thanks!
Great ideas! Thank you for the inspiration. I've done the Mulling spices to a large clear plastic ornament & tied it to a bottle of red wine for a quick hostess gift. Merry Christmas🎄
What great ideas! Thank you so much for sharing. I am making the simmer pot recipe as we speak! I love that you speak slowly and directly and don't add any unnecessary music in the background that can overpower your voice... I've watched a lot of diy videos lol I think the thing that I love most about these ideas aside from them. Being very beginner friendly as well as budget-friendly, is the fact that they don't contribute to unnecessary clutter. Thank you again and Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I loved this video! You are awesome! Thank you for the wonderful ideas. I have a Christmas party coming up for my lady friends and these would be great gifts for them! Merry Christmas!
So many easy, budget friendly, and fun personalized gift ideas! I've steered clear of soap making. Had no idea there was a melt/pour option! Looks like everyone is getting soaps in their stockings this year! Thank you for sharing!
I just saw your video for the first time yesterday. So I watched this one today. You have really nice gifts, as well as the packaging you put them in. I like to give hand made gifts every year, whether it’s food or an item I crafted. In the past I haven’t done a lot to dress my packages, but you’ve really inspired me. This was a great video with lots of wonderful Ideas & inspiration! Thank you. 🎄
Patti, I just love those tins!! For the dry skin for both us & our pets. How clever are you!! I'd love to make those. I can find all in need down below, correct? Also, the shrink bags, are those a specific bag that's labeled as such? Or can any clear bag shrink with a heat gun? ( now that I asked that it sounds really dumb)😂 I once used a big popcorn bowl to wrap a gift in. My friend & hubby loved movies. So I took the bowl got them 2 gift cards to their local theater, 2 sodas, 2 🍿 popcorn, 2 🍬 candies. Took one of those big plastic bags & tied it with a ribbon & bow.📽 They were so very pleased.😊 As I would be to receive any of your great ideas!! Thanks so much!!❤🌻❤
Wonderful ideas, Patti! I ❤ that I know I can “Like” and “Save” your videos for future reference before I even watch them because I already know I’m going to love whatever you do. 😊
Beautiful ideas. Tks for sharing. I do use a hair dryer with the shrink wrap bags. It takes a bit longer but will work. Silly me never thought of using the heat gun 🤦♀️ Bet your behind I will from now on!!!
All lovely and fun gift ideas! I was especially pleased to see how you eye- measured your ribbons, cut them with no waste! It drives me nuts to see ppl decorate a gift or diy decor only to cut several inches off the bow after tying it on.😅
I'd ad a little snowman or a tiny deer in front of the tree. The jar would be neat filled with candy or a candle too. Cute idea. Felt glued onto the bottom circle would be a nice finishing touch. Thanks for sharing. Always love your videos.
I loved all your ideas especially the Balm for the dog paws and nose. I bought some balm from amazon last year and it was almost 20.00 dollars. I will make my own from now on abd will give them to friends with dogs too. Thank you. I love watching you and am always curious what you come up with next.❤😊
love all your ideas. makes all look more special to the main gife. You wouldn't believe how it makes a difference. Extra special to teacher's postal carriers etc.

Love this ❤️ I miss being a part of a church group!!
We did the same thing including cleaning supplies. We gave them to students attending our local elementary schools.

What great ideas! Thank you so much for sharing. I am making the simmer pot recipe as we speak! I love that you speak slowly and directly and don't add any unnecessary music in the background that can overpower your voice... I've watched a lot of diy videos lol
I think the thing that I love most about these ideas aside from them. Being very beginner friendly as well as budget-friendly, is the fact that they don't contribute to unnecessary clutter. Thank you again and Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Thank you so much for the nice comment. I really appreciate it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.

Thank you Barbara. This is the glue gun I use amzn.to/4ahf70s It's the Surebonder Mini high heat gun. It works great. Merry Christmas.
This was a great video with lots of wonderful
Ideas & inspiration! Thank you. 🎄
Oh thank you!
I think on the canister I would have put the lid flat under the canister. Great ideas.
Patti, I just love those tins!! For the dry skin for both us & our pets. How clever are you!! I'd love to make those. I can find all in need down below, correct? Also, the shrink bags, are those a specific bag that's labeled as such? Or can any clear bag shrink with a heat gun? ( now that I asked that it sounds really dumb)😂
I once used a big popcorn bowl to wrap a gift in. My friend & hubby loved movies. So I took the bowl got them 2 gift cards to their local theater, 2 sodas, 2 🍿 popcorn, 2 🍬 candies. Took one of those big plastic bags & tied it with a ribbon & bow.📽
They were so very pleased.😊 As I would be to receive any of your great ideas!! Thanks so much!!❤🌻❤
Patti, I'm sorry to bother you but I can't find 2 links. One for the 2" round silicone mold & one for the scale please. Thank you!!!
You can use any shrink bag, it's not specific. I am making a popcorn bowl this year. They are a great hit. Thanks, Patti
2” round molds - like mine - amzn.to/3Rhk54J. This is the scale I have, but you can find them a lot cheaper amzn.to/3t01t12.
@@PattiJGood Thank you so much!!

I use a blow dryer to shrink wrap my gifts, and it works perfectly.
That's great to know, thanks.
Great ideas! Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Lovely gift ideas thank you. I have always used my hairdryer on the hottest setting to shrink the shrink-wrap bags and it works every time.
Thank you. I have a cheap blowdryer and I could not get it hot enough. LOL. I may need a new one.
Beautiful ideas. Tks for sharing.
I do use a hair dryer with the shrink wrap bags. It takes a bit longer but will work. Silly me never thought of using the heat gun 🤦♀️ Bet your behind I will from now on!!!
Thank you. I could never get my blow dryer to work on these bags. I may not have a very powerful one.
Thank you, UA-cam for bringing me here! Wonderful ideas ❤😊
Thank You Melissa😊
All lovely and fun gift ideas! I was especially pleased to see how you eye- measured your ribbons, cut them with no waste! It drives me nuts to see ppl decorate a gift or diy decor only to cut several inches off the bow after tying it on.😅
Thank you so much. I try not to waste, but sometimes it happens LOL
Always love the gift “baskets!” TY Patti!
Thank you Joyce. I will have more this year. I love doing them.
I'd ad a little snowman or a tiny deer in front of the tree. The jar would be neat filled with candy or a candle too. Cute idea. Felt glued onto the bottom circle would be a nice finishing touch. Thanks for sharing. Always love your videos.
Thanks Linda. Those are all great tips, thanks for sharing.
My hair dryer works great on shrink, wrapping the bags the ones from the dollar tree anyway and it’s just alil old thing 😊
That's awesome, mine won't shrink the bags. It's an old one.
Oh I love the Christmas tree potpourri
That first jar could be used for so many things. How cute. 😊
I think so too! Thank you 😊
I love all your gift ideas I think they're amazing and I can't wait to try them myself
Thanks so much 😊
I have used a blow dryer to do the shrink wraps
That's awesome. I have never got that to work. Maybe you have a more powerful blow dryer. Thanks, Patti
I make gift tags out of those wood slices each year… this year I’m thinking of adding the scented oil just for an extra little Christmas smell…
That's awesome. Adding scents really last a long time on those.
I haven't made any but i woud like to try. It look like they smell sooo good. Love cinnamon
These are so good. Everyone loved them last year.
Cute ideas, thank you!
I really like the first one with the potpourri bowl. Second is the soap. I had no idea it could be so easy!
Thank you Kathy. The soap is fun to create with and it is easy.
I saw the ⛄️ cups at dollar tree 🌲 today. I’m going to do that first. Thanks🎄

Love them all, esp the soap and lotion bars. Gonna make those. Thx!!

I loved all your ideas especially the Balm for the dog paws and nose. I bought some balm from amazon last year and it was almost 20.00 dollars. I will make my own from now on abd will give them to friends with dogs too. Thank you. I love watching you and am always curious what you come up with next.❤😊
Thank you so much Heidi. You can make these for a fraction of the price.
Theae all are so creative beautiful!
