I love my disc ribs. Great recommendation! I use metal knitting needles of different sizes to clean and burnish joints. Michael Sherrill has gifted countless potters with his awesome tools! Thanks for this great video!
Great video, thanks for sharing! I got inspired to check some of these out. Yes, it can he challenging to stay motivated right now, so keep it coming. We need more videos like yours. :)
I just got a wheel from my siblings! I’m used to just sculpting small figures, but what kind of clay do you use for your wheel?? And what if you don’t have a kiln?
May I ask you who inspires you? What ceramics master do you see as genius? For me, I am very inspired by your work. I am very much draw to elegance and the (organic) aesthetics of your work.
Thanks for the fun questions! I am very much inspired by fantasy and elegance in nature. I'm immediately drawn to dark fantasy and elves, dragons, etc. As for a master potter that I look up to, I'm not one to attach myself to others in my profession like that, necessarily. I do have favorite potters, such as Lori Philips, Martha Grover, and Daedal Goods. I learned a lot from Hsin Chuen Lin in college, so I have to include him on there!
@@KaiCeramicsOfficial Hey Kai thank you for being so kind to answer. I am glad I asked because whow! I got to see so much more amazing art. Martha is not from this world! As if the ceramics she makes are alive. I saw the western fantasy element, so well done. I love the elegance. Thanks for showing your work to the world through youtube.
