I was waiting for this one since the very first time I saw the trailer, that scenery is alluring! It seems it has more stuff inside, now I'm stoked on the monster catching mechanic too! Thanks for giving this one a chance, so excited to try it!
With that intriguing title, that had to be a great video 😂 This looks amazing, and I luckily saw your video early enough to catch the discount ❤️ Thanks a lot for yet another great recommendation
I love it when an indie team take elements that have been perfected elsewhere, rejig them and add in other well crafted elements and make something totally new, yet familiar at the same time. Passion projects over AAA is where we need to be spending more time and money.
Wow, Beyond Galaxyland looks like a blast! It’s got that perfect mix of RPG and platformer vibes from your review, and I’m loving the galaxy theme lately. The gameplay looks fun and fluid, and I can already tell you can lose hours exploring those worlds! Definitely adding this one to my wishlist. 🚀🤘
Added this to my wishlist the first time you all mentioned it. It's definitely even higher up on the list now. Can't wait to give this a try sometime !
I picked this up ready for my holiday next week, looks great and saw a video from the dev talking about it and his influences and that had me drawn in straight away.
Guys! My backlog! The art style is lovely, the story sounds so well written and love the camera mode! And, to quote Red Dwarf, it doesn’t take up more RAM than a field of sheep!
I love games with pixel art and Beyond Galaxyland of the most gorgeous games I've ever see. I'm also a big fan on Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, so your comment about the game's similarity has peaked my interest. Can't wait to play it!
This game caught my attention from the very first trailer! I love the art style and the incredibly ambitious premise. Glad to see it holds up well in reviews!
Been following this game for a few weeks now and am so excited to play it!! The open world exploration, the amazing visuals, and unique characters immediately put this at the top of my wishlist!! Even if I don't catch it on sale Im going to jump on this over the next couple days!
As someone who usually runs a mile from turn based combat I'm really surprised how good it is, bought this cos Glen likened it to Red Dwarf and he ain't wrong , Thanks guys
Man, this looks so good! Ive had my eye on it since its announcement and was worried it wasn't gonna pan out. Someday, Ill grab it! I love the colorful and unique look of the setting!
Oof. Another game which looks epic. Indie developers have grown so much. I really love indie games more than most aaa now. I respect all their work and passion 🙌 ❤
Hi mate, I just got 1000 gamer score on Brotato this week and noticed this game so I bought it straight away on the series X. It is amazing and for the quality I can’t believe the low asking price. I may just buy it again for my Switch OLED too. Just heed the warning near the beginning to use the save points though as there is no auto save just as it should be. Hitchhikers Guide and Red Dwarf was very popular here in Oz as well. Bloomtown also looks to be another killer ai die release too. Sort of like Stranger Things mixed with Xfiles and JRPG. Indies are just totally landing it lately where AAA have largely become irrelevant.
I might get it later....... Just bought Epic Mickey, which will be my first time playing the first of the series. I played the sequel, which is thankfully much the same, however i really want to play the original. So far the graphics have been greatly improved and i can see why Warren Specter enjoyed this project so much. I love seeing how one's choices actually are shown in the game this way. They really fixed the camera. Even the sequel had issues there, and they fixed it and they also fixed the interaction with the gremlin. The music has also been improved. I hope you do a review once the hype has died down or at your earliest convenience.
This looks great! What an awesome indie system the Switch has become. Often find myself playing more indies these days than the big AAAs! Shogun Showdown being a great recent example. Thanks for the review 👍🏻
I love that this seems to be a great game, indie devs have really been knocking it out of the park recently. The 2.5d, as you mentioned, does seem like a refreshing change for this genre.
Indies are where its at these days. Just a huge variety of options and way cheaper than Aaa games. But some ppl will complain about how bad mainstream gaming has become (which i disagree with, although there are problems) and not even attempt to branch out to the broader gaming market.
In the past I often overlooked indies in favor of big AAA titles. But the Switch and changing times got me trying smaller titles and I must say, the passion they bring is mostly unmatched. Also it’s much more common for Indy devs to actually listen to their fans/players. Thanks for another banger video Switchup!
I just held back from splurging on the eShop and you do this to me?! 😂 I really like how the game zooms in and out to increase the feeling of immersion, despite it being a 2D game.
I've had my eye on this game since I saw it in the direct. I really wanted it to be good, and you've confirmed for me that it very much is. Thanks, gents!
Big companies should take a good look. We don't always need huge budgets for amazing games. I rather have games like this and Bloomtown. Great video like always.
This looks epic got some space quest vibes with the sierra style graphics. Reminds me of booting up some floppy discs and trying to get Dos to run the games. Good times!
RPGs generally aren’t my thing, but there is something about the visual style of this game that makes me want to give it a go. A bit like “Beautiful Desolation“ did.
I absolutely love the looks of the game. I find this sort of art style much more appealing than any of the numerous photorealistic AAA offerings these days.
I bought this game as soon as it went live on the eshop and you know what else? As soon as a physical is ever announced, imma get that too! I can’t wait to play this!
Not gonna lie…between Beyond Galaxy Land and Bloomtown, I can’t decide which one to start first…especially considering I kinda-sorta impulse-bought both after watching your thorough reviews on both games. 😅 …Guess I’ll flip a coin, lol. In all seriousness though, as much I am still hyped to pick up and play the new Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom game later this week, these two particular indie games have made a great and positive impression on me as well, now that I’ve learned more about them. What a great time to be an indie gamer, to say the least!

My hat's off to Sam and all the team, this looks TASTY

Unique story and unique style…so rare for a jrpg nowadays! Thanks fellas!
Definitely, we’ve had some cracking indies these last few weeks! Mark
The Red Dwarf comment piqued my interest! The combat looks fun, especially the summoning moves.
With that intriguing title, that had to be a great video 😂 This looks amazing, and I luckily saw your video early enough to catch the discount ❤️ Thanks a lot for yet another great recommendation

This game looks fantastic. The world, the backgrounds. I really hope the story lives up to those gorgeous graphics. Thank you for the video!
This really looks special. I will definitely find time to slip this one into my backlog. Thanks, Mark and Glen.

The idea behind the story and the atmosphere of sci-fi and fantasy blend is right up my alley. I’ll be wanting to check it out.

nice vid! im currently playing octopath travler 2 and as an older gamer , im loving the pixel style of both that and this! thanks!
This looks awesome, and that one quote in the footage of "Star ward meets final fantasy" has me very intrigued

The art style is unbelievable!!
@@Fox_McCloudServer ikr
What I like the most is the fact that this is a setting and aesthetic you don’t often see in RPGs. Different, and stunning.
As an American and one of my favorite shows ever is Red Dwarf, every time y’all make that comparison it is an instant buy/wishlist
Between this and Bloomtown, this is one hell of a day for RPGs.
Definitely! Mark

dang, i'd love a copy of this game. the exploration, story, art style ... it all looks amazing. what a great universe.
I am intrigued by the settings, the side perspective (pretty unusual for an RPG), and the monster capture mechanics. Can’t wait to play it! 👾🎮🕹️
You had me at HHGttG and Red Dwarf! So glad this is a good game, my backlog however, not so much.
Yeah this is great. Mark

That intro of the game is almost exactly like hitchhikers and that’s a good thing as hitchhikers is a masterpiece
The visuals are gorgeous. Looks like all the best parts of 80s sci-fi
