They are internationally huge!! They have sold-out arenas worldwide. They were the first Japanese group/band to perform in Wembley Arena, London breaking the record for band merch sold. They sold-out the LA forum in 2019, they flew the arena stage from Japan for the show.
Su and Moa have been performing on stage since they were 6yo. As to your next reaction, I'll suggest 2: HeadBanger Legend of 1997, Su is 16 and Yui and Moa are 14. OR ljime, Dame, Zetti at the 2014 Sonisphere Metal Music Festival, their first performance outside of Asia. In 30 minutes they conquered an audience of 50,000, 95%+ who had no idea who they were. Su is 17 and Yui and Moa are 15. Have Fun!!!
There are 200+ Rock/Metal bands in Japan, it is a very deep Foxhole.

The bands you have talked about can thank Babymetal for their existence. Babymetal was formed in 2010 to ignite a spark to the metal scene that was stagnant at that time. They opened the door overseas for japanese female bands. Now you see the japanese metal scene is thriving thanks in part to Babymetal. Also they are a performance band. They have won many awards for their shows. They do so many genres of metal and no two songs sound alike. You cant go wrong with reacting to Babymetal.

Great first reaction! 🤘🦊🤘Thank you for giving BABYMETAL a chance. Here is a little bit of BABYMETAL info...In 2019, BABYMETAL became the first Asian artists to hit #1 on BILLBOARD's Top Rock Albums chart with their latest album, "Metal Galaxy" and in 2020 the album won the MTV Japan VMA 2020 award for BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR. BABYMETAL has been melting faces for almost TWELVE years. Su-metal, the lead singer, is currently 24 years old, while Moametal will be 23 on July 4th. Yuimetal use to be an official 3rd member, but she left due to health reasons a few years ago and now her 3rd spot is filled in by 2-3 rotating girls who only dance. Yes, the girls were very young when BABYMETAL was formed!
BABYMETAL have performed with, toured with, or opened for Metallica, Korn, Dragonforce, Guns N' Roses, Lady Gaga, Rob Halford of Judas Priest (there's a great youtube video of their performance with Rob at a metal award show), and Red Hot Chili Peppers (there is a youtube video of them performing Gimme Chocolate with RHCP, as well as with Korn, and DragonForce), to name a few of many. They have performed at large metal events/concerts in front of 65,000+ skeptical metalheads in Europe (Glastonbury, Download, Sonisphere, etc), US, and Asia. Plus the 20+ awards they have been given. They have 50+ songs and each one is different from the other, so I hope you give the other songs a try. By the way, they have some really great heavy songs too, and I hope you like guitar solos, as well as bass and drum solos, like I do, because they have them too.🤘🦊🤘

There is no singer who has both beauty and good singing like Su-Metal (the lead singer of Babymetal) 'in Japan' , I think .
She is 24years old now . She belongs to the biggest entertainment company in Japan and is a famous singer and talent from when a child .
When you have a hard time , you should listen 'no rain no rainbow' by BABYMETAL .

Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal Galaxy. 🦊🤘
I was a little bit worried when I saw that Glastonbury thumbnail but fortunately this wasn't the case, so for further reactions my recommendation is to avoid those performance from Glastonbury 2019 because of the bad sound quality and crowd interaction, and avoid live compilations whenever you can. We can provide you alternative ways to go through this journey without risking of being blocked.
BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute), mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms, they are:
    *SuMetal* lead vocalist.
    *MoaMetal* scream and dance.
*YuiMetal* scream and dance, former member since 2018.
The Kami Band is a set of elite musicians chosen to backing up the girls with the metal sound, this is relative to their lore so is all explained within this concept of hiding their true identities under a rol persona, either way fans came to figure it out their real name, they rotate so you're not always gonna find the same member on every concert, mostly the drummer and the bass player are the stable one. They started to wear masks after 2019 and before that they used to wear face painted and white burial robes, but before them they used to be backing up by air playing instruments band called "baby-bones" so whenever you see them around is because the backing track sound is from album studio and not live sound.
Budokan 2021 marks their 10 years anniversary celebration and seal the "Metal Resistance" chapter along with another seal for the group, fortunately that seal is gonna end sooner or later since they're releasing exclusive snippets of new songs on their digital gallery called "The Other One", a restoration project currently around 28% completed.
They fought against many enemies on this road and many more battles, but they manage to get through all of it, and this song is one of those strong weapons they had, to fight and conquer every metal heart that don't believe in them, if you don't know "Road Of Resistance" I highly recommend to check it out, live in Japan 2015 official MV (be careful with being blocked thou). Budokan is just a name for general martial arts arena, there are other Budokan throughout Japan but this one in Tokyo is the most important and is big, this is the place any artist wants to reach when you're over the top, and they did it already in 2014 when they were even younger (14 and 16 yo) and having many struggles so they needed a revenge to pull away those ghosts from the past. Sadly this 2021 live concerts is at half capacity due to covid restrictions and safety measures and crowd weren't allowed to mosh'sh, crowd surfing or shout without face mask, instead they can stomp their feet, clap their hands or doing a human wave, at least they can do something to participate in this epic and memorable date event.
Momoko Okazaki was the _avenger_ or third backup dancer filling the third spot in all these 10 live concerts, if you want to know the original trio you need to watch 2017 and previous live performances.
You got more than 50 songs and you won't find songs alike to another, they offer you a one of kind experience in terms of music and live show like no other band or group, in fact BabyMetal opened up the gates after 2010 for all the bands you mentioned, and many of them are quite grateful to them for that.
If you want safe to react live version instead of the official MV which can be a little bit annoying to dodge the blocked issues, you can watch some of this songs before 2015 and festivals, so you can see their roots and how they evolved to get to this point.
    - Karate live at Download Festival 2016, beautiful medley with SuMetal improvisation and crowd control.
    - Ijime Dame Zettai, live at Sonisphere Festival 2014, a huge turning point in their career.
    - Headbanger!! live at Legend 1997.
    - Rondo Of Nightmare with Mischiefs Of Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014, a SuMetal solo with a heavy and dark sound.
    - Catch Me If You Can live at Budokan 2014, you can find a safe version at GuilhermeCait channel.
You can find all these songs and more with watermarked logo safe to react at Babymetal Reactor Resource channel, check "Future Plans" vid and follow instructions to get all of them.
Feel free to ask anything you want so we can help you with the best BM experience you can have. See you next time🦊🤘

Good first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Galaxy. 'Karate' was the lead single for their second album. It is about fighting adversity, when life knocks you down and everything seems too hard so you're hurt and crying, its about standing up and fighting on, helping each other through the hard times. They used karate to illustrate this as it is a Japanese martial art and reflects their culture - as Moametal also said, it is all about moving forward which is also one of the main traits of BABYMETAL, many of their songs carry that message.
They did watch a lot of martial arts movies to get ideas for the choreo as they wanted it to look as authentic as possible (they are not martial artists - the experts may not be so impressed).
BABYMETAL are Su-metal (now 24) and Moametal (she will be 23 in just a few days) - the third original member, Yuimetal who also just turned 23, sadly left the band in October 2018 having been absent from the stage for the previous 12 months. She had ongoing (and undisclosed) health issues and had not fully recovered so was still unable to perform, so she announced she would be leaving the band and hoped to follow her own long held dreams.
From the start of the 2019 tour through 2021 Su and Moa, who had chosen to continue as a duo after Yui left, were supported by three dancers (the Avengers Kano, Riho and Momoko) who took turns to dance in the third spot (no vocals). The Avenger for all of the Budokan 2021 concerts was Momoko.
BABYMETAL started in 2010 as a sub-unit of a school themed J-Pop Idol group called Sakura Gakuin. As members of that group they would sing songs and dance, the sub-units would have their own themed songs (tennis, cooking, science etc). BABYMETAL were the heavy music club.
This was the pet project of just one man, their producer Kei Kobayashi or 'Kobametal', a lifelong metalhead, based entirely around the vocal talents of Suzuka Nakamoto or Su-metal the lead singer. He had seen her a year or two before singing with her previous J-Pop trio and was so impressed that he saw her potential to front a metal/pop fusion band. He had his chance to work with her when Sakura Gakuin was formed and he started the Heavy Music Club with Suzuka as lead vocals and, thinking he might also add another thing not usually seen in metal - choreographed dance, he added her two young friends (also very talented performers) Yui Mizuno and Moa Kikuchi supporting her as "scream and dance" - more accurately backing vocals and in charge of hyping the audience with their choreo and leading chants etc (autohmae's comment explains their role, which is so important in making BABYMETAL what they are and part of what makes them unique).
The heavy music club, unlike the more commercially viable sub-units, had to be self-funding (they even borrowed clothes to make their costumes for their first shows with the Idol group - the other sub-units had theirs paid for) as no agency in Japan in 2010 would have invested in metal as there was virtually no market for it at that time, but under the umbrella of the Idol group there was no risk to them if it didn't take off or just failed.
So they sang their songs and danced to a backing track with pre-recorded instrumentals and, against everybody's expectations, BABYMETAL started to gain their own small following.
In 2013 Su would be 15 and would graduate from the Idol group (having the school theme it was for girls aged 10 to 15), but it was decided that BABYMETAL should be her (also Yui's and Moa's) vehicle as they furthered their careers as vocalists and dancers and should separate from the Idol group to go with Su as an independent band in their own right.
In anticipation of the separation a little more budget was made available. They started to play their own solo shows starting off in warehouses and tiny venues with a capacity of 150-250 people and they played the food hall at a metal festival. The live band (the Kami Band - some of Japan's very best session musicians - all male) was also introduced and phased in gradually from October 2012 playing at a couple of festivals and the encores in a few shows. They became the full time backing band early in 2014.
Since then BABYMETAL have been kicking open the doors for Japanese bands (including those you mentioned) to international tours and recognition which they wouldn't have managed (or maybe wouldn't have even thought to try) had BABYMETAL not shown what was possible even when singing almost exclusively in Japanese.
If you see musicians in a video wearing skeleton suits they were not a real band and were miming the instruments to a backing track - they were called 'Babybones' and were there for show in the early days (no pretence was made otherwise, everybody knew what they were doing). The Kami Band are the ones in traditional white burial robes and white corpse face paint (more recently in black robes and since 2019 wearing masks - as they were in this video)
In December 2013 Su-metal turned 16 and at the show celebrating her birthday (Legend 1997) the final step was taken in the transformation of BABYMETAL from sub-unit of the Idol group to independent band and the Kami Band became their full time support in all live shows early in 2014. They have been with them ever since.
For the 2019 and 2020 US and European tours the Kami Band of the west (American musicians from Galactic Empire on guitars and bass, Anthony Barone once of Shadow of Intent on drums) were introduced.
BABYMETAL have gone on to become one of the very best live bands on the planet (and have won international awards to prove that is not just my opinion). Their big arena shows are spectacular, but they put on great shows every time, even in smaller venues and festivals as they tour the world where they can't always have all the special effects and flames etc too.
Their official videos (or most of them) do tend to get blocked, which is a shame as they are all worth seeing .... but don't worry, BABYMETAL are first and foremost a live performance act, live is where they are at their very best. It is also where you will hear them being supported by the Kami Band, their live support band and some of the absolute best session musicians to be found in Japan - they are not involved in the studio recordings (with just one known exception of one of the guitarists who we know has recorded guitar and bass on some songs).

Not a good video for a first reaction IMO. I would recommend 'Headbanger'live at Legend of 1997. ua-cam.com/video/YjjWZpf_jSs/v-deo.html
Babymetal was founded with 3 girls. Suzuka Nakamoto for lead vocals. Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno as 'scream and dance'. In Oct 2010. In 2018 Yui Mizuno left the group. The third girl in the video isn't a member and doesn't have a mic. The band are session musicians who had their debut in Dec 2012 and became a full time feature starting in 2014 with Babymetal's first world tour. Between Dec 2012 and 2014 shows were a mix of live and recorded music. They still use backing tracks and make no secret of it. To say they're lip syncing is unfair because in that video you can hear vocals on the backing track and nobody is pretending to sing :) There is no trickery.

Suggestions: one of my favorites from their first album is Ijime Dame Zettai, Yava! from their second and Kagerou from their third, so covering their career. Too bad there are some less interesting songs on all their three studio albums, so I'm not listening to them, but they have a very good compilation album 10 Babymetal Years and their 10 most popular songs on Spotify are all worth listening too.

And as a suggestion I recommend you always react to their live performances, not only because of the copyright but because they are much better live.

Babymetal is officially the three girls (now 2, the third girl in this video is a support dancer). That said, it's like Bruce Springsteen and the "E Street Band" or Elvis' "TCB Band" in that the backing band is a collection of musicians who have been there since basically 2013. The "Kami Band" is comprised of some of the best session musicans Japan has to offer. Each of them have various projects of their own, some involving them being in their own band outside of Babymetal, in other bands, and solo projects. There are basically three guitarist who rotate in and out. There used to be four but Mikio Fujiko passed away in 2018 from an accident. The bass player (Boh) is the most consistent of the Kamis as he performs at almost every concert. There are two drummers, with one of them being the "primary". All that said, in 2019, on the Western leg of their Metal Galaxy world tour, the "Eastern Kamis" were replaced by "Western Kamis". There were a lot of complications caused by the death of Mikio and one of the girls (Yui) leaving the group, which possibly caused P1-B visa issues. For the Japan shows that year, the Japanese Kami's continued to be the backing band. For the shows in the USA and the EU, it was the Western Kamis.

The composer of this song was a Japanese composer who used voice synthesizing software such as "Hatsune Miku" to publish a lot of heavy metal songs on Japanese video sites.
I remember reading a post on a Japanese social network that BABYMETAL spread by word of mouth when an American online gamer asked "what's that crazy song" to the song "doki doki morning" that Japanese online gamers were listening to while playing games. I remember reading on a Japanese social network that it spread by word of mouth.
Next to that, a song called "Gimichoco" became popular.
Well, up to this point, honestly speaking, it was like a crazy band playing a crazy song in Japan, and more and more people started to like it around "Megitsune" and then the song " BABYMETAL DEATH", and this I also had some rejection at first.
I also had rejection at first.
I thought it was crazy to make little kids sing metal songs and even more crazy to make them dance, and I thought they were making fun of metal songs, but a few months before they performed at Sonisphere, I became a fan (laughs). (Laughs.) Still, I don't think I would have understood the Japanese idol otaku.
I think it was the Guardian, but I don't remember if it was the Guardian or not. As far as I know, it became a topic of conversation among people in the UK, and the organizers decided to change the stage to a bigger one.
You can read more about this in the blog "眠る海亀 Sleeping Sea Turtles".
Especially among Japanese fans (mates) who found out that we were going to perform at Sonisphere, they were worried that we would definitely be in danger, that no one would come to see us, or that we would be attacked by plastic bottles, but the British people accepted BABYMETAL very favorably, which we I saw it on UA-cam and I am still thankful for it.
The following UA-cam video gives you a good idea of what it was like at the time, and is included for your reference.
BabyMetal Sonisphere 2014 Full Concert Fan Cam Compilation 4K(video remastered)
    ua-cam.com/video/pKp08z7bTkU/v-deo.html
BabyMetal has since performed at music festivals in the U.S., but each time, their fans in Japan were concerned.
The reason why they were so worried is that even at Japanese music festivals, Babymetal was disliked by people who said "You're just an idol" or "You're not a band.
At the time, I didn't hate them because I was there for the backing band, but people who came to music festivals only approved of bands that could create their own music.
If it weren't for the overseas fans, we would be there now. BABYMETAL would not be as memorable as they are. BABYMETAL would not have become a memorable presence.

They can fill a venue in Japan from the ages of 80 to 8 years old.
Commanding a very striking presence on stage. In a very dignified , traditional way for a performance. Dressed as to only show hands, face and wild flying hair. They use video to show their fans facial expressions. Every millisecond counts during the performance. Thanks for showcasing them. They help me smile.

I started following Japanese/Asian music back in Feb of 2014 when BABYMETAL released their first video (Give Me Chocolate) and I stumbled on it via a post on the now defunct Google+ forms that simply said "WOW!! You just have to see this!"
BABYMETAL started as a weird idea inspired by a Japanese IDOL music producer who loved metal and ran into Sue, the lead singer (she was maybe 11 Years old at the time) who was at a music school that basically was a school for Japanese Idols. He thought the mixture of Metal and Idol would be interesting and the school let he build this metal project with Sue and two other even younger girls (Moa and Yui.)
Now, before you get all 'that's weird & creepy' which is a common perception of people hearing about this for the first time, just be assured that it's really not. The School is really a good school where they take talented children and train them in music, dancing, and the general entertainment business, while giving them a real education (which comes first, the girls aren't even allowed to wear makeup other than in sometime in their performances if the 'project' calls for it (they have various sub groups that have various costume themes.)
Anyway, Babymetal was one of these sub groups that took off and the band stayed together after 'graduation' (like any school the girls eventually graduate, and that's usually where they go one to either join an idol group, start their own music career, or maybe move on to university and follow some other career.
Other people can give you the details of the band, but basically they way I think of them, and this is not meant to be in any way disrespectful to them as I think they are awesome, is that they are a 'metal theatrical' group that combines all forms of Metal with Idol and world popular music.
For metal alone, going to a BABYMETAL concert is like concentrating a whole summer's worth of driving around America and Europe going to the best metal festivals and sampling every form of metal there is ... and doing it in one concert. You're not going to find a more technically superb musicians than those that play for BABYMETAL ... the band consists of 2 guitarists, a bassist and a drummer, and while the members vary a lot more now, usually consisted of a rotation of maybe 4 guitarists, and 2 drummers ... and the girls are kickass, they started out when they were pre-teens and now in their early 20s they have more metal experience with the most diverse and professional metal musicians and bands than any 40 or 50 year old male metal head on the planet. Don't let anyone tell you these girls aren't 'metal', there isn't a major Metal performer on this planet that won't tell you they are more metal than 90% of their own fans.
On top of just performing the various well known genres of metal and mixing it with Japanese Idol, they have also gone on to mix metal with Thai rap, Bollywood music, electronic Trance/Dance, Rap, etc and on doing so have gone on to be even bigger.
Now, personally I'm not a huge Metal fan, so BABYMETAL is no longer on my everyday playlist, but if they put out new music I am on it right away, and I will always be there to defend them because they were the band that led me to the world of Japanese/Asian music and I'll never be able to repay them for that magical gift.
Anyway, all I'm saying is that if you listen to BABYMETAL be prepared for some awesome metal experiences, and don't think for a second that hearing one or two BABYMETAL songs gives you an insight into what their music is all about ... there's more than 10 years of incredible surprises in store for anyone that dive down the BABYMETA 'FOXhole'!!

Babymetal is now just 2 girls, Su-metal and Moametal as Yuimetal left in 2018 and her spot has been filled by an "Avenger"...backup dancer that has no mic and not an official member.
The Band (the Kami Band) is not officially part of Babymetal. They mostly only play the Live gigs and other session musicians do all the playing on the Album tracks. BUT almost ever Fan thinks of the Kami Band as part of Babymetal because what would a live show be without them??...Oh, and the Kami Band is all Male, though they did have a female violinist at one point.

One word; all caps. Stylized as BABYMETAL.
The live band are session musicians. They are called The Kami Band (sounds like commie band).
    The Kamis are men.
There is more to this, but this is basically what you're seeing. More will be revealed as you travel deeper down the Fox Hole.
The LORE is convoluted and difficult to follow. You have questions, we have answers to most things. But there are some things that
Only The Fox God Knows (OTFGK).
    The girls are:
    Lead singer Su-metal
Backup singer / hype dancer Moametal
Backup singer / hype dancer / former member Yuimetal (She's not in this video. It's complicated.)
Right now Su-metal and Moametal are officially the only members of BABYMETAL.
    Carry on.

Like a lot of BABYMETAL songs, this one has a positive message about facing life's challenges.
BABYMETAL performed at Nippon Budokan ten times in 2021, with concerts in January, February, March and April.
'Karate' was performed at all ten shows.
Those were the only BABYMETAL performances in 2021, and the most recent concerts.
Of course we're hoping they'll return to live concerts and touring sometime soon.
Original member Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) left the group for health reasons in October 2018, although it had been a year since she was on stage with BABYMETAL.
Supporting Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) and Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) at this show was Momoko Okazaki.
Momoko was the supporting dancer ("avenger") for the last 25 BABYMETAL appearances, including all 10 of the 2021 Budokan concerts.
BABYMETAL have had only one female Kami Band member so far.
During the 'May Revolution' in 2013, they had a violinist named MIZ.
All of their other touring musicians have been male.

Babymetal is a genre as well as a band, though they are more often called kawaii metal today, but 12 years ago it was band and genre. They really kicked the door in when they started touring the West in 2014, and got audiences accustumed to listening to music in a foreign language, and festivals willing to book east Asian bands. Now we have lots, but Babymetal were the trailblazers. I saw them at a sold out show in the LA Forum in 2019, and their last album hit 13 on the Billboard Hot 200 when it came out here in the US. They are the first Asian artist to hit #1 on the Billboard Rock chart. They're th real deal.
Watch another song, and it will be completely different. Check out BxMxC or Road of Resistence
As far as the masks go, Babymetal are pretty good friends with Corey Taylor of Slipknot. They pay a lot of respect to bands that influence them. The song Catch Me if You Can has a Slipknot rhythm to it.

To be honest it's not surprising that you have never really heard of any of them, mainly down to the whole Japanese thing only kicked off a few years ago. That charge was led by Babymetal, then followed by Lovebites and Band Maid.

Welcome to the Foxhole/Metal Galaxy. When picking a Babymetal song to react to you really can't go wrong. Though Karate is a popular song to react too. Though live is always better than they music video, i suggest you check out the music video. In my opinion it better tells the "story" of the song. Watching it live you get the impression it's just a fight. The music video shows it's about overcoming obstacles in life, even if the obstacle is oneself. if this video was shot in 2021 that means the lead singer Su was probabaly 23, the girl with the twin tails was probably 21/22, and the third girl was 18 or 19 i think. the band (The Kami Band) is a session band and not technically part of Babymetal, Babymetal as of today, is just the lead singer Su and the performer with the "twin tails" Moa. The third permormer is known as an "Avenger" and she just dances. She replaced the original third member of BM after she left the group due to health issues. The Group was formed in 2010 as a "club" in an Idol School called Sacura Gakuin. If you wish to continue your journey, I's like to suggest Road of resistance (Live in Japan) or Headbanger (Legend 1997, in honor of the lead singer's birth year) If you'd like to see the Band, there is a song called Rondo of Nightmare where each member has a brief solo before the song. Also some version of Catch Me If You Can have a Kami Band Intro. I'll stop here for now, I'm sure others will offer a lot more information than I can. I'm stuill relatively new to the foxhole/metal galaxy. 🦊🦊🦊

the band still is always the same its called the "kami band" and they are fatnastic and play with babymetal live .
btw the band is 1 main singer and 2 screamer/background and since 1 girl left the replacement not even does the screaming ....
on her 21 birthday one of the girls did sing a mainsong instead of the main singer and holy hell she is so good xD so jaeh they fantastic but they shoudl use the other girls more (especially the remaining of the 3 (moametal) who isnt the main singer (su metal))

    Welcome to the BabyMetal Galaxy.
My hope is that you enjoyed watching these young ladies and their world class backing band The Kami Band.
You will get many suggestions to react to song/performances and I am going to give you my direct and honest opinion.
React to them LIVE whenever possible. Only the most talented and professional bands can say this and their LIVE performances are next level, (some of the official MV’s are good - like Megitsune and Karate) but if you do react to an MV I would definitely react to the LIVE performance as well.
BabyMetal has over 50 LIVE song/performances….and every one is different. They are fearless, exploring new music genres and NAILING them. With that said I suggest the following LIVE performances for new reactors in no particular order:
    Headbanger LIVE
Road of Resistance Live in Japan
    Megitsune LIVE
Kagerou LIVE (with Kami Band intro)
Catch Me If You Can (with Kami Band intro)
Karate LIVE at 2016 Download Festival in the UK (60,000+ British metal heads sing along with the girls - safe from copyright block)
    BxMxC LIVE (kurokiitsunesama compilation)
These are just a few of many but they will give you a great understanding of who they are before exploring the rest of their music catalog. Compilations are great as they are rarely blocked (as long as you know what they are going in, so as to avoid confusion). I suggest that if you do react to a compilation you choose videos done by kurokiitsunesama. (Ferr also does a good job with BabyMetal compilations). Compilations are rarely copyright blocked and give you a good idea of the crowds/different venues and shows that no matter where or when BabyMetal performs they go full out every performance.
Avoid any LIVE performance from Glastonbury (the sound production by the BBC was incompetent)
Do not react to these until later:
All solos (including Rondo of Nightmare)
    Oh Majinai
    Tales of the Destinies
    BabyMetal Death
My opinions of course. Good luck and enjoy the ride.

This is a great write-up. Well done! The only thing I would add is that you should consider watching the Megitsune music video. Their live performances are always amazing and I have to agree that watching the live shows is well worth it -- but there was something about that particular music video, being the young ladies' first music video ever, that captured the magic of their first on-screen experience. The joy and excitement on their faces in that video is just magical and uplifting, in my opinion.

suggest that you use the links below
From the Babymetal Reactor Resource ua-cam.com/video/q40VmTHSh4c/v-deo.html
Going forward, if reactors want to keep reacting to the videos, I've come up with a solution that will make it possible to continue using the videos with logos that have already been tested against blocks.
    I've made a spreadsheet -
    docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZYdthVAHYaOAYL6AuhVOHotQinMoPPFEuspqDMIIGD4/edit#gid=0
with links to both the logo videos and the non-logo videos and are hosing them on a Russian social media site that won't remove them, and is out of the reach of the copyright trolls. There are a bit over 30 videos on there now, but I'll keep uploading more every day until they're all backup. I'll also be adding new videos that I'll test on an alt UA-cam account before adding to the spreadsheet.
If you can't access the spreadsheet for whatever reason, here are direct links to both the non-logo videos and the videos with logos:
    No logos - ok.ru/video/c6630874 With logos - ok.ru/video/c7184602
For reactors that want to put their own logo over the videos, here is a link to the logos I use that are already made transparent - drive.google.com/file/d/1JUVfJGp36xR2n1FHl7PzRIxXhA5P4VyW/viewor you can use whatever logo you'd like.
You can download the videos, which I recommend since the site can be a bit laggy sometimes, from this free website - sovid.net/ I recommend using the "HD" option when downloading to keep the file size reasonably small.
Although there are other videos on my channel there, only use the ones on the spreadsheet because some of the other non-logo videos aren't UA-cam safe.
    Kitsunes UP!

BabyMetal grew out of the Japanese "idol" culture, which is young singers performing - usually as groups, along with strong choreography. As the three singers were "aging out" of the "idol" world (15 is considered the oldest an "idol" may be), someone came up with the idea of "graduating" them to the rock world. In keeping with the "idol" ethos, their live performances include excellent vocals, tight and expressive choreography, all supporting a tendency to story-telling (this song particularly follows classical Japanese hero epics in an abbreviated form - almost like an anime :-) )
"BabyMetal" is properly the vocalists, the band is separate. Initially, the band were kept anonymous so that individuals could be interchanged with no disruption, but over time a solid group developed and became known as the "Kami Band".
Now that you've seen this and a few others, I'd recommend some earlier videos - the girls were in their mid-teens at the time, but the training and skills developed as idols really shows even in the early songs.
"Doki Doki Morning" is their first single and first video - it's actually a bit of a creepy video, with elements of MTV-era Peter Gabriel videos (Sledgehammer, Steam) - but mixed with both cutesy elements and rotating heads: the effect is slightly disorienting and macabre - but it works well, despite rather amateurish costuming for the band.
"Gimme Chocolate" is another early song / video that gets a lot of play - the girls' energy and stamina are on full display, and the band's costumes are much better.
Over time, both BabyMetal and the Kami Band have matured, and the already-excellent production values have really settled in to develop a strong identity musically - as a whole, they are a top-notch team of entertainers!

_"15 is considered the oldest an "idol" may be"_ just curious where does this come from ? Most idols are 15+, generally around 18/20 from what I can see, quite a lot around 25 as well and the oldest I know is 34, though I think she's an exception ahah
