Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Been trying to install Home Assistant on a VM on an old powerful server for weeks with no avail. Watch this video which is straight to the point and Yippee!!! It's running great with no problems installing. Thank you again!
I tried this like 5 times and it didn't work but on the 6th try, and after reading another article, I powered down instead of restarting and voila! 64-bit options showed up. Not sure if powering down and then starting up vs. restarting made the difference but wanted to share in case it does! Thank you!
Thanks for the comment. Restart did work for me. After I read you comment and power off and on my laptop and them 64 appeared. thanks for sharing info.
On some systems in BIOS, you select security and then select utilities you will then see VT-X you enable that and the next one down will be Intel Intel VT for Directed I/O (VT-d) you enable that also and you select save changes. And you are done.
Thanks dude this really worked for me my bios was a dell bios from a dell optiplex 780 so it was a bit confusing at first but found it in a virtualisation tab
This happened to me too, it seems like your computer might be too old to do virtualisation. But research around, maybe you will find a way to make it work
For those who are still not able to get 64bit running , try following on window 10. Open "Windows defender Security center" -> Device security -> Core isulation -> turn of -> restart computer
Hi Miguel I have not Hyper-V installed so I guess it should be the BIOS, right? So I will now restart and change it. Thanks for the short precise explanation.
I have an HP Spectre 360 laptop with Windows 10 64-bit OS-- had to press to get into the BIOS. Thank you, this worked brilliantly.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
