  • Tomi 106 - Dallas TX USA 1966. Classics Galore vol 9. This groups out of Bryan Adams High School (same as Kenny And The Kasuals!) only effort of plastic, but they evolved info WordD, (and later merged with the Penthouse 5) and cut the fantastic You're Gonna Make Me • WordD - You're Gonna M... . WordD also did a version of this as Keep On Walking. Hear the flip of this great record: • By Fives - That's How ...

    i saw you walking by the river late last night
    i heard you talking in the pale moonlight
    made me think all about you,
    and the things that are gone!
    how you hurt me, how you left me,
    and how you did it just for fun!
    so keep on walking (keep on walking)
    keep on crying by the river late at night! (keep on walking, keep on walking)
    i don't want you all about me, (keep on walking)
    'cause you never treat me right! (keep on walking, keep on walking)
    since you've gone away, my friends told me that you would
    well, goodbye baby, 'cause i'm thinkin' it's for good
    before you're leaving, don't be thinkin'
    i'll be dreamin' 'cause you're walkin' out alone!
    'cause you wanna hurt me baby,
    and you're [?] for my home!
    so keep on walking (keep on walking)
    keep on crying by the river late at night! (keep on walking, keep on walking)
    i don't want you all about me, (keep on walking)
    'cause you never treat me right! (keep on walking, keep on walking)
    you told me you loved me, my baby, then
    you turned right and around and you lied!
    now i'm here to let you know: you only hurt my pride!
    baby, yeah!
    since you've gone away, i've been thinkin' it's for good
    well, goodbye baby, my friends told me that you would
    before you're leaving, don't be thinkin'
    i'll be dreamin' 'cause you're walkin' out alone!
    'cause you wanna hurt me baby,
    and you're [?] for my home!
    so keep on walking (keep on walking)
    keep on crying by the river late at night! (keep on walking, keep on walking)
    i don't want you all about me, (keep on walking)
    'cause you never treat me right! (keep on walking, keep on walking)
    no, you never treat me right! (keep on walking, keep on walking)
    i said you never treat me right! bye, babe! (keep on walking, keep on walking)

    Hey I love your music. One thing. Can you please add 'The' to groups that have it in their titles. Later in the 90's it became a thing to leave it off. So it's not 'The' Pixies it's just Pixies. So when the band is introduced they ARE Pixies. Not a band called The Pixies. In the Sixties we hadn't gotten that ironic yet. I find I always have to add The to the titles. It's a small thing. But it does matter. If you can...

    • @Bolt24HotSounds
      @Bolt24HotSounds  4 роки тому +1

      Don't like it personally. I like to strip "the" unless "the" is "needed" like "The Few"

    • @lacrimatorium
      @lacrimatorium 4 роки тому +3

      @@Bolt24HotSounds These were part of the names just as later stripping 'The' from the names was a statement on its own that evidently you concur with. This group is a perfect illustration. By Fives sounds very different than The By Fives. Well whatever. I'll just continue to add 'The' when I download them. I'm not really a stickler, but historically speaking I know that very few bands from the 60s would have dreamed of omitting that word. And later bands like The Lyres, The Chesterfield Kings, The Fuzztones, reveled in the use of the definite article. Thanks for the great music though.

    • @Bolt24HotSounds
      @Bolt24HotSounds  4 роки тому +3

      @@lacrimatorium Jeff would be mad of you put "The" in front of Lyres.

    • @lacrimatorium
      @lacrimatorium 4 роки тому +4

      @@Bolt24HotSounds I humbly stand corrected. But you see it does matter.

    • @danielrichter2452
      @danielrichter2452 4 роки тому +1

      Just my two cents worth on this--if you look at any sixties punk compilation--you never see a "the" in front of the name of a band even though you would add it if you were referring to the band verbally. Also Bolt24 Hot Sounds--thank you for all the awesome uploads to your channel!
