Girl I’d be happy with a $10 gift from my friend. Even just a card. What happen to “it’s the thought that counts”? You should give your friends items from the Dollar Tree and see how they react, when they show their reactions - that’s when you should decide who you call a friend. Luxury items are special in my opinion and if you choose to treat yourself, that’s your business and we enjoy seeing your vlogs and what you buy. You should not feel guilty about what you choose to buy yourself, you’ve earned it. Your friends didn’t. Maybe your very BEST friend or true family. But not everyone is your best friend girl, remember that.

I’ve learned that my closest friends react the same when I buy them expensive gifts, and treat them to a coffee just because. I’m sure a laptop was more beneficial than a coffee, but the appreciation is always the same.

i actually really understand what youre going through! ive made myself known as the "friend who gives great presents" because of the price value and amount of gifts ive got for friends in the past. although thats a compliment and i absolutely adore buying gifts, it puts so much pressure on me to continue providing these "great gifts" to please my friends, even when i sometimes am not in the best place to financially do so. so i definitely feel you here! i just tell myself that any true friend wouldn't care about the price or amount of gifts that i buy for them & its truly the thought that counts.

When I started making money, I well went out of my way to spend money I didn’t even have on others because I wanted the people I cared for to be happy on the holidays. I realized that if the people around me care about me, they’ll just be appreciative that I even got them anything and thought about them. Remember, the holidays aren’t about presents. It’s about the memories and spending time with the ones you love. You won’t necessarily remember what someone got you 10 years ago, but you’ll remember how you felt.
Also, I shop for myself on Black Friday. Sometimes I buy myself more on Black Friday than anyone else. A good deal is a good deal. 💁♀️

Gabi you’re such a sweet heart. Your real friends wouldn’t expect super luxury items. Giving gifts feels nice and amazing to have the ability to do. But people forget the holidays are about the memories and spending time with your family. Hey Gabi, I just wanted to let you know that I think most amazing presents are always those that show how we know and care about someone ☺️ And the price should never be the most important, you probably already know this, but I just wanted to remind about that ❤️ If you think about your presents in this way maybe it will be easier for you to not compare with last year and so on - because just each year you are finding something special that you put your heart and thought into for someone - maybe someone has a new passion or you know that they could use something - this shows that you care and the price does not matter ☺️

The whole point of giving a gift is about the thought that goes into it. The person your giving the gift to should love the thought and the effort, not the price tag. True friends love you for you and not for what you have. 😊
