The timing was always off. When they were 19 and in college, niki was focused on their careers and goals, but Gabi was focused on her social life and partying. Now, they are 25 and Gabi is focusing on their career but Niki is trying to live the life she feels she missed out on when she was younger.

I should’ve communicated with you about how you were feeling especially since you were JUST KICKED OUT OF THE DORM. Here’s a tip everyone can do:
Try to not use “you” statements when apologizing,
“ I’m sorry YOU feel like this”
“I’m sorry YOU were offended”
Instead try “I” statements,
“When I said/did [hurtful thing], I wasn’t thinking. I realize I hurt your feelings, and I’m sorry,”
This acknowledges that you know what it was you said/did that hurt the other person, and you take responsibility for it.

Both of them are in the wrong. Niki chose a boy over her friends and still chooses others over gabi currently.
But if you watch their most recent reality show in Bahamas you can see the tension and hatred Rachel has for Gabi but Nikki still chose rachel over Her although she’s obviously toxic and bad for both of the twins and their relationship.

I'm not a therapist or nothing. But I do believe it is a bit different for twins sometimes only bc whey they grow up they are trying to find themselves and who they truly are. Because they have been considered 1 for so long. Not to mention if Gabi knows her own twin resented her. Why wouldn't she want to at least try to live her best life?
Gabi said “your so unavailable as a sister”. you went to parties and hung out with your sisters ex friends while she was crying in a dorm. And now that she want to take care of her self and grow and is letting you go, you want her to come back and are fake crying about how she never has time for you? Ah you the reason she is insecure and having a hard time, she feels like she is in your shadow bc you put her there. You always trying to be better than her and try to compete with her. The real problem here is Gabi. She’s essentially saying she hasn’t done anything wrong and that if Niki is upset that’s Nikis problem. But then she turns around and says Niki has to be understanding of her feelings... it’s a two way street. They both have issues but Niki is the only one having to acknowledge them.

Yeah this is basically true that there are other people in this world in their 20’s trying to find something that they like or love and dealing with relationships among people and this can be a difficult age gap within our lives and within others.
the whole college friends situation is so messed up, i could never hang out with people who hurt my sister like that. even if i “gravitated towards them” or whatever. if i knew they hurt her, i would never take their side.
I understand that you’re friends with people who do things you also enjoy and love. And for Gabi that was partying and the party crowds. But if anyone ever told me that they didn’t like my sister / actively spoke poorly of her. I couldn’t be around that. My family comes first. At the end of the day. Siblings are forever. Friends change and go.

Eh, I disagree. I mean, I agree that it's a toxic situation but it's not just because of Gabi. Gabi seems more confident now while Niki is less, and because Niki compares herself to Gabi (as in, she has done so throughout multiple videos) naturally it would make Gabi feel bad/awkward. At the same time, responding by putting yourself down doesn't _actually_ bring the other person up. It's a kneejerk reaction that isn't beneficial to either party
At the end of the day, the reason why everything is poor between them seems to be lack of conducive communication. They may never be super close because of everything they've been through and the fact that they're so incredibly different, but they shouldn't have a relationship that is so broken in the first place because they are different. It's like they just keep hurting each other and it's difficult to stop a cycle like this if you never get to the root of the issue.

The issue with their relationship is that they do not know how to communicate effectively with each other. Communication is the most important factor in any kind of relationship. Neither of them are better or worse then the other, it’s just that they’re different and have struggled to communicate

Same I know that feeling from an ex best friend I had in high school that would date my exes after me even though I still had feelings and/or was still hurt by them. (Never mind the breach of girl code 😒) and then in college a year ago me and my boyfriend had a mutual friend but then me and her fell out really badly because she was too needy and would complain about me to my boyfriend even after a couple warnings that it hurt and that wasn’t cool at all. but he stayed friends with her for good while still even though she would actively talk shit on me. It really hurt so I can see how Niki got hurt so badly by Gabi

Sometimes you find out someone was telling lies and spreading rumors to cause the distance! Which is why I carried on after the experience by telling ppl if they have a problem with me to come to me and not go and talk about it with other ppl! The way she said “her videos do terrible in LA 😃✌️” and said she say that Nikki knows (implying she’s told her that to her face) then goes “I would never say that to her face it’s a very sensitive topic”. Excuse me what? It’s bad enough she has the victim mentality but to try and twist the narrative and say yeah I told her something so rude to her face then said Nikki is so rude to her. Sorry but I can see why niki would act like that if that’s the behaviour she has to deal with constantly.
i feel like gabi expects niki to be the loving supportive sister towards her but gabi never really gives any love back in return. a relationship has to be mutual and there has to be a pouring of energy from both sides, but gabi isnt really putting the energy into the relationship leading to niki feeling depleted and resentful.
