🚀The Fastest Way To Start Your Sprint
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 бер 2023
- One of the biggest mistakes athletes make is pushing off of 2 feet during the start of a sprint. It doesn't matter if its a 2 point start on the field or out of the blocks, you have to change your force distribution if you want to maximize your speed.

@@OutperformOfficialthe back leg won't move you up. It can't. It's behind you. This is all wrong.....and you aren't fast.

I learned this in sixth grade and was killin people all through highschool out the blocks
Holy shit moose has launch control
My friend was just teaching me this move yesterday and it improved my 400m time 💪
It helped in winning a 100 m race
great to hear!
@@OutperformOfficialplease I have to turn ten miles and I have weak knees as a six grader and I ran a mile in 16 minutes and I got made fun of any advise please
Thank you I run relay so we don’t use blocks in track this is helpful to start bc I’m the starter of our relays
Welcome!
Inshort front foot is what makes difference 👏👏
omg. i have been doing it wrong literally like you said, that's really helpful thank you so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🖤🖤
Welcome, glad it helped!
Thanks helps alot
Glad to hear it!
Thankyou so much sir ❤ it's actually helping alot 🔥❤️
By the time you think of all that, everyone else will be gone
Exactly! That is why you do the drill work so the technique becomes automatic. You can't think your way through the sprint.
Pretty sure moose is gonna catch up no matter how long he spends thinking on the line
Thanks 👍
And here in egypt ,if we want to run faster we anger a local stray dog and
R U N
haha!
Poor thing, how are Stray Dogs treated in Egypt btw?
One day someone from Egypt is gonna break the wr ahah
Thanks for information

Welcome
i love your tips👍
That was very helpful
Thanks soooooo much
You're welcome!
Unreal, just been looking at this. Read about equal distribution of power between the front and back and also a 70/30 split, this explains it nicely, thanks coach! Front foot power it is!
Right on!
Please make a video on what skinny tall guys should do to improve their sprinting with both training and diet
Suggestion noted 🙂
I actually figured out all of this as a kid running around outside. I could sprint so fast. no one could catch me. Should have kept running more.
The First things to understand is that running is a controlled falling.
See Ben Johnson and his coach Charlie Francis. Push off of both feet but not up, horizontally. Also, be sure your back foot is flush against the blocks.
Depends on the stance. If you don't push off the back you will have to roll forward and false start before you go just like in the video. Especially from standing.
The back foot should push about 10% of total power, when done properly it won't cause you to roll forward or false start. Pushing hard from the back foot will cause a slower start and put you out of position on your first step,
Left or right foot depend on witch one you use
that man is a rock
Thanks to you I won my race 🎉🎉
Congratulations! That is fantastic to hear.
Great
i have a 100m soon and my time rn is 12.7 seconds im 13 eyars old and i hope i can win.
Good luck!

Omg ive gone there for a track meet

Thx fr hlp
Welcome!
Nice sir 🎉
Thanks and welcome
Dammit. I was doing that all the time. I thought it was proper. No wonder my starts were poor. I thought it was because of my nonexistent quads.
And your right foot can be your lead foot too so it depends on witch on you use
When the coach is fit...
I had to sprint a 17 minute walk in 5 minutes to catch my bus, I barely made it. Mainly a stamina issue but I also want more running techniques to make the most out of my short burst of power
i never knew this
Reply me sir
My 100 m timing was 18 second in 2023 i have been practicing above 8 month my personal best timing 11.8 second means sub 12 second
400 m was 110 second in 2023
I have been practicing from 6 months my pb is sub 60 ( 57.8 ) second
This improvement by self coaching without any coach ,,i have not much greater and better coach in sprints
But i face issue with my weather conditions my body feels low energy produce ,,,i feel plateau in my progression
Is 🥶 cold weather (3 degree Celsius) affect sprint session
Your progress in sprinting is remarkable, especially through self-coaching and in challenging weather conditions.
Cold weather can affect sprint performance due to muscle stiffness and energy challenges. To manage this, ensure a thorough warm-up and wear appropriate clothing for the cold.
Your plateau in progress, despite significant improvements, could be due to reaching a point where further gains require different training strategies or rest. Varying your routine and doing things like hill sprints, resisted sprints and 'Ins and outs" can help ua-cam.com/video/3XAewCniWkk/v-deo.html Keep up the great work!
Nice

Let’s shout out mans outfit
Holy moly he was so still i thought it was a 3d image
Have this problem completely step out blocks
♥️♥️♥️
When he say back foot he mean the foot that trail the lead foot out of the blocks
Sir i like ur shoes ❤😅
Thanks 😅
Ruptured my Achilles pushing off my back foot
Sorry to hear that. But you bring up another issue with pushing off the back. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
👍👍💪💪
You have absolutely ruined my day. I NEEDED TO KNOW THIS FORTY YEARS AGO
haha
To get maximum volictity you lead foot need to come out first then the trail foot after following the leading foot
Dude, share a video of your lead foot coming out of the blocks first, I want to see that!
The lead foot is the foot that come out the blocks first
❤
❤😊
what shoes is the host wearing ?
It is compulsory to keep left leg front. 🦵 or right also 😊.
Whatever leg you feel gives you the most power, good to experiment with both
@@OutperformOfficialhello 👋 sir ,,I had experienced with both feet my right leg more power produce compared to left leg
Whenever I uses my left leg for dominance leg my tibia bone become pain ,,,my left leg easily pain and discomfort
My right leg feels less pain stride frequency is higher in right leg in counting my steps
I am having trouble deciding my event as I have a lot of endurance and i run 18:30 5km but i am also quick with a 53 second 400m
Go with which one you enjoy the most.
I feel like a 53 second 400m is more impressive although the 5km time is also very impressive
You can't do both?
Hey, i'm 17'03 the 5 km but also a 53 s 400 , 18'30 the 5 is actually not good compared to a 53'00 400 m

What about under development of Dorsi and Planter Flexion, Tight Achilles Tendon and slowed down Nervous system response from weightlifting..
CAPABILITY TO HAVE ABILITY.
Wait does lifting actually slow down nervous system response time Fr
@@Taka5u Yes ,Plyometric Copling speed is negatively effected from heavy Weight lifting ,partly because of slower nervous system response adaption.
The lead foot is the one with first come out the block first
The front foot or lead foot comes out of the bocks last.
@@OutperformOfficial can sled pushing be helpful to practice running with forward lean?
yo was that chewkz?
I thought the dude is ai generated until he was tapped
It is better to push the front foot hard, and the back foot cannot be pushed strongly, so it is better to move quickly while pulling. You mean??
You got it, push hard with the front, pull quick with the back
He's wrong
Wowh ! I got 10 sec less insane! Bro
That’s call Speed kill
I am anthony and I am from Jamaica
Do you ever get many sprinters who start with there left leg back rather than right?
Yes, it just depends on what leg they feel most comfortable with/get the best results with.
Ben Johnson pushed off of both legs with great success. Why doesn't anyone start like that anymore?
There is a ton of advice and different viewpoints out there, you need to figure out what works for you and go with it. Bruce Lee has a great quote on this one 🙂
@@OutperformOfficial so with that in mind, do you have athletes try different techniques until you find what works for them?
I just started high jump 2 weeks ago and I've just started to get into it, but I'm having trouble arching and rotating correctly, I've already watched all of your videos on those catagories but do you have any other tips?
It's all in the approach and developing great core strength. We have a great guide with high jump drills we posted on our site that should really help outperformsports.com/high-jump-workouts/
The crazy thing is that we over-train this to death. Most athletes already do it naturally and just need their technique refined. Coaches, we're not important in the ways we think we are.
Insightful point. While natural biomechanics can guide certain athletes correctly, a coach's role in refining and optimizing technique remains crucial. It's about striking the right balance between natural ability and technical guidance.
@@OutperformOfficial Right, I believe our sentiment is synonymous, I'm just far less charitable.

How to stay low from 2 point or 3 point
It's the body angle, not bending at the waist. Focus on shin angle and neutral head, wall drills help develop this. Check out this video on 3 point starts ua-cam.com/video/SE0SEbGSA-M/v-deo.html
I'm 16 and relatively new. What is a good 60 time for perspective

Is muse a A1 or human 🤔
Sir I want to run under 10 second, that are possible are not
Breaking the 10 second barrier in the 100m is very difficult. It depends on your technique, genetics, work ethic, training plan etc. However you'll never know until you try.
Are you running at a 300m

No athlete does that
Should be common sense
