      The trurh in this case is that Deedat was talking nonsense. Deedat was a layman in classic Hebrew. Never did Deedat refer to a Hebrew dictionary or scholar to prove his point.
      The first mistake by Deedat is that he pronounced מַחֲּמַדִּ֑ים as ‘muhamaddim’. But he is wrong, it is ‘ma-kha-madim’. So there is no pronunciation of Muhammad. Just check every high valuated Hebrew dictionary or lexicon.
      The other mistake made by Deedat is that he said that ‘מַחֲּמַדִּ֑ים' is a name. Again he is very wrong because מַחֲּמַדִּ֑ים is a masculine plural noun, so it is not a name. Again, just check every high valuated Hebrew dictionary or lexicon. And because it is not a name it is impossible that it refers to the name of ‘Muhammad’.

      Sure, nobody has the right to translate names. But the deception by Deedat is that the classic Hebrew מַחֲּמַדִּ֑ים is NOT a name, but it is a masculine plural noun. And because it is not a name it is impossible that it refers to the name of 'muhammad'. Just check every high valuated Hebrew dictionary or lexicon. And you will notice that layman Deedat has fooled you people.

    Also was Deedat wrong about his claim that spirits and prophets are the same. The text in 1 John 4 says: “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”. But the verse is clear e.g. in the word ‘because’. In Greek “ὅτι’ = ‘hoti” which means ’that’ or ‘since’ or ‘because’. Clearly this verse only states that spirits are the result of the presence of false prophets in the world. So 1 John 4:1 clearly states that false prophets are the course and spirits are the result. That makes clear that prophets and spirits are NOT the same, they are two different types of entities.

    Holy spirit was already present before and during Jesus' time so it cannot refer to the holy spirit

    • @mcp84

      He said it doesn't.
      He said spirit of truth doesn't refer to holy spirit

    • @reneandjohn
      @reneandjohn 9 місяців тому

      Your 'argument' about 'the Holy Spirit was already there' has no sense because in John 14-16 Jesus Christ was speaking to His disciples who had not RECEIVED the Holy Spirit YET. That's also why Jesus Christ said to His disciples:
      " ... the Helper is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him; but you know Him because He remains WITH you and will be IN you." John 14:17
      Clearly in the presence tense the Holy Spirit who was upon Jesus Christ was WITH the disciples. Muhammad was NOT with the disciples, so it us not about Muhammad.
      Also in future tense the Holy Spirit, as replacer of Jesus Christ after His ascension, will be IN the disciples. Muhammad was NOT in the disciples, so it is NOT about Muhammad.
      And the word 'Comforter' is just an English TRANSLATION of the Koine Greek word παράκλητος, Paracletos. And the word Paracletos can have several meanings, like ‘to be called in the place of’, Advocate, Helper, Comforter. Therefore you need context to know who the Paracletos really is. First of all the Paracletos is a ROLE. A special role for the Holy Spirit, also Spirit of Truth, who will be in the disciples. Jesus Christ explained one of the purposes of that role:
      “But the Helper (Paracletos), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. “
      So one the attributes of the Paracletos is to remember the disciples everything what Jesus has said to them. Muhammad did not remind the disciples what Jesus Christ has said to the disciples because Muhammad came six centuries after the disciples. So the Paracletos is NOT Muhammad.

    • @ChingChengHanji_

      @reneandjohn it's 100% referring to Prophet Muhammad PBUH

    • @reneandjohn
      @reneandjohn 9 місяців тому

      @ChingChengHanji_ Really? Lol. Jesus Christ said alsi to His disciples:
      “But when the Helper comes, whom I WILL SEND to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me." John 15:26
      And:
      "Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I WILL SEND him to you." John 16:7
      So Jesus Christ has sent the Comforter (Paracletos). Now I ask you, is Muhammad sent by Jesus Christ?
      Can your answer that?

  • @reneandjohn
    @reneandjohn 9 місяців тому

    Deedat quoted John 16:12, 3 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. “.
    But consciously he omits the following verses John 16: 14 and 15: “He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
    Clearly it says that what the Spirit of truth will tell it is from Jesus. Did Muhammad become his ‘revelation’ from Jesus? Certainly not. So the Spirit of truth is NOT Muhammad.
    But the previous verses John 16 7-11 say “But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9about sin, because people do not believe in me; 10about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.”
    Clearly the Spirit of truth is the ‘Paraclete’(in Greek) translated as ‘Advocate’.
    And John 14:26 states clearly who is the Advocate (Paraclete) and why he has to come: “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
    So clearly the Advocate is the Holy Spirit, so no Muhammad.
    And the Holy Spirit came to teach and remember the disciples what Jesus has said. So no new message and no other prophet after Jesus
    Clearly mr. Deedat twisted the Bible and Jesus words out of context and therefore he was deceiving the audience!
    Of course it was easy in that time, internet was uncommon so people could not check.

  • @reneandjohn
    @reneandjohn 9 місяців тому

    Deedat was no scholar in classic languages. Moreover, Deedat was not even officially educated at all. And never did Deedat refer to a scholar in classic languages. Sure every noun in the Koine Greek has a gender. But the gender of nouns, not pronouns but nouns, in which they refer can differ indeed. Like in John 1:4: "In him (M) was life (F), and that life (F) was the light (M) of all mankind." So a female noun wich refers to a neuter noun. So in the same way as in John 4:24 "God (M) is Spirit (N)..." is in John 14 the Paracletos (M) is Spirit (N).
    And yes, the Paracletos is a person but not a human. Not a human because it is a Spirit (John 14:17), the Holy Spirit (John 14:26), which the world cannot see (John 14:17) and is in people (John 14:17). So Deedat’s 'argument' fails. And so no prophet in John 14-16, let alone Muhammad.

    If you read John 14-16 in context, then it will become clear that the Paracletos (translated as Comforter or Helper) does not fit Muhammad at all. First of all, in John 14-16 Jesus Christ was speaking to His disciples.
    But Muhammad was not with the disciples (John 14:17).
    And Muhammad was not in the disciples after Jesus Christ's ascension (John 14:17).
    Muhammad was not sent in Jesus' name (John 14:26).
    Muhammad was not the Holy Spirit (John 14:26).
    Muhammad did not teach the disciples (John 14:26).
    Muhammad did not remember the disciples everything what Jesus Christ has said to them (John14:26).
    Muhammad is not sent by Jesus Christ (John 15:26 and 16:7).
    Muhammad did not testify about Jesus Christ to the disciples (John 15:26).
    Muhammad did not guide the disciples in all truth (John 16:13).
    Muhammad did not disclose it to the disciples (John 16:13).
    Muhammad did not glorify Jesus Christ (John 16:14).
    Muhammad did not become his 'revelation' from Jesus Christ (John 16:14 and 16:15).
    So the Paracletos is definitely not Muhammad.

No name as we see our prophets names. Tou eont see Mohammed. I've proven this guy wrong eight times now. By writing out God's truth. ( NO , Mohammed mentioned ). Hes not replied to me as asked. Because , no Mohammed. We are two different faiths we worship two different gods. My Jesus , is not theirs. Whats in their Quran . Is not not in my bible. He has no real understanding of my God's truth. Which scripture and again, I'll prove him wrong a ninth time.

    Is Muhammad predicted in Songs of Solomon 5:16?
    חִכֹּו֙ מַֽמְתַקִּ֔ים וְכֻלֹּ֖ו מַחֲמַדִּ֑ים זֶ֤ה דֹודִי֙ וְזֶ֣ה רֵעִ֔י בְּנֹ֖ות יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
    ḥikwō maməṯaqqîm wəḵullwō maḥămadîm zeh ḏwōḏî wəzeh rē‘î bənwōṯ yərûšālāim:
    “His mouth is most sweet; he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.”
    Also the claim that the plural 'im' (or 'eem') in ma-kha-madim in the Hebrew language was ‘added for respect’ is in this case false. First of all, nowhere in Songs of Solomon 5 it speaks about אֱלהִים, elohim, the masculine noun for a godhead. But Song of Solomon 5 speaks about ממתקים, mamtaqim and מחמדים, ma-kha-madim. So you can't compare apples with oranges. Biblical poetry is typically built on pairs of metaphors, for example "they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions". In Song of Songs 5:16 it's "His mouth is most sweet, ממתקים, he is altogether lovely, מחמדים. So מחמדים, ma-kha-madim is equivalent to ממתקים, mamtaqim. So the addition ‘-im’ is just a superlative of ‘desire', so it means 'most desire'. Exactly in line with the other words in vers 16: ‘mamtaqim’ = most sweet and other places ‘partamim' = most noble.
    Forms of the same Hebrew word are also used elsewhere in the Old Testament, yet Islamic ‘scholars' do not claim that those passages refer to Muhammad. Rightly so, since those verses cannot be forced to fit the notion that Muhammad is under consideration. For example, Isaiah 64:11 mourns the destruction of Jerusalem: “Our holy and beautiful temple, where our fathers praised You, is burned up with fire; and all our pleasant things are laid waste.” “Pleasant things” is a form of the same word in Song of Solomon 5:16. Would Deedat contend that Muhammad was “laid waste” in Jerusalem?
    Additional occurrences of the same word are seen in 1 Kings 20:6; 2 Chronicles 36:19; Lamentations 1:10,11; Ezekiel 24:16,21,25; Hosea 9:9,16; Joel 3:5. Is in this cases also Muhammad mentioned? If yes, why? If not, why not?
    So in Songs of Solomon no Muhammad.

      It is a name, because it does not make sense in the masculine plural of suggesting more than 1 on the word lovely when describing 1 man, like bag and bags. The chapter is describing a man. So it is a name if not otherwise. And his saying they have translted a name to its meaning. Lovely cannot be more than 1 so theu had to out altogether because it dont make sense otherwise. Mackmadim and mohammed are similar to the tongue also, as is elohim and allahim(in turkish for example) and eloh and allah. His not comapring apples to oranges, he showing you in what circumstances IM is used.
      And everything else he explained proves his point more.
      Based on the previous couple fo oines, yes we can say there mohammed if its fits the descriotion of man being described.

      @aaaddf4572 All high valuated Hebrew dictionaries, like the Brown Driver Briggs Hebrew and English / BDB, HALOT, DCH and Jastrow, are very clear about the Hebrew מַחְמַד:
      Noun masculine
      Meaning: desire, desirable thing
      Pronounce: makh-mawd
      So there is no pronunciation of ‘muhammad’. And it is clearly a masculine noun. So it is not a name. So it is impossible that it refers to the name of ‘muhammad’.

    • @reneandjohn
      @reneandjohn Місяць тому

      @aaaddf4572 Definitions of nouns and names:
      Defintion of a noun:
      a word (other than a pronoun) used to identify any of a class of people, places, or things ( common noun ), or to name a particular one of these ( proper noun ).
      Definition of a name:
      a word or set of words by which a person or thing is known, addressed, or referred to.
      Difference between name and noun:
      Name: What someone or something is called such as 'Mandy'. ... It's also called proper name (especially British English). Common Noun: in grammar, a common noun is any noun that is not the name of a particular person, place, or thing. For example, 'book', 'sugar', and 'stuff' are common nouns.
      So a common noun is NOT a name. The Hebrew makhamadim has nothing to do with the name of 'muhammad'.

    • @reneandjohn
      @reneandjohn Місяць тому

      @aaaddf4572 And Song of Solomon is about a beautiful young girl (Shulammite maiden) who is in love with a young shepherd boy. One day Solomon spots her and has her eventual brought to his residence where he tries to entice her to become another of his wives. The young shepherd follows and finds her and assures her of his love. She resist all the enticements, charms, riches, and luxurious life of a wife to the King. Finally she escapes and returns to her true love the humble shepherd boy. So it has nothing to do with Muhammad.

    • @reneandjohn

      @aaaddf4572 Yes he is showing in which circumstances the addition 'im' is used. In case of elohim he spoke about the title of a godhead. And case of makhamadim you speak about a superlative of lovely. Clearly, two different circumstances.

      The role of the Paracletos was not to give the Christians something next 2000 years. So your question is not applicable. But the role of the Paracletos was to help the disciples of Jesus Christ, e.g. to remind them everything that Jesus Christ has said to them. Muhammad did not remind the disciples everything that Jesus Christ has said to them. So the Paracletos is NOT Muhammad.

    • @reneandjohn
      @reneandjohn Місяць тому

      @aaaddf4572 First of all, you must understand that in John 14-16 Jesus Christ was speaking to His disciples.
      And the complete phrase says:
      “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them at the present time. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take from Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; this is why I said that He takes from Mine and will disclose it to you." John 16:12‭-‬15‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
      In verse 12 Jesus referred to His crucifixion, death and resurrection and its purpose because the disciples did not understand it yet. After outpouring of the Holy Spirit, as Paracletos for the disciples, the disciples understand its purpose, Acts 2:14-39. It was NOT Muhammad who convinced the disciples this purpose. So it is NOT about Muhammad.
      The Spirit of truth will guide disciples in all truth. But Muhammad did not guide the disciples in all truth. So the Spirit of truth is NOT Muhammad.
      The Spirit of truth will glorify Jesus Christ. Muhammad did not glorify Jesus Christ because he denied the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Meanwhile Jesus Christ predicted and confirmed His crucifixion, death and resurrection many times. So the Spirit of truth is NOT Muhammad.
      The Spirit of truth will take it from Jesus Christ. Muhammad did not become his 'revelation' from Jesus Christ. So the Spirit of truth is NOT Muhammad.
      The Spirit of truth will disclose it to the disciples. Muhammad did not disclose it to the disciples. So the Spirit of truth is definitely NOT Muhammad.
      Never did Jesus Christ say that a prophet will come after Him. Because Jesus Christ is the Truth, the Life and the only way to the Father. So after Him no prophets are needed anymore.
