Welcome back and hope you're feeling a bit refreshed! The art yarn made such an amazing texture on that scarf. I love how the color looks more jewel-toned and saturated against the black. Can't wait to see what you're up to next 😊
Weelcome baaaaack, Trish and a HNY to you and yours. Lovely scarf! I have just finished a scarf made from my drop spindling adventures with mill waste. I'm going to be so warm next winter. I bought a lb each of 22 and 29 micron merino top, for espinner practice and finished it all in 16 days. I am thinking of leaving it in the natural creamy white, or maybe I'll dye it after weaving. Either way, I need to warp up the loom again. Hope to see you again soon. 😚
I will look at your art yarn spin. I may have missed it! My oldest daughter wants an art yarn wall hanging. Maybe for her birthday in June. Your scarf is very nice. Love the texture.
Your an inspiration.... Thank you. New to weaving. Never did spinning or dying, looks interesting. I also crochet. Never really learned to knit. However...ya never know!
My motto this year is to make a dent in the stash!! I am currently weaving plain kitchen towels on my rigid heddle with random stripes - I emptied 5 of my 4 harness loom bobbins from prior projects making the stripes … so a good start on my New Year!! It looks like the scarf went into the shop and SOLD - congratulations!
it turned out really cute. Glad you are feeling better, hard being sick this time of year with so much going on. I had an ugly headache cold in Dec too, was sick for a couple of weeks., mostly sinus stuff. Just glad it wasn’t influenza!
Hi Trish. I am so happy to see you weave again. Although I also am not for art yarn, this scarf looks 👌. Please keep weaving and sharing. Looking forward 👀 you soon. Kisses from hot Greece 🇬🇷.
I had just made my first art yarn. Tried the dr Seussy type , and added a glitter thread. Was thinking about making a scarf, with it using a black warp, but a wavy shuttle. Never used the wavy shuttle, never made art yarn, heck, never wove a scarf😆. I figure it will look amazing or like hot garbage🤣
Great to see you back. Your art yarn inspired me to spin my own. Now I’ll need to weave it into a scarf! Love how yours worked up. I hope you were able to relax and enjoy some family time and time to simply “be”.
Yeahhhh you’re back! It’s six in the morning and I’m eating my breakfast before work. Happy new year starts well this way. Glad you’re better and back.
Love your videos. I purchased your warping bar and am in love! It has made all the difference for me with my weaving. My warp has great tension even with cottlin yarn. For winding the warp I place the bar on the floor and add a weight to the bar and wind from there. Works great! Thank you so much for developing this product.
Belated Happy New Year. Like you, I'm not big on art yarn either but the scarf turned out great!! That would have made a nice bag or rug too. Sorry to hear you were under the weather but glad you're better.
Spinning art yarn is so much fun - I seem to go through phases where it’s all I want and then I’m back to my default yarns😂. Weaving is a great use of art yarns and this scarf looks gorgeous. I love how the black shows off the other colours!
From Gerry- It really looks great. I only used a 5 dent once and I probably could have used an 8. I hope you weave some more "art yarn" scarves. I will encourage us to use all of our yarns because once you weave them, they really make nice scarves. Blessings. Good to see you again.
You living room looks perfect. Oh wait, is that a pillow in the back corner that is slightly crooked?!😉 I would love to try a rigid heddle loom someday. I'm trying to learn bobbin lace which is weaving without a loom sort of. Although getting my thrift shop spinning wheel fully workable is my main goal at the moment. It's simple fixes like replacing the leathers and cleaning it, simple stuff like that.💖💖💖
This weaving was so fun to see!! Now I'm thinking I need to learn to make art yarn so I can do more unexpected (for me) things! I'm so happy you're back! Looking forward to wherever your journey takes you in 2023!😘
Yyeah, your back!!!!! Love your hair 😋 I tried my first weaving project and it came apart 😂 that’s ok, I’m just learning. I love your finished scarf, always gorgeous!
Since moving… I haven’t been able to touch my rigid heddle 😢 my new craft studio isn’t finished and won’t be for awhile 💔🥹 maybe by my birthday in June? This looks so fun though! I’ve never used art yarn.
Gorgeous Trish! I love it too! BTW, I know you are not a fan of the idea, but how about putting up a patreons account? You don’t need to say anything, nor ask. Just put it out there and if someone wants to join, they’ll join. If not, they won’t. Just think about it. Love you!
I have a membership area on UA-cam that works the same to help support my channel. This way there's just one platform. Thank you so much for the suggestion. I so appreciate anybody looking for ways to help support! ❤
I enjoy you...your humor is wonderful...I would like some input...I have a 20" Schact RHL...I know basics...made table runner, scarfs, pillow...wondering what to do next...classes on line are too beginner or I need more equipment...I have a 10 dent and 8 dent...maybe I need another 8 dent (most of my yarn is for crochet...#3 & #4....I've fulled around with a heddle rod....no class to take near me...any thoughts are appreciated !
Great tip about using a wider set to let the texture of the art yarn show more. Have you ever adjusted your set by skipping slots/holes or would that make the spacing too wonky? Just thinking about how to accomplish the same effect with the equipment I already have (10 dent heddle).
I have done it. It works fine. You just skip two openings at a time during slewing. The only thing that limits you is the size of the holes and slots. As long as they're large enough to accommodate the warp yarn, you're set!
Loved this! Thanks for sharing it with us. Were you carrying the different yarns up the sides or cutting and weaving in ends all the time? I think I saw you carrying, but it went fast 😂 I haven’t tried to carry up the side for more than a row or two of weft so I was curious if you were for the larger sections. Thanks always and happy new year!🎉
The variety of colours in the scarf is gorgeous 💜
Happy New Year and Welcome back! May 2023 be a relaxed year for you with lots of friendship, creativity and fun!
Thanks, you make it look doable. You inspired me to get a loom to spin my handspun yarn.
Love the texture changes you incorporated. This would also be a handsome man's scarf. 👍👍👍
Welcome back and hope you're feeling a bit refreshed! The art yarn made such an amazing texture on that scarf. I love how the color looks more jewel-toned and saturated against the black. Can't wait to see what you're up to next 😊

I just assembled the Sampleit loom yesterday. So glad you did this video. I will watch it several times
I love how that scarf turned out!
Luther 🤣🥰 The scarf turned out gorgeous ❤️
I was just thinking how beautiful this was when in the video you say it's not showing just how beautiful it really is!
It looks really nice on you.
It looks like city lights in the night from a distance. Oh and I love the way you tossed the measuring tape. 😁
Thank you! 😊
Your an inspiration.... Thank you. New to weaving. Never did spinning or dying, looks interesting. I also crochet. Never really learned to knit. However...ya never know!
I so love watching a piece roll off the loom! That's gorgeous!

Super Cute Scarf !! Glad to see you, take good care !!
The scarf is really pretty.
This turned out beautiful 🥰🧶
Wow, that is beautiful. It is always so interesting to watch you set up and weave on your loom.
This is the year I am saving really hard for a loom! Loved watching you, you make it look so easy!
Happiest New Year Trish! I was so excited to see you back 💗
This is a perfect project for that early hand spun. Without trying that first-hand spun is art yarn. Now I have a plan for it. Thanks 😊
Great to see you back. Your art yarn inspired me to spin my own. Now I’ll need to weave it into a scarf! Love how yours worked up. I hope you were able to relax and enjoy some family time and time to simply “be”.

The scarf turned out amazing. I can’t wait to get a loom.
Love it! I stay away from art yarn too, maybe I will try some soon.
Very pretty! I want to buy a loom in a few months, so I enjoy watching how you start it, set it up.
BE-U-TI-FUL!!! And fun to watch! 😊
Yay you're back! Happy New year. X
Woohoo! It’s so good to see you again! And I love RH weaving with funky yarn. This was fun.🎉 WELCOME BAAAAAAACK!

Hello, I inquired about your warping bar under another video. It's sold out in your store. Will you have it available for purchase again soon?
Welp looks like I'm NOT packing up my RHL lol

I was carrying. I really struggled making it look good earlier on, but I feel better about it now.
@@FiberLoveDiary gotcha, thanks! It looked great in the video!
Can you tell us the approximate yardage of the handspun you used - or did you already and I missed it?
I think she said it was just under 200 yds.
I am sooooo on the fence about weaving
You’re making me later or work, lol😂
You make that look easy but I am sure it is not.
Beautiful scarf
