I used to carry Glimakra and I still have the shop loom here. I love love love their over head beater floor looms. I'm not a fan of their rigid heddles and it's just a preference thing. I'm not a fan of how they sit but they are structurally sound and they work really well. It's just a personal preference thing.

Very informative Video! I am in the process of getting a rigit heddle loom, and eventually I want to do some twill weaves, so I need to work with multible heddles/pick up sticks, and I am debating on what size of extra heddles to get. I spin very thin yarn, and after your recommendation, I would need a 12,5 dpi heddle for it. The thing with twills is of course there are often two threads in one slot to go through two heddles, and with different positions the threads will need to move independently from each other. So my question is would it be better with double the amount of threads, to take a little bigger heddle for the threads to move more easily? Say 10dpi? Or could I still use a 12dpi?

Thanks for another informative video. I am especially interested in unbalanced weave, specifically using a thin warp ie, thin cotton rug warp with thick wool yarn or tshirt yarn to make rugs. Is there a “sweet spot” in regards to yarn pairing, and also with regard to beating the weft to make a stable usable rug on a rigid heddle loom/

I am a new weaver and am a bit confused about which dent to use. When I do the one inch wrap I get 12. So do I look at using a 6 dent? I don’t have one.would a 7.5 work? Thanks
