  • Even pre-COVID, this bike-run-bike adventure would've checked off a lot of boxes. This time, I'm throwing in a little off-trail action, a socially-distanced friend, and fog for days. Final mileage: 17 miles and 3000' gain by foot, 30 miles by bike.

Bike road to/from the sf parkside to the that north tower trail head lot, and hiked a loop route to/from slacker peak this morning...~18 miles on bike, ~4 miles on foot...took me ~ 3 hrs. If I had more time, I would have liked to have spent more time on foot in the headlands. Thanks for posting last week! Got me moving.

What's the name of the Belt your friend is using? Also pretty thick legs u must have done some squatting at some point.

It's a Nathan Trail Mix belt - slightly older model than what's currently available. Re: squatting - what's that?

      I don’t even lift bro 😂

In all seriousness, I’ve done some lifting but a lot of my past focus was on racket sports.

@@HikingNerd i thought so, your legs had that typical look you get after a squat regiment, that's not what trail runner legs look like, i wonder how much of a disadvantage it is for endurance stuff

Oh doggies that was fantastic. Carl should of did his monster voice through the whole video, ( like beginning). It would of been funny. But you guys had a fun day. Thanks for the journey. 👍

Awesome video! Do you have suggestions for a newbie when biking to Marin, how to deter bike thieves?
