- The last stop on our trip to Napa was a little day trip to San Francisco and despite the cold wind, we loved it! We were able to see so much during out few hours there before our flight. We did Chinatown, Umbrella Alley, Fisherman's Warf, The Palace of Fine Arts and so much more! We loved this day trip to San Fran!

We are Keanna and Dustin! We are teachers who were dating long distance and now we are engaged! Keanna is from Atlanta and Dustin is from Indianapolis. We now live together in Atlanta. Keanna currently teaches fourth grade while Dustin is teaching seventh and eighth grade. We met through the wonderful world of Instagram and haven't looked back. We share our love, adventures, and everything in between.

San Francisco summers are not colder than their winters, summer is the best time to check it out, more tourist but warmer ❤

I can TOTALLY relate to how cold Frisco was for you. I remember being in mid May and freezing when the rest of the country was in a heat wave. A local then said this quote to me and I could absolutely relate:
"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco". -Mark Twain
I visited over 20 years ago in the month of August. San Francisco was warm in the daytime but chilly at night.

I’m glad that you both had a wonderful time.
When I visited San Francisco it was in July and it was still cold and windy! There was a Walgreens near our hotel that sold clothes, and everybody was in there buying hats, sweaters, and jackets. Our Hop On/Hop Off tour guide told us that September was the warmest month for them. I will visit again at some point because we didn’t get to see Ghirardelli’s Square and Alcatraz.
I know they give tours of Alcatraz but being confined doesn't appeal to my free spirit self.
I have an aunt in San Francisco, but I have never visited. 😢Thanks for taking us on your vacation to this beautiful, historic city. Enjoy your weekend.

San Francisco my home city! You definitely have to be prepared with a hat, coat, scarf, and gloves in the city. It can be a beautifully warm day, but once late after noon hits you better be prepared.
I haven't been in years. I have to go back.. It is a very expensive place to live. There is a lot of history there. THANKS FOR SHARING.

Well I'm glad you enjoyed my City and State (San Francisco, Ca.) I'm from where people come from other states because of the freedom they didn't have in the Southern States. I'm glad my mom had given us the opportunity to grow up in that environment.
I'm glad you guys had a great time in my beautiful hometown. The park across from the painted ladles is near my home Church of Third Baptist. I am surprised that cars were broken into in the daytime because I have parked there as has other church members for years and have never had an issue. I'm glad you had no issues. Because San Francisco is surrounded on 3 sides By either the bay or the pacific ocean it tends to be cooler then other towns and cities in the area, but funny thing is when we are having a heat wave in the bay area it tends to be hotter, Go figure.
I'm glad to see another Bay Area person comment. Remember Playland. They saved the lady and I think they are going to put her in a Museum.
I live in the South where my mom grew up in.
San Francisco is cold in the summer; at least it was the last time I was there and it was in July.

Beautiful, the Panama Pacific Expedition built in 1915, the building is gorgeous. It was a World Expedition. Thank you for sharing your vacation,it’s like going on with you guys. I haven’t been there since 1962 my dad was stationed there. He was in the army.

Glad you two had a great time! I enjoyed seeing the beautiful scenery and the background music is nice. I wouldn't want to live or drive on a curvy/hairpin street because that would stress me out dealing with that everyday. The Umbrella Alley was cool; I believe there's an area in Chicago that has already set up (or going to set up) a display like Umbrella Alley.

@@KeannaDustin I would suggest heading down the coast. Take HWY 1 and hit spots like Monterey Bay, Carmel, Big Sur.. stop for pics by Bixby Bridge, check out Julia Pheiffer State Park, the sea lion rookery in San Simeon and take a tour of Hearst Castle. Best weekend road trip I've done and I've done many in Cali.. 😄

San Francisco is colder because of the Ocean breeze coming off the ocean floor. Also my allergies were the worst in that area than in Monterey County and their Ocean breeze. You need to see Carmel California. In fact I wouldn't mind being your tour guide from San Francisco on down south. Just 45 mins out is Goggle's headquarters and Apple Computers Headquarters.
There are somethings on our bucket list that is a must see.
San Francisco is nice lots to do most people who aren't from California who visit assume its warm because it's in California even in summer month's its like upper 60s low 70s in daytime you always need a jacket layers is key weather changes throughout day San Francisco is horrible with break in they really need to do something about it in broad daylight its horrible ruins peoples experience traveling wanting to relax have fun.

Thieves hit in a split second. Before you realize what's happening, the thieves are gone, and it takes forever for the police to come. Tourists need to know do not leave suitcases in the car. Thieves know rental cars and target them. Glad this didn't happen to you.
