- In today's video, I am sharing my thoughts on Sonlight's Homeschool Kindergarten Science Program.

Sonlight Science K empowers children to think like scientists, preparing them for future scientific endeavors. Beyond traditional topics, it fosters skills used by scientists and engineers to investigate, problem-solve, and innovate. From studying the sun's heat to exploring insects' eyes, this curriculum sparks curiosity daily.
Through hands-on exploration of rainforests and encounters with reptiles, insects, and plants, students develop real scientific skills. Featuring high-level introductions to forces, matter, and STEM subjects, Science K cultivates a lifelong passion for scientific learning.

Could you elaborate on sonlight’s viewpoint on age of earth and evolution?

Have you used gentle and classical nature study? I’m debating between Sonlights science k or a g&c nature study for my 5 year old.
I have not used gentle & classical natures study….Sonlight is very traditional and open and go.
I have both and they are completely different. Sonlight’s is more traditional in science topics (animals, physics…etc) and is very open and go. G+C nature study is really just that (plants, animals…etc) and it requires a lot more prep, especially if you purchased the digital version, but even with the physical order it still requires a lot of prep. It is really nice though.
