Thanks for this video. It was so nice to hear positives about TGATB, and to see someone else use the program. I used TGATB Preschool with my son, and he loved it. He just finished it earlier this month, and I bought it for my daughter, too. We invested in a printer, downladed the Level K, and printed it for my son for August. I also got him My First Nature Reader and My First Africa Reader. He's already reading through the Nature Reader and loves it. You can just see the joy in his face when reading and looking at the pictures. We have all the Little Hands Science Units. We just bought the Sparks and Stars as my son LOVES space.
It's our first official year of homeschool here, and we are just starting out with TGTB for Language arts, Math and the Fields and Flowers science unit with our boy who is almost 6. They look so beautiful and engaging, and seem just the right level for him and he really enjoys his lessons. It's so nice to see someone else using the same course, I hope it goes well for your littlies ☺️
I used the TGTB language arts pre-k, k prep, k, math k and are currently in level one language arts and math. We LOVED it. My son really enjoyed these courses. He learned so much and took pride in his progress.
For the 2023/24 school year I have been using the Math K for my then 4 yo who just turned 5. He was exhibiting a lot of interest in math and was already adding two and three digit numbers. Some of the concepts are easy for him but there are still plenty of things he has been learning from this curriculum and he really enjoys it. I fully plan on buying the first grade box when we finish it in the next couple of months! For reading I got the Teach your kid to read in 100 lessons book and he wasn't ready for it at the beginning of the school year. But we picked it back up a month ago and he has just soared with it! I'm considering getting the level K language arts book after we finish this book.
We've completed the preschool and kindergarten prep curriculum from TGTB. We are now working on the kindergarten book. We absolutely LOVE it! I have my 6&7 year old doing it together. I waited until they were a bit older. We worked very slowly through the preschool book. It has worked amazingly we're only in lesson 30 and my Kindergarteners are reading. We are also working through the Kindergarten math. They love it! So much so they ask if they can do more than one lesson in a day. We're slowly working through the science units we have field and flower and wind and waves. They also join in on reptiles, mammals, and safety unit i do with my older children. My son has completed level 1 and working on level 2 now and level 3 math. My oldest daughter has don level 6, 7, and 8. We olan on doing the highschool lang arts as well. We also do the history from TGTB as a family subject. I love TGTB its working well for us.
I been homeschooling for over 5 years but my oldest is going to 9th grade and my youngest is starting prek. we decided to go with abeka for preschool and my oldest is using masterbooks. I have looked into TGTB but i know it wont work for my kiddos. My cousin did use it for her daughter tho and loved it.
Hi! I was wondering if you plan on using Gather Round’s ready to read with your kindergartners again? That program looks so interesting but I don’t see many UA-camrs using it.
Will you kindergartener also be joining in on the peaceful press? Debating about doing playful pioneers for next year with my 6 &4 yr old. Along with TGTB for LA/reading/spelling and math.
Hey mama! Off topic but I cannot find the video where you shared your favorite company for dresses and clothes. I desperately need some new well made items and I remembered how much you liked that brand but I don’t know what it is?
Hi all, Thanks Christina for your amazing work here and on instagram 👏🏼 this channel has helped our first year of homeschool SO MUCH! wondering if anyone can recommend a good Easter curriculum. I’ve used Gather Round in the past, but looking for other options for a 7 yo. Thank you in advance!
