Hii, I'm one of the devs behind the distant landmarks (specifically the Midwest Tower, SMART Array, Greenway Wind Farm, and Big Stop sign). I also made most of the new clutter and architecture assets such as the beavers and buildings in Dolan Springs (the latter are all directly modeled after real buildings in the town you can see on Google Maps). I really appreciate that you took the time to notice the details we've added and covered so many of them in this video!! Even though we're a very small team of volunteers we've been committed to following a design process that closely emulates how we believe Obsidian designed New Vegas (but also utilizing modern hardware and our superior engine knowledge), and we're all very happy with how well it has paid off so far. We've extended our ambitions for the worldspace a couple times before but now it has hit the limit of where the vanilla physics engine will function. Going forward there isn't a lot left to do beyond finishing our narrative content. We have extensive concepts drafted for all of the remaining quests so if you've enjoyed the ones that are already implemented I think you are in for a treat when the mod is finished!
Amazing to hear, thank you for the information and work put into this. I'm very excited for future iterations and eventually the final release with VA. You guys are helping keep this game alive and the dedication to Obsidians vision is awesome. If anyone on the team is an aspiring game developer, I hope this mod helps add to your/their portfolio and pays off in the end.
Nova is awesome. Those devs really care, and I’ve worked with them quite a bit. I highly recommend pairing all the big newer Legion mods together like you mentioned, creating a much more full “New Vegas+” experience!
I'm the guy that made some of the new billboards for Nova Arizona like the Bid Dog for Dolan Springs and I remember having to illustrate an entirely new Sonoran Dog just for the billboard, the dev team goes at great lengths on adhering to the New Vegas standards of how painfully accurate it is to real life, be it the worldspace or a hot dog on a billboard, it's great that you focused on the work the team put into the little details.
Nova Arizona seems such a cool mod! Hope the devs keep updating it 🙏 The first mod is a joke reference for an adult swim show called "Mr. Pickles", and is basically what you described, a devil dog
One of the Nova Arizona Dev's peaking in, thanks for checking out the update! I worked on most of the uniques along side my good friend SillyVladek who done the textures for me and happy to see some of them in use, along side the kNVSE patch I made for them. Hope you're enjoying them since we have put a lot of into them trying to keep inline with the base game uniques while also being something cool on their own. Frankly it's such an amazing project that I am happy to be working on and expanding on the unique weapon selection, filling niche's the base game didn't have.
Yes I forgot to mention the kNVSE patch, I'll add that to the description links shortly. Thank you for the excellent work and commenting, think 3 of the devs have posted so far which I love.
Thank you so much for the continuing coverage on Nova Arizona! Hope you stick with it, I don't see many else discussing it at your level of quality. Cheers!
I'm extremely picky with my mods, but your modlist looks like a definitive "remaster" if FNV ever did get one, I know for a fact a Bethesda created remake wouldn't come close, not even remotely lol
lol I sadly think you’re right on their remake ability. Following VNV or TBoT mod lists, then adding to them slowly is the best way to get a heavily modded yet relatively stable experience.
I actually never completed the main storyline of New Vegas? Why? Because my choice would have been any of those alternatives that would have left me in bad relations with Legion. However, deep inside, even ten years ago, I had this lingering feeling that would be short sighted given the time. And oh boy was my feeling correct! I did not want to drift into hostilities with NCR either. I thought mods etc could possibly offer me similar quests and new lands mods about New California too.
Finally. Can't wait to play this. Just need one for the West. The North, about to Area 51, could be cool. South to Needles/Fort Mohave/Bullhead area would be a good place to expand to.
@nvRanger Bullhead is also right across the river from Needles and Fort Mohave. It would make a great location for NCR-Legion war based quests. Give players a chance to gain a little ground on both sides. Also, Bullhead has a sports stadium. Colloseum?
I'll have you know I slaved away for an entire TWO AFTERNOONS on Shadow Over Goodsprings! It's a masterpiece! You hear me? A masterpiece! EDIT: /s in case anyone takes this seriously. Don't take my posts or my holiday mods seriously. Love the channel, BTW.
@@nvRanger Nah, you just can't spell. That's hardly dishonorable. ;) Seriously, your Desert Ranger video that led with S.C. Gwynne grabbed my attention. I'm a Texan who loves Texas history, and Gwynne's work is certainly an influence for me when writing more serious mods. Also, don't pull punches if you don't like something I put out there. Hell, I don't like half my mods, and I appreciate any constructive criticism I can get. Thank you for reviewing my content!

Great stuff! I would be totally happy if there were not just new mods but also, that some of the greatest of the lost mods could be recovered! Such as those made by Random411.
I do see a resurgence of mods that aim to recreate old project such as Zion Trail which has ben fixed up multiple times now. The New Vegas modding scene is alive and well.
@@nvRanger Zion Trail looked absolutely awesome! Will try that someday. I was also able to find and recover Darkwood Falls from basedmods but have been unable to find Unholy Lands which is a darn shame. Nexusmods should have a backup just in case something happens to any of its modders of mods.
@@nvRanger Wait! I just found (and downloaded) Unholy Lands from Mediafire. I think mods by Random411 are just as much worth playing as the equally awesome mods in Nexusmods such as Zion Trail. Seems like Random411s legacy can be rebuilt to a large extent after all.
@@nvRanger Drat! I just realized we better download and store somewhere other mods too such as New Vegas Bounties series. I dread what would happen to those mods if Nexusmods failed us....because it seems the author of New Vegas Bounties is no longer available for us.

How do you get ur game to run so smoothly, I’ve got my game modded and I’m at like 20-30 fps depending on what area of the map I’m at, would getting a new graphics card improve the performance? I’d just be happy to get a solid 50-60 fps constant
it may be that, but I am not sure what you are running. I would follow the Viva New Vegas setup guide and perforance guide. New Vegas is also just and old and janky game, so you might be able to squeexe more perforance out of it with the right mods/setup
Nova Arizona is gonna be a beast when it's finished, and i'm very glad that it's not purely for Legion players, because if it was, i'd be SOL about 66% of the time i play New Vegas, since i vary between a Good, Neutral and Evil run.
