ONCE UPON A TIME IN ANATOLIA
Turkey’s pre-eminent auteur Nuri Bilge Ceylan took home the Grand Prix prize from the Cannes Film Festival with this hypnotic, slow-burning neo-noir. In Ceylan’s trademark visual rhythms, mysteries stack upon mysteries in an enigmatic journey through a landscape, a murder, and a chiaroscuro night.
In the dead of night, a police commissioner, a prosecutor, a doctor and a murder suspect drive through the tenebrous Anatolian countryside. They are searching for a corpse, the victim of a brutal murder. As the night draws on, the investigators’ own secrets and hypocrisies come to light.

Haha, this was very similar to what I was going to write. I'm waiting patiently for Ceylan's next film.

Masterful sound design. Perhaps doing more work than the camera.

3:31 the Arab says that because the animal eats fresh meat, it smells of yogurt, but cows / buffaloes do not eat meat, is this a mistake or done on purpose?

@@milanxlewis They speak Turkish, and he says, buffalo eats fresh meat, or so it appears because the voices overlap..
