    I almost never comment on videos but I don't understand why most of these youtube videos do not have the actual replacement...taking apart, step by step, and reinstalling. Not all of us are tech savvy...argh. I got quoted $220 to fix my LCD screen.

    @serg tech Thanks to you, I manage to swap the entire motherboard and charging port with a flex cable. I swapped Exynos MOB with SD one and it works great!

      Agreed I would like to see the heating of the LCD screen especially with a heat gun. Do you use same temperature and prying tools etc? I have a cracked glass and don't want to buy a full LCD.

      I disagree with you he clearly States how to remove the front of the phone at 3:40 in the video. There was no need for him to remove it to show the rest of the phone's tear down because there is nothing under it. You need you not miss lead others with your comments.

      @@everettmcgee1060 I think so, because there are a few wires that he disconnected from the motherboard that are attached to the front LCD panel... If you didn't remove them from the back, I'm guessing you couldn't disconnect/reconnect them only from the front

      Who sells the cheapest grade A digitizer+frame? What's the difference between grade A and C. Is C complete shit? Repair guy wants $350cad so I figure if do it myself since I'm a auto mechanic and pretty decent with my hands

      The LCD and Digitizer are laminated together. You can't feasibly separate the two without damaging one or the other. Hence why they just replace the entire display/digitizer housing.

    Thank you very much for the quick disassembly, Ill need to replace the screen of my phone unfortunately. I haven't checked the average pricing tough, I am sure its much cheaper for me to do it myself since its not too much different from disassembling a mini laptop.

      I think the front glass and LCD display are connected.

      To say replacing just the front glass is hard is an understatement..... it is fully adhered to the digitizer and as such is almost impossible to remove without breaking the digitizer and OLED screen...it sucks, but it's the truth...

    If you use heat fan what should be Temperature? I used 150 and broken my back panel. adhasive layer very wide. Plastic tools just broken my back panel

    Ok I have a funny curve ball here: my screen is broken at the top, preventing me from turning off the phone. I have tried the power and volume down trick but it only restarts the phone. I'm just waiting for it to die naturally right now but would appreciate any advice.

    I have trouble removing my s9 plus' back glass the adhesive doesn't budge and its so hot it burns to touch.

      I am having this exact same problem, using my heat gun and phone is blistering to the touch and it will not move at all when i use the suction. what am i missing?!

      More heat. I find that 120 - 135 C is more ideal. Take your time this is the most difficult part.

    You missed a bunch of stuff up top like mini battery and Led indicators. Might want to tighten your vod up a bit. It's not a complete breakdown, it's 85%.

    I don't like to criticize but to open it (separate the glass from the back) the Guitar Picks are much more comfortable than plastic blades and plastic openers. Only with the beginning I imagined that I would see more errors later and I was not mistaken, I did not want to continue watching the rest of the video from minute 4:17 where you do it with the cell in your hand not supporting it on the work table, that is unprofessional, I imagine I would see more errors and I did not want to continue. Sorry but if you upload a video it must be done correctly so that other people can do it in the safest way.

      Lol I really don't see how people damage their phones. Carelessness I guess. I did send in my Samsung phone to Samsung repair because my camera was so muddy. They said they replaced lcd and replaced component and something about the camera but it was how it came!! Nothing I did. I think some of them are defected.
