1:39 *Has an insane amount of tools*
Also Jeff : Didnt have spare tape lying around
@@rinaldslibeks1592 ofc he can't afford tape, when he bought the tools.
Had nothing to do with affording he just didn't happen to have any at the time...
It wasn't in the ifixit pro tool repair kit from 80$ that he got for free from ifixit

it's actually hugh, not jeff

Just watching him repair phones makes me want to do this as well
You should do it, it’s not actually too hard after your first repair, a good way is to practice with a doner phone (probably iCloud locked or something) and take off every part and put it back together
A A me too, its so fun, and its thanks to him!
@A A Yeah, I dont end up making much $ on the broken phones. I probably loose money becuase of getting scammed
A A well one time, i bought a 6s that had no power and I specifically asked the seller if it was water damged and icloud status. He said no water had gotten in and icloud was removed. When I opened it it was all corroded. It was everywhere lol. And a iphone 7 for $40, i asked the seller if it was stolen icloud status etc. and he said he knew nothing about it. And after wards i asked him if i could chat with the previous owner because it was stolen. And he said all he knew was that it was passcode locked. Didnt admit it till after I bought :(
@@ryansumner3662 Try buying from eBay, usually items will have a 30-day return policy and that way if the iPhone isn't the way it was advertised, you can always return it and get your money back.

lmfao
AMBEE 2772 you deserve an award

Hahahahahahahahahaha! If Jerry Rigs then Jeffrey fixes?! Hahahahahahahahahaha! OMG! Hahahahahahahahahaha! You're so witty! 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
😁
Nice job like always, a perfectly functioning phone saved from landfill.
What landfill?😂 Ebay!🧢
It's essentially a new device with some bits from the original phone carried over.
Dude this design is really BEAUTIFUL
hope to one day see you using soldering on really messed up phones!
8:30 they won't charge but the s10(+) won't even boot without that wireless charging pad
Vietnam flashbacks intensify
S10 is trash
@@rodolfotsang4327 please explain
@@rodolfotsang4327 one of the best phones in early 2019 is trash apparently
@@veekay_t Seems like it. I have the S10+ and it is awesome.

He got screwed
Other people when their phone is broken: just throw it away it’s broken anyway
Hugh: why throw it away when you can repair it?
I collect phones and I am going to be reparing an Motorola since part of the screen doesn't work
unfortunately all the parts used in this video are more expensive than this phone itself
Ok but who actually throws their phone away that’s so wasteful
BodziuM and impossible to find online without getting scammed
@@zackbritton4446 they do not throw it away. In the U.S the Companies have insurence that people can pay for each month and if the phone break just pay 30 to 40 dollars and you will get a new phone but you have to give the old one back to the company.
Good job Hugh. Cellphones are an individuals most important possession and so it makes a lot of sense to be able to repair these essential and very expensive devices.
Use hot air to remove the components that are held with adhesive. Like the speaker, or the Copper foil. Don't just rip them apart. Otherwise you have done a great job
MirceaD28 yeah you are in no position to tell him how to do what he does, nice try tho
@@BobStone85 feck off, bet you aren't either
Bob Stone ok really
Bob Stone it’s called advice
I work on Samsung devices for their warranty repairs, hot air will help but honestly not necessary if cautious. Samsung has us just replace most of those parts but you can carefully transfer the copper foil. Main issue not addressed, unless I missed it, is using the *#0*# to test everything after the repair. Samsung gives us programs to test the devices, but I don’t know if it’s open to the public. If it’s not your best bet is using the *#0*# to open a menu. Verizon Cartier phones can run into issues with this menu however there are work arounds for that, I just don’t know if it’s open to the public.
Your repairing videos are too comforting and mesmerising. Just love your channel.
Your videos feel therapeutic in this kind of climate. Thank you so much.
Your videos are so satisfying to watch. Also S8 & S9 are my favorite phones.
@Arshiya 123 you're right these models are more fragile compared to previous models. Expansive displays almost half the price of mobile but there are curved screen protectors available just a bit expansive. I used S8 plus with original soft back cover, and curved glass screen protector for barely a month before someone else liked it and stole it from me 🤥
i really dont know why im so fascinated with this kind of videos❤️
Thank you for this video! Helped me so much, you are great at explaining and showing what exactly your doing!
Love the videos man. You’re very intelligent!
You are truly the best I most enjoy your Samsung videos please keep them coming I like them all and you have officially earned my subscription🤩
Dont know why but i found your repair videos very relaxing... Its sort of a therapy to me... Nice vidoe btw
I wanna see those s10’s repaired Hugh Jeffreys, Nice job btw
Micky R YES a S10 would be quite interesting to see
I repaired my brother's s10e and it wasn't that difficult. I may also change the battery on my s10e because it has degraded a bit
I just changed out the battery in my S9. It had bulged and separated the back from the frame...which made it easy to take the back off. It was easy, EXCEPT, the adhesive. The majority of my battery replacement effort was cleaning the old adhesive off. I got an iFixit S9 battery tool set and seals and that made the battery replacement effort easier. I watched this video to get an idea of the process, then spent 90 minutes doing the job...mostly scraping and cleaning with isopropyl alcohol. Thanks for producing your videos on UA-cam, they have encouraged me to repair my own phone.
I always waiting for your uploads as i had watched your entire vault please keep uploading
This is amazing work Hugh.
Hi Hugh quick tip for testing in the future, type *#0*# in the keypad for a better way to test things!
Good job! Ur the best at repairing phones!!! Also I was watching this and I got an ifixit ad!
I always waiting for your upload. keep up
Hugh I fix phones everyday I own a tech store I see this all the time yet I see a repair vid I watch it 👌🏽
Another great video from an amazing youtuber keep making these amazing videos Hugh 😁
As always, nice job Hugh!
You always have the best cell phone repair videos.Hope you get to 1 mil
We want more restorations of android smartphones like this.
Used your video and the ifixit guide to do a frame swap. Working fine thanks Hugh.
Samsung told me off for having a glass screen protector. They said it would over heat my phone
They are weird lol.
To be fair, samsung uses the screen to dissipate heat as well. The logic is there, but... it doesn't matter.
Tempered glass screen protectors are daunting because the adhesive are only on the edges due to the curved screen, obviously.
Wow you won't believe it, few years ago my Xiaomi Mi 4 LCD panel failed and went black, the front glass was fine but the protector was chipped and cracked, I sent it for warranty the way it was and they changed my lcd, and installed a new glass protector! Funny thing is, the same happened to a friend and he removed his cracked protector and sent it, didn't get a new protector from them lol. Btw as the heat pipes are connected to the display, a protector does have a effect on cooling but that must be ever so slightly...
Yeah, stupid curved edges on samsung . The protective case picks the screen up and it always shows some air bubbles. I never had this problem with my old sony phone
Watching on my Coral Blue S9+ ❤️😍
Me too.
Love the new intro. The tone of the old one was really ominous lol.
These videos makes me relaxed
It's so satisfying to watch. Amazing
Your videos are just a masterpiece😍
One of the best part of Hugh Jeffreys’ videos is the way he speaks with such fluency! Whether he reads the script or speaks as it is, it’s still impressive!
Thanks for you kind words.
Most of what I say in my videos is just off the top of my head. I only really script what to say at the very beginning and end.
I usually don't subscribe to any youtube channel but this guy is impressive and definitely helpful to many people out there. I broke three phones (just screens) and I threw it all away haha.
I like seeing some androids on the channel I'm loving my s10 been rocking it since March 2019 and its awesome
For me the way you repair smartphones is satisfying.
I love how he talks like we are actually going to be doing this 😂
Manta -.- Talks or teaches? What do you want him to do? Put wanking sounds as hes fixing the phone?
this phone looks really good after the repair. good job :)

Damn looks good as new. I hope all who repairs phone around the world. Will be passionate and works patiently and take it's time to perfect it's repair. Hand down to you sir.
thanks body. I need this video too much ❤️
Awesome. You are the best
Thanks to this guy, repaired my coral blue Galaxy S9 Plus. My first course of action was to get a hair dryer and soften the adhesive until it was removable. I cut into it and took the back off being mindful of the finger print reader. After cleaning all of the adhesive off, I went into the phone and stripped the entire thing to replace the USB circuit and the battery. After putting a new back panel on, The phone worked like new.
you deserve more subs
Makes me really miss my s9..omg
Jimmy tools are essential when taking a display held on by adhesive. I use plastic razor blades.
Always Great videos❗️👍✅
Very thorough!
Great work 💪
hey guys welcome back.!
you are so good!!
ur videos are like therapy lol
I always enjoy it when you fix phones😁
Dae ye aye
@@steffjack9798 yeah?
I love Verizon for making 4G phones unlocked (and with many bands to play with in other countries), at the cost of so much bloatware. Great video.
Assuming the phone was still fast charging, you made quite a bit of extra work removing the sub-pba separately. Also have mad respect for you as if it was this hard at my day job repairing Samsungs I would have lost my mind.
I am watching this on my s9 plus so that i can have some idea in case my phone got issues thank you.
That my dream phone right there. It's even my favorite color
These are relaxing
Very nice job.
I just fixed my s10e back glass bought it from Ifixit and couldn't be happier 😋😋😋
He legit fixed everything
You Are the best repair man I've ever known😊
How dare you assume they’re gender
He might identify as a kettle
I meant Hugh Jeffrey
I hope you do a Galaxy Note9 repair in the future. Thanks! 😊
In the removal of small components on the old frame ,, you can use falcon. It reduce the damages of removable parts.
Not one for gaudy colors, that's a nice looking Samsung. Nice work.
Hugh Jefferys try looking at the whitestone dome glass screen protector. It has adhesive for the whole screen. I currently use one on my note 9
Nice work
Nice repair
Why do people who break phones have over a million subs while Hugh who repair those broken phones get only 358k subs.Hope you reach a million subs man.
good work .. and i have a question about S9 screen flickering and brightness problem are you know issue for this problem ? thank's
Good job 👍😀
I've always wondered with this amount of repair whether the phone is now better, worse, or just how it was! I'm happy to just switch out my phone every 2 years, but to each their own!
Great video Hugh. But if you cannot get all the parts you want from ifixit, do you have other suggestions for parts suppliers?
