In this video I show how to replace just only the cracked glass on the Samsung Galaxy S9 cell phone. I show 3 how to remove the glass on 3 cracked cell phones. It does take some skill to do this with the right equipment, but for anyone out there that is interested in learning this, the competition for glass only repair on Samsung phones is very low. Almost non existent.

replacing my glass with a 15 dollar screen, but you do need like a few thousand dollar machine....
Whas about to say the same!
Sounds to make like a tire shop that needs machines and tools, but they make the money back pretty easy and quick🤷🏻♂️ All businesses needs tools and machine, your comment is very dumb and stupid
@@MiguelAlvarezAdams it is not.... depending on the context you are watching this vid. If the video is saying only cost 15 dollars but you need machines like that then clearly it doesn't. Again context of how you watch it matters.
@@MiguelAlvarezAdams Yeah I think the point this guy is making is many viewers are coming to this video for "how to repair your own phone yourself for $15" where this video is actually "How I repair your phone for you for $175 with a $15 screen and all of my business's equipment and mats"
@@MiguelAlvarezAdams your comment isn't dumb and stupid its you...
The moment when a regular person cannot replace screen anymore. You did a great job. Congrats
👍
Thank you bro this video was what I needed I just spent 7 grand on the freezer, bubble machine and lamantor and hot plate machine. I have everything but had not clue were to start and I damaged a few screens.
Any chance you have the same process video on doing iPhone screens ?
Thanks again you save me
Rob
WOW! Good show! You sure make it look easy. Now, is there any way to replace my broken screen in the kitchen?? 😀
Music too loud btw
Awesome work. I love that some people are not afraid to show how you do your stuff! Thats gives me confidence you know what you are doing. I have a lightly cracked S9+ - If I was was anywhere near, and was considering a repair, I would deffinetely come to you :)
And yes, 15 USD Glass - but you need to add the knowledge you had to accquire, and the rigth tools. I actually think 170 USD is a fair price for repairing it - maybe the phone no longer is worth it, but that's another story :)
Very Good video and of course,
I have all the specialist equipment you have for home repair !!
Good information but who has this equipment at home. Plus you didn't say where to purchase the replacement glass.
You can get it on Ebay- I saw they sell it with the kit
This guy is way to proud of his watch. Good indication don't follow what this guy does if you want your screen to work afterwards 😉
No shortage of HATERS. Thats you. You now will see my videos in your recommendations. 😘😘
15$!! damn that's without the machines, the freezer, the tools and the skills
amazing!
Yea. Just like changing a tire. Just lift up the car with one arm, the other hand unscrew the lug nuts with your fingers, toss the tire to the side, slap on the other tire and throw down the car.
@@RichardMeza You forgot the step on hand tightening the lug nuts after. Wouldn't want that wheel overtaking you.
Great video!! I'm wondering what temperature is the hot place at?
Not ganna lie though, i like a cheap fix but honestly I would PERSONALLY rather take it apart completely with a solid tutorial guide, but that's just because I like a challenge and learning something new. I think this method is pretty solid for someone who has experience but there are SOOO many instances where the wrong twitch could turn that cracked glass into a completely shot display or a punctured battery and I dunno if you've ever seen what happens to Lithium when it's exposed to air. Lol
Amazing man I really want to get in to this dose your online training cover this
Is black spot/bleeding screen still sign for just glass repair or more than that?
Boom? I believe the word is,
booyah!
Inspiring video Richard keep up the great work and thank you.
Thank you!
Hello Richard,
Great Job today very informative and nice video!
Kind request:
Could you do a Video on only using the cutting line on the whole screen, Especially on those OLED panels, and use LOQA!
Thank you!
I'll work on one in the coming weeks.
very thorough
VERY NICE GOOD JOB
I saw in your course you offer Samsung glass and screen repair. Will you include other Samsung repairs ?
nice work. got a question what if the display has a tiny little black spot (dead pixels) can it be fixed without replacing the display?
If you have dead pixels, the glass only replacement is a no go. You need to replace the entire screen.
What kind of freezer is that you use Richard i've never seen one like that i don't repair phone but it enjoyable to watch you.
Its linked in the description
interesting... can you tell hot its possible phone is not sliding on this heating device ??
When do we get to see a shop tour. It looks pretty laid out in there.
30:15 this guy has a nerve, I don't own any of this equipment "$15" more like $5000
That was my thought exactly too lol
Hi I am subscribed to your channel watch most of your videos I have a Galaxy S8 screen cracked but the phone is still working but it needs a new screen replaced can you supply a new screen also the screen is taken off if you put connection into the bottom linked to a mouse can I walk the screen you didn't before I replace the glass new screen
I dont supply parts. I dont sell screens.
I had a crack on the curved edge near the top, and on starting it, it only displays the very top with a straight line accross. The bottom part has turned fluorescent greenish with intermittent flickering display which is unreadable. Is it irreparable, is the copper looking board behind glass irreparable? Great work anyway👍.
Yes it's repairable. You just need to replace the whole screen. The glass and oled display. Everything will work back to normal after the screen is replaced.
Where do you get your screen replacements?
Nice video
Very informative . Thumbs Up sir 👍👍👍
Hello Richard, can we repair another Models with Freezer? I mean i can s8 s8 plus and note8 and i see now your Video.
I wish someone did this service by me, this is exactly what I need
Thanks for the video. Great info- I search up the machine--quite some buck but look like the debubble is not included in thee laminate like how your machine has it. :( I like the video anyway
Awesome to watch and to learn something new
Boom!!!
Are refurbished phones as good as new? Still waterproof?
Not sure. Probably not. Generally that's not a feature that people care about when buying a phone though. If someone wants to buy an iPhone, they like the brand. Same thing with Samsung. Waterproofing wears off through time and the phone experiencing different seasons and temperatures.
I think it is important to Specify to Use ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL and not just regular rubbing alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol is generally safe for use with electronics but other stuff has to much water content and becomes corrosive.
By any chance did you leave a phone in a photobooth outside Onami before? I could be totally wrong but I remember grabbing it for someone who called and they gave me a business card but I don't remember which cell phone repair shop. This was a while back lol. Great video!
You deserve all the money you charge to fix the phone straight up
Thanks for taking the time to explain how a pro does it, I really appreciate that you share your knowledge.
Can you tell me what temperature you are using when you are heating up the display with your hot plate?
Btw it's sometimes a bit difficult to understand you because of the loud music, especially around minute 16.
But still great content keep on :)
I actually would freeze off the glass. Didn't use a hotplate but I stopped refurbishing myself. I outsource the refurbishing now.
@@RichardMeza he didnt ask you that and we sat right here and watched you use a hot plate. Just give the guy the damn number he is asking for.
Where's can i buy this practice lcd?!
If you are fixing your own phone, buy it from Amazon
Hey Richard your videos are always amazing. I do have a question. If the customer comes in and has a phone that has the black spots, Do you just replace the whole thing with or without frame?
Without frame. Since the display screen part is cheaper to buy. Also when you buy them that way, you dont have to match the color of the frames. Use the customers original frame to put the screen back in. That way you carry less in inventory but always have parts in stock. You will lose customers if you cannot fix their phones right there when they ask. They will go somewhere who has them in stock.
@@RichardMeza Thank you so much for your reply. also how much more should I charge since is not just glass repair?
Are your weird bent fingers (esp right index - like one of John waynes bendy legs) a result of doing these phones?
Your life is miserable. Try and enjoy something
Amazing to watch
What temperature was the hot plate at?
Good to see you back from vacations and doing this great videos, one question, I’m thinking to buy the K6-edge, do you recommend it? I have the freezer already but I just can’t decide which laminator to buy.
K6 Edge Pro is the newer stronger model. Vacuum is stronger. That wasnt out when I bought the K6 Edge.
That's a nice watch ⌚ where did you get it. Thanks 😊
Can be used in phones
loca glue in the s10+ s10 not10 not10+

Dont recommend Loca for S10 series because of the front selfie camera hole.

Can I use regular freezer? And do I have to take the battery off? Thanks
Regular home freezer wont work. Not cold enough.
So what kind of freezer were you using

are they plug sockets in the middle of your floor ? 10:42
What is the reason to have them in the middle of the room?
Isn't it a rick of tripping over ?
Master
👍👍 Where you from?
What about replacing the rear LCD adhesive? Do you do that, or just clean it up with IPA and then add some generic adhesive.
Clean up the back and use your own adhesive when it's time to use it on someone else's phone.
What if I can't do nothing with the top of my phone not cracked at top just wont pull down can it be fixed both front n back is kind of bad no coler difference just a line across one spot
Your display screen is damaged and needs to be changed out. Both the glass and the Oled display need to be changed. The touch comes from the Oled display, that's what the line comes from and can't touch the top of the screen.
I am pretty certain that the de-bubbler uses a vacuum, not positive pressure. If so then you must release the vacuum, not the pressure.
hallo pro ,,,if i sent you my wife phone will you repair it pls...
i broken my Galaxy s9 today my screen is messed up a little but the display is working perfectly for how mush it can be repaired btw thanks you very mush

Thx for info. Just a suggestion, your video could be edited to 1/2 the time. It's too long.
My digitiser need replacing as well I don't know how to do
good work .. put i have problem in s9 screen flickering
Your display is damaged. You cannot do glass only repair on it. Have to replace the whole screen.
@@RichardMeza When I press the power button and the screen turns on, green lines appear at the top and bottom of the screen and in the middle it remains black and if I try to show the image normally on the screen I need to press the power button and leave the phone for five or ten seconds and after that I try again and press the power button again so the screen works Correctly and at some times when the screen works, the image appears clear, but in faded or changing colors, and I have tried all of the many methods previously, but the most reduced way a little from this is the activation of the always-on visibility feature, but even after turning on this feature, the problem remains during calls when placing the phone On The ear turns off the screen, and when you lift it off the ear quickly, the same problem appears green lines on the top, bottom and middle of the black.
@@basemban1 You need to replace the display and glass.
Can i replace the screen without taking the back side off?
No.
Hey I was wondering if a regular freezer would work?
Probably not, he showed that the freezer he used got down to -140c, ordinary freezers don't get nearly that low, but a block of dry ice does 😉
Great video as always - question, anti-static mat for phone repairs? Notice you don’t use, would love to know your thoughts on it.
Good job with success
Can the glass be separated without removing the screen?
Especially s9
Yes it can. That's called inframe method. I used to always do it that way using Loca glue but I switched over to out of frame method. It's a longer process but better results. I use my own swap out method and use appointments alot now.
Hell Mr. Meza is that the same process for the S9 plus
Yes, but I don't use this method anymore.
@@RichardMeza I meant to say hello not hell

The correct name for the debubbler is a vacuum chamber, as always thanks for sharing bro 😎👍🏻
👍
Well its an autoclave heat plus vacuum
Great video
👍
And 2 weeks later small black dots started to appear on the displays....
Is there any other way to get the bubbles out if one doesn't have those machines.
Not that I know of. The machine sucks the bubbles out.
What liquid are you using to remove the lcd from the frame?
Just regular 91% alcohol that you can buy at the grocery store. CVS has it as well.
I have a very important question for mr. Meza,
When you change glass only on samsung s9 using lamination not loca glue, is it still IP68 waterproof as it was originaly, please give me feedback on this
No
Is there any method to be waterproof again?
@@soldieroffortune6508 No. Have to pick whats more important. Waterproof which its most likely not anyways by it being broken. Or having a repaired phone.
@@RichardMeza thank you for your answer, so anyways, once the screen is broken it can never again be waterproof
@@soldieroffortune6508 The question has been answered twice already.
Is the glass Corning gorilla glass?
What a process looks like its time to upgrade lol.
Freezer doesn’t work well with s9,+ . It fails a lot. What do you think about it?
Works the same as the regular S9. No difference. But the Note 9 it doesn't work well. I dont recommend it for the Note 9.
Does the freezer work with Note 8?
you didnt explain the reason for the sticky tape around the phones when they are in the freezer.
What is the temperature in the freezer. Thx.
Negative 145 degrees Celsius
How can I get the screens
Is this only for s9 or does it work with s9+ as well?
Lol
Yeah you're right it does cost only $15 but you forget to mention that use about three grand worth of equipment
Why are the screens you put in the freezer back in the frame, I thought you only left one of them in the frame?
I took all of them out of the frame, then put them back in the frame for glass freezer separation so when the glass comes off, the display screens just fall out of the frame easy. I show it right in the video. That way there is no struggling with original frame adhesive afterwards.
I like your watch please what can of watch is it
What's up @richardmeza I watch all of your videos and I'm going to order your training but I would like to link up
Which questions did you have?
@@RichardMeza well I have a general understanding of what's going on but I'm going to be in your town in about a week and would like to link up
I was using freezer and glass not come off I try -150 -160 about 15min still not come off, for samsung s9 is fine but for samsung s9plus not
Hey, can I send mine in to you?
sandiegocellphonerepair.com
How much is a freezer? Will dry ice block work on s9?
Dry ice will not work wih Samsung Amoled screens. It doesn't get the screens cold enough
@@RichardMeza how cold does it need to be -200 C is the liquid nitorgen temperature right?
I don't understand how using a $15 glass, ends up costing $170. I have a cracked screen S9+ that I bought used on Ebay, with cracked screen, and I got the screen replacement kit for like $20, so my new to me phone cost a little less than $125 total, so why in anything would I pay $170 way more than phone to get cracked screen fixed? I'm gonna do it myself, save hella bunch of cash!
How mush does it cost for the debubbler?
I bought this 2 in 1 machine about 2 years ago. I can't remember exactly how much I paid for it. I think $1,700 USD.
Whats the song called
What song? At what timestamp?
Hi ,Will there be bubbles on the display ?
If you know what you are doing, no.
Richard Meza I am also doing LCD screen refurbishment, but the s9 series freeze separation is not ideal. Now use copper wire to separate the LCD screen,
@@new138abcchen3 Yes, that works too. The S9 works with the freezer and can also do out of frame with wire method. Can do it both ways. The wire method takes more skill to do.
That watch is HUGE!!
Can you do this with iPhones?
iPhone refurbishing is not done with a freezer. Those are flat screen phones. You can do them with the hot plate and wire method.
What's the point the laminating machine has to be expensive!
How is this glass only? You replaced the entire screen and I'm pretty sure it would have cost more than $15.
I showed glass only in this video. This out of frame technique is a more advanced way of glass only repair. As I showed in the video, I re-used the same original display screen. Only changed out the broken glass. Reglued another new piece of glass on there. There is an out of frame and an inframe way of doing it. This is out of frame. The difference is the quality of refurbishing the screen. Nicer job. Glass costs $15. The rest was labor and skill.
@@RichardMeza Fair comment. I must have not been paying attention. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Are U Braga's brother?
is the equipment 15$ ??? funny video btw
