    Coach Rob was genuinely happy with that racquet. Nice job Harry.

    I agree with Harry here about the weight. Even though it is a heavy stick, as long as you get your feet right, the racket will carry you. The weight ensures that even if you get tired, the racket will not. Believe me, I've hit with enough sticks over the years and a light racket will let you down in the end. As long as you have decent fundamentals the RF is perfectly fine for club use.

    Love to see the red/black RF97. I've picked a pair up last month and have been playing my best tennis with it so far. This thing shoots very heavy balls with 5g of lead on the head and a static weight of 373g. Volleys are sublime on this racket.

    Harry you must be a very nice guy!
    Surrounded by people who appear to be impeccable like your good friend Rob and others reinforce what I say.

    I have the first model in 4 1/2. It's strung to the recommended tension with Wilson's champions choice with the gut in the mains. I use the white-wilson overgrips now but I really wish I could find the excellent kinds of leather grips available from back in the day. I don't remember the brand but my wood Slazenger had the best grip I've ever used. I don't recall if it was the stock leather grip. It could well have been an aftermarket one. That leather did not bleed die like the crappie new ones do. It lasted the life of the racket too. I used the old Ivan Lendl method to keep it dry& tacky by using sawdust. One unusual characteristic was that it had a raised "bead" portion that spiraled around the grip. I know Fairway used to make good grips but I don't know what you might suggest today. I also would like to change the grip shape on my racquet. I've always been preferential to the way that wood Slazenger grip was shaped. I fiddled with old racquets trying to mimic that shape with limited success. I had considered sending it to a professional service to have it done however that's cost-prohibitive. Any advice you could give me would be welcome. ☮️

      Fairway is still the best.

    Hey Harry! Could you maybe do a video about stringalings? Spelling may be an issue. I would love to see the explanation of what they do, and how to use!

    "flat side", "round size". what exactly are you referring to? Is it the butt cap where the overgrip starts? Thanks.

    • @ryan_hayes
      @ryan_hayes Рік тому

      Yes he is referring to the butt cap and how it feels at the very bottom of the grip that you hold. When you put a under grip and then an over grip it leaves one side more flat than the other that you should be able to notice when the racket is in your hand.

    Would I be able to do this if I had my brand new RF 97 racquet only strung once?

  • @winniecarl
    @winniecarl Рік тому

    Should be 59lb mains 57lb crosses (Fed Spec), V11 is the best version, my spec is 368g, 315mm balance, 69lb mains 67lb crosses, and I'm 6ft and 210lb.

      Yess......even i have a V11, 2016, all black version of RF97. So this red & black version has to be V10.

    Where’s the step by step customisation your video description claims to show; and proof of spec check? There’s nothing in your previous videos that evidences anything but laughable “customisation” methods.

    How do you know he holds the racquet one way? Did you ask him for that? @17:06 you need to confirm that with him. If you watch close up when he play he always shuffles his racquet most of the time in between shots. Its impossible his holding the racquet one way. Come on 🤦🏻‍♂️
