Yes this plane flies quite well with 3S easy to see its bigger sister the Challenger 59" is great. Shows up as well in the sky as anything I have flown
RCINFORMER I know the PnP does. I’m assuming the ARF doesn’t. I found the info on RCgroups, says it’s a Sunnysky 2820 1100kv spinning a 12x6.5 prop. 40A esc, 46” wingspan.

@@gewglesux Simple. .12 years ago I faced 3 issues. 1) The ever increasing cost of glow fuel. 2) More severe noise regulations imposed on us by local Government as the city's population increased and housing spread out. At the time, for me to continue to fly using glow engines would have meant having to travel to the next towns club flying site, a lot further away. They don't have those noise restrictions as their field is out in a rural.area. (Plus It is approx 63 miles or 100 kms, one way for me to travel to that site. So throw in the cost of gas for the road trip as well.) 🙂 3) My garage, where I kept my "fleet" of models was broken into and all of my planes were stolen. So when I got my insurance check I started again with E.P. models. Since then, my local club finally had to move sites and some of my fellow members have moved to using auto gasoline, spark ignition engines. But since I had already transitioned to EP and disposed of my old glow stock, I could not see the point in buying new glow or spark ignition engines plus all the other pariphernalia required to operate them.🙂
@@gewglesux What really sucked though was in 2009, some low life broke into my garage , where all my models were hangered ( except any needing repair or maintenance) and stole the bleeding lot! Plus fuel carriers/pumps, my electric starter, some stored engines from the engine drawer and in my complete flight box. 🤬 Fortunately the low life did not get my Tx case. While waiting for the Insurance Check to arrive, I had ample time to discuss with older and wiser heads at my club, (including the one who taught me to fly, a former Pylon racer) the future of R/C and what to go for. Brushless Outrunners and LiPoly Batteries has just appeared on the scene and many of the old timers, some who had been flying R/C since the late 1960’s , could see what was coming and advised me that since I was effectively going to have to start from scratch, to consider going down the path of electric flight. The foamie model was not far from coming on the scene and when they finally did, the early ones, made from EPS Foam, not EPO, were very fragile. They effectively were “one crash wonders.” 🤣 So I chose E.P. and built lightweight balsa models that I could convert from glow to E.P. without to many hassles. I still love balsa planes. It’s like boating in a wooden boat over a composite one. They have a precision that synthetic material ones don’t have. I have 2 Balsa EP models in my current inventory. Both are now quite old and are o.o.p. This new Challenger ticks all the boxes. I understand that it can be set up to use glow power, which also is a big plus, for those who can still fly using that power source without the hassles I have to go through. 😉 Personally, I don’t care what power source a person uses, as long as they have fun.😁😁
Nice Flying. Good Video. Kinda tame after the V1200 though. I've been flying an E-flite Valiant (nice plane) but the Challenger looks like it has a lot more aileron authority and vertical punch. I think it is going on my Xmas list.
Its actually really similar to the V1200 in the general type of performance but much less overall speed. The vertical performance of this is excellent!

Holy crap!!! 3s????? This is nutso!!! I love it!! Reminds me of the ARC planes from back in the 90s!! This looks like a blast!!!
Will you please compare this to the big horn?
AND....it comes with a SWEET Sunny Sky motor!! 🙂
Nice plane Rich and Wesley, great video👊🏼👊🏼
Great looking and flying balsa airplane, has awesome performance on 3S,thanks Rich and Wes!!
That plane looks pretty cool
Its a lot of fun to fly
RCINFORMER I’m getting a 80mm blue angel f18 👀 so maybe formation at that event next weekend...
Gavstreet Rc see you there 😉
Merry Boozer RC 👀👀👀🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I was lucky enough to get the Bighorn in the UK. Brilliant fir the price and no foam. This looks fun also👍🏻 Great stuff guys.
I was thinking of getting the ARF. What size motor fits? Specs aren’t listed on the linked website.
it already comes with the motor, ESC, and servos!

Simple canopy and balsa is good airfoil (minimum air friction)
I got the Big Horn coming in soon. My first balsa

Nice job guys gotta get wes trying out some 3D with it. It's fun watching you guys collaborate on plane's 😎👍👍✌
I’m sold. I haven’t flown a model like that since I stopped flying Glow powered planes.
Why would anyone stop flying Glow?

Has Rich flown the BigHorn? Looks like a good day of fun. Thanks Wesly. AirHammer out!!
Not yet but soon!
This is awesome I'm picking one up.
I just subscribed to your channel.
Thanks Rafael!
Can it hover?
I have not tried it. However, I've never branched into 3D flying. It's just never been an area of interest for me.
