Great job! Under the description of this plane on OMP,s website is a active sentence that reads.. Product manual can be downloaded by clicking this sentence.. Not at top of page go farther down!! They left the C.G out.. 60-65mm
I had the OMP Challenger and it was a great plane. However, this is a warning, at my level the challenger needed a max of no more than 50% rates to be controllable. Very very quick response. Be careful on your maiden. They are well built planes. Thanks for the videos.
Looks extreme on the aileron linkages! Aside from looks, seems to me, they should've offset the servos OR control horns to combat that. Just my opinion.
I just pulled mine out of the box to begin assembling (Big Horn Pro with flaps just like yours). If ailerons and/or flaps didn’t come with included Y harness, can’t that be added as extra attachment to allow for 5 channel set up?
Yes but you will need to mix the flaps together to get them to work as flaps. Or you can also use Y harnesses and do a full wing aileron configuration. Also be careful not to over tighten the tail wheel I stripped mine out now a replacement is on the way.
You are super helpful to us newbies, I am setting up this plane never flown yet and I was struggling to understand flaps setup, you make it super simple my friend 😁 God bless
I see you are using the AR620. I bought a AR630 (AS3X and SAFE) receiver for this airplane and then found out that Spektrum does not recommend reversing servo harnesses or mixing channels if you operate in AS3X. So now I am left with the option of replacing the stock servos with a pair of servos where one is reversed, or buying programable servos and reversing one of them with a program interface. Yikes! Can you think of less expensive options? Yes, I could just mix two servo channels and not activate the AS3X. :(
In order to use that receiver in this plane just buy ONE reversed servo for flaps. That should be all you need. However to be honest, if you have a little bit of experience just put a ar620 like I did in this plane. Turn your rates way down to tame those big control surfaces and fly easy with her until you get use to her. She is a very stable plane with the throws dialed down. (reduce the movement on the control surfaces)
I heard you say the term "scale plane". What does this mean? does this mean basic aircraft without the advanced controls?(such as a mig-29 or Su-35 thrust vector control?)
Scale planes has 2 meanings, 1 is the scale or duplication of a real plane into model form . 2 is referred to as flying as a flying style. What this means is with this plane is that with these big control surfaces, and if this was a real plane the moves this plane could do would not be realistic for passengers or a pilot. IE a violent SNAP ROLL that this plane could do would kill people inside if it was full sized.
This plane was a blast to build , very easy and pretty straight forward. Great foam to wood crossover plane!
Thanks for the practical hints. I am new to this hobby, so I will need to learn about "mixing" the servos for the flaps.
I really wish I could simply explain it . But it does take many steps but not too hard.
looks like it's going to be a nice addition to the hanger...
I will be loading the maiden flight up today. ..............its amazing!

Yes I included it in the video description. Thanks!
Looking forward to the maiden, I have the red version, have not flown it yet , very easy build I found , quality Item 👍
I think I will have a very agile plane on my hands!

Thanks for the info! And thanks!

Everything seems to be 3d favored, but makes sense they produce alot of 3d planes. I will just have to tame her with low rates and a lot of expo.

Glad I could help!
The blue Omp bighorn is back in stock after a year. Hows this feel over thr timber x?
they fly very similar but this one has crisper more precise movements.
