Not really.. More keep coming every month. It’s an island so it if you really want to go to the mainland, you will have to cross the border again illegally if you don’t have the proper documentation
If you want to go to NYC, you can take a plane from DR. If you come without documentation to PR, you can’t get on a plane…
The media always wants to portray PR as the worse… because they want us to feel discouraged and use our fears for political reasons. People leave DR because it’s poorer. They usually know people in PR so they know what they are getting done into
Personally, I think PR has better living standards than NY or LA. At least you don’t see as many homeless people
Those who support this should keep their doors at home unlocked and let them move in. 👍

My top reason for resentment toward those who cross the border illegally is medical care.
I took my daughter who had a broken arm to the ER.
Right after we walked in, a whole family walked in with a little girl coughing, but running around and asking for snacks.
The financial person called us to a station and said we have a $500.00 deductible on our insurance. We paid it.
Then presumably the girls parents went to see the financial person. Then I heard the woman (mother?) say, “No. No tenemos papeles, ni tenemos seguro tampoco.” That was to say they didn’t have any legal papers (undocumented) and they didn’t have insurance either.
So that little girl saw a doctor for whatever and it was all free. We, as citizens, had to pay $500.00.

They better get it together and not let not even one sneak in!!!!
What's stupid is the DR has plenty of food but exporting to the DR is hard bc of the Jones Act and other regulations that make food more expensive. PR used to be a big dairy producer and dairy is expensive in the DR. Meanwhile, plantains and other produce is cheap in the DR, but it comes from the mainland in PR.
PR needs to get its food sovereignty back. .
@Juan Carrero lets do it together im all in ride or die
Lets start trading with them without letting the coast guard and cop boats stop us. We outnumber them immensely, but im afraid that it will take mass casualties from people dying of starvation here before the stupid spell is broken and by then it may be too late. I say spell because thats what most politicians laws are
@Juan Carrero El echo de que pintas a toda una raza de un solo color dice mucho de la burbuja en la que vives.
@Juan Carrero yes the problem is the politicians not the Jones Act
@Juan Carrero yeah those countries are very fucked up
Two sides to every story. Where are they from and what do they plan to do. Asylum from violence or evading capture due to violence and continue rampage in your town. Terrorists or traffickers, criminals, rapists could be one or all of the group who just landed and you helped them. Will you be their next victim tomorrow. Countless stories of people thinking they are helping illegals find out the hard way by being the next victim on the long list. I have sympathy for those who need the help but there is a process to come into another country and it’s for their safety and ours.

PUERTO RICO is going to see a growth in Mopeds 😮
We already seeing their mopeds here in NYC
And we wonder why our taxes so high. You are paying for free housing, food, and free medical care for non Americans.
That’s the lie government use on the civilians they do this in the uk also. The aid they send to other countries to wash is way more than the taxes we pay

People cheer for their own economical downfall.
Crazy.

@@someangrypotato7197I doubt half of those people do unskilled labor. More theft and drug dealing.
@@diollinebranderson6553they didn’t cheer. You clearly don’t know Spanish or the accent, some people where scared and surprised, some others were encouraging the immigrants to run away. DR and PR aren’t that far or different, we’re both countries set to poverty because of our “mother country”.
@@someangrypotato7197 You know whats funny?
I work in the housing industry, maybe you shouldnt indoctrinate young men that they are trash, make them feel worthless unless they are rich, then have no more people working as construction workers and import millions of people which you have no housing for?
Building houses takes time, i know thats hard to understand for people that are inside a office all day.
This has been happening all over the US territories and some remote beaches in the US mainland. There’s a video from a beach in Alabama that shows this occurring. I’m not anti immigrant but it’s crazy to think there’s so much recklessness in driving boats onto American beaches, and this is clearly illegal
People are desperate.

I'm a 2nd generation immigrant to the US. My advice is just do to it legally. It's much easier and you won't be pinned down by a tourist from Texas 😂
Lot of people don’t have the option to do it legally. Also saw a documentary of a kid who’s dad would literally have to wait 70 years for an interview before starting the immigration process.
It's not easy, lmao, that's why people don't do it legally. I know a lot of immigrants, and the ones who think it's easy to do it legally had much better circumstances or just plain luck.
@@I_live_in_ur_walls-xv9uk The issue is, if you ever enter a country illegally, the police will look for you and that's a risk you know you're taking.
