Thanks Jason for the honest assessment of where we’re headed. True there is a lot of uncertainty. But the best approach is to stay long or “hold” your longs rather than chase into the market at this point. And “wide trading stops” help keep you in while preventing a huge loss on the day you’re out of town and not watching the stock market!
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO -- LIKE YOUR APPROACH. I notice on your website you use 10 xATR for stops. How was this determined ?? Is there any research to support this number instead of say 7 x ATR or other numbers ???
10 ATR comes from backtesting thousands of trades with several decades of data. The aim of backtesting is to find a region of robustness, not a perfect number. ATRs of 8 to 12 would produce comparable overall outcomes. I typically go with a round number somewhere around the middle of good working range. I'm glad the videos are helpful :-)
Outstanding Thank you Jason you are on the money and there are plenty who are not.. Your Charts are amazing and are best guide to where the Market is going. Thank you so much.
