You also can't just reupload it either as it auto detects and puts the block on automatically right away. Looking at other options as well but basically playing the waiting game right now with Sony music.
I think what probably happened is that someone from the animes orginal production staff probably found the cd that had the unused/ beta tracks on it and thought that some the tracks on it might be well suited to be the ps2 games soundtrack so that's how it ended up as the games intro theme
Macross PS2's intro doesn't use actual instruments, unlike this one. The difference is very noticeable with how the guitar flows between the notes. Here, it's pretty smooth because it's being played with an actual guitar. Meanwhile, in the PS2 game you can tell it switches from one note to the other in a jarring and unnatural manner because it's using a guitar from a synth keyboard.

This is not unreleased it is the main theme for the Super Dimension Fortress Macross PS2 game.
