- Part of Greenfrog Productions video that covers the Northeast. An LIRR GP38-2 #252 notches up out of Sayville station, first going east and then heading west on the return trip.
At NJ Transit we still use dozens of GP40-2s in commuter service. Best dang engines we got!

The "ancient" beasts had fewer mechanical problems than the current fleet of diesel engines despite the lack of maintenance by the MTA.
not sure who the narrator is, but his compass if off, the last train in this clip is heading west, not east.
So given the talk of retirement and the completed construction of the high level platforms, this has to be 1998 or 1999. My question is, when was the crosswalk over the tracks built? I always figured it was done at the same time as the platforms.
