These are great rigs,I love mine. Well did til my wife stole it and uses it all the time,haha. We upgraded the driveshafts to rc4wd punisher shafts,rc4wd roof rack and filled the shocks up with oil. Stock electronics work fine but that's the next upgrade later on.

Being my wife stole my first 1,I just bought another. Except I got the white pickup truck version. I told her it would be nice to go out on the trails together with matching rigs and she thought that would be 'cute' 👍 😄😄😄.

Looks Great for the price!! I just think it would look more Hobby Grade if the body was lower and the wheels look like off center in the wheel wells. Maybe in person they look better. Thanks another great video. You must be running out of room now...
I've got some 2.2 Alloy Wheels coming, and some new Crawler Tyres that are a little bigger the the stock ones. Hoping it'll improve the look as I agree.... the wheels look a little out of place. I am certainly running out of space haha.

This is a very similar size to the FTX kanyon XL which is crazily classed as a 1/10 but its huge at 19'' long lol, I think some manufacturers just throw scale numbers out, I'm surprised this is more expensive then the ftx kanyon XL though, but the transmitter does have more features.. Are there full back up spares readily available for these though, if there is its a great contender..
Yes, it's pretty big! I think it's 23" total, not including the spare wheel. As for spares, I've not looked in to it. But Double E are a pretty big company, so would think they'd have availability, might take a month or 2 to get stocked though.
I've been considering this for a while ever since I saw the review by Steve/RC Tanks and Trucks. Thanks to your videos on the ZP1001 I've ordered one of those and look forward to it arriving soon. Now, depending on your review of this I may have to fork out another 200 euros to get one. I really like models with lots of scale detail and this fits the bill perfectly. I have some 250mm female figures which might just be perfect for this. Can't wait to see your next video of this model.
i bought this land rover but the tyres that were fitted were smaller (newer model) . Only the spare tyre at the back was big and resembled the tyres on your land rover. Is there any way i could purchase the older model bigger tyres for my land rover ?
Looks sweet that mate! You can tell its big because of the new camera angle haha. Quick question, the 2 speed didn't sound mechanical, did it just change the ESC settings to make it go quicker or is there a gearbox?
@@TomleyRC even if the defender has a hobbywing 1060 esc and a flysky receiver and transmitter. My local hobby shop has the upgraded defender and the fj cruiser. Cant make up my mind 😅
Nice vid. Always hard to tell how good a truck really looks from a video but your reaction certainly gives some beef to other reviews that tell us how good this truck really does look. Hilarious how the Chinese always seem to mess up on the scaling calcs... at least this one is under scaled it took all my will power to not make a tiny Chinese people with tiny little scales joke, or did I just fail? (Kind of like tiny little Italian horses - powering cars)
yup, WPL sure fails what scale is what! the C-14/24 is really right about 1/13 while same wheelbase+track of a B-1 looks 1/18 scale, 1/20 figure too small and 1/16 are too large.

Tomley RC No. Its not 1/7. Its 1/8. The cheap one got the scale wrong. E328-003 suppose to be 1/10 not 1/8. And your 1/7 is actual 1/8. Youll make people confuse.

Real 2 speed.... just pretty slick :) There's a little servo in there that selects high/low

Fizain Fandy 15” Wheel base. A real Land Rover 110 has a 110” Wheelbase (hence the name). So 110/15 = 7.3
